Despite the attacks only being released and not making contact with their targets, the island was already quaking beneath the ferocity of their assault, and the air was filled with the deafening roar of their clash.

Witnessing the approaching attacks, Xebec's face wore a serious expression, he had to go all out to defend against these two attacks, otherwise, he would most likely be seriously injured.

"I really wanted to avoid using this power, but…. Rise!"

As the combined onslaught of Vice Admiral Garp's Galaxy Impact and Captain Roger's Divine Departure hurtles toward him, Xebec calls upon the power of his Dark Dark Fruit with a defiant roar.

The ground, dead bodies, and everything in his surroundings were all incorporated into the darkness, even the onlookers watching from a distance were starting to feel an attraction pulling them toward Xebec's location.

Causing them to scream and retreat further back in horror, they didn't expect Xebec's attack to have such a wide range.

But Xebec's target wasn't them, but himself, the darkness swirled and coalesced around him, weaving together into a formidable barrier standing tall and unyielding against the oncoming assault.

The attacks of Garp and Roger collide with the wall of darkness with a thunderous roar, the air crackled with energy as the opposing forces clash in a titanic struggle for supremacy.

The dark clouds that filled the sky were immediately ripped apart by the collision, everything within the surrounding radius of the clash was turned to dust, and some were even completely obliterated.

As the dust cleared Rocks D. Xebec emerged from the darkness almost unscathed, his figure surrounded by an eerie smoke-like darkness and from time to time, lightning would crackle on his body.

Surveying the scene before him, Xebec's serious expression finally returned to his earlier calm, wearing a big grin on his face.

Seeing Xebec's state, both Garp and Roger could only shake their heads in disappointment, they wanted to at least injure him with this attack, but nonetheless, they still had the energy to continue fighting.

"Let's go, Roger!" Garp shouted, "Shave" and he turned into a blur, dashing towards the figure of Xebec.

And Roger did not fall behind either, clenching his sword 'Ace', he sped behind Garp to once again confront Xebec 'Swoosh', "Wait for me Garp!" he shouted.

"...you guys are gonna what!"

At that moment, the red-haired figure of Figarland Garland 'Woosh!' turned into a blur as he appeared in front of Whitebeard, swinging his Haki-infused sword at the distracted Whitebeard, 'Swish!' 'Plorkk!'.

The sword attack managed to cut across his chest, and he reacted by 'Crack!' covering his hands in his Gura Gura No mi power and punching towards Figarland's direction.

Crackkk! But Figarland 'Woosh!' had already started to retreat, 'Boom!'. Seeing the aftereffects of his attack, Whitebeard's face wore a look of concern.

Although he didn't like his current crew, with the news he just heard, they needed to retreat now otherwise they would be cleansed together with this island.

Yes! Garling revealed that this Island was about to be obliterated by the secret weapon of the World Government, and Whitebeard, when he heard that for some reason knew that Garling wasn't lying.

And it was in that moment of distraction that Figarland, with his immense speed and swordsmanship, slashed at Whitebeard, managing to wound him.

"We have to leave, we already have what we came for anyways, I don't know about that fella Xebec though." Whitebeard muttered to himself.

He knew that no one was truly loyal to Xebec on this crew, they were only working together to help fulfill each other's goal, and when they have done so, the moment a situation arises where they can leave the Rocks pirates without having to worry about Xebec, the members will not hesitate to abandon the crew.

While all of this was going on, unbeknownst to everyone present on the island, standing on the seashores far out from the island was a figure of legends.

Ephon was currently standing on top of a tree, that extended all the way down to the sea floor. In his hands was a square-shaped iron item about the size of his palms, but upon closer inspection, it was easy to discover that this object was actually a camera.

With his Observation Haki which is strong enough to sense from islands away, Ephon didn't need to come this close if all he wanted was to watch a historic fight.

That is also because that is not Ephon's purpose for coming here, his purpose is to help his science department collect data on the secret weapon of the World Government.

You see, this is a specially made camera, with strong durability, and various features that allow it to zoom in on objects from long distances away. It can even ignore the effect of lights and energy waves.

"When are they gonna use that weapon?" Ephon muttered to himself.

He had been here for a while now, he came here after Roger and the Rocks pirates had raided this island. So he missed out on most of the actions, but these things didn't interest him anyway.

In fact he even managed to sneakily get a devil fruit from among the many devil fruits he had sensed when he first came here.

How he did it was simple actually, he first created a tree in a secluded area on God Valley, after sensing that no one was in that area with his Observation Haki, and then using his 'Eutierria' ability, he transported his self on the island.

While in this 'Eutierria' state, other's Observation Haki will sense him as a tree, so it is one of the best abilities for espionage.

He then silently took the Devil Fruit, whiles executing some other actions pertaining to his future plans after knocking out some Marines and easily transported himself back towards his current location.

He didn't want to make his presence known because that would mess up everything he was working towards, and his current mission would likely fail.
