The Bounded Bow

Throughout history, there has been cases where weapons were affected by their surroundings.

The Shichiseiken, the blade that is considered the world's most beautiful sword, has its own cursed history.

It was created by a God, intended as a weapon for the king of the land to use to protect his people.

One day, a maiden with unparalleled beauty was found, and three princes tried to gift the sword in order to capture her heart.

Due to this, the princes' relationships became strained, and eventually, they embroiled themselves in a bloody war.

The sword became tainted by all the negative aura surrounding it, and became cursed.

Just like the bow wielded by the patricide, whose name has been lost in the sands of time.

The bow itself has a bloody history, comparable to that of the Shichiseiken's.

The bow was made by an unknown hunter, who forged it with the pulp from an unknown devil fruit that possessed the properties of fire, and eventually, it was passed onto a wandering hunter known simply as Sova.

Sova, similarly to the Shichiseiken, tainted his bow with blood from the beasts he hunted.

Perhaps the bloodshed enhanced the powers of Sova's bow, or it could've been the blood of one of the beasts he had hunted, but it was unknown which one due to the sheer number of them.

On his deathbed, Sova decided to leave his bow in the basement, and with time, the bow's power faded and faded away.

Sova never even intended for the Snake of Mercury to be the target of the hunt to reawaken his weapon. In reality, his descendants only needed the blood of any beasts to re-awaken the bow.

It was unknown where the myth that the Snake of Mercury's blood was needed to awaken the bow came from, but it sure didn't start from Sova.

He must've been turning in his grave as he watched his descendants die for nothing.

For centuries, many has failed to re-ignite the flames of the bow, until he came and bounded the weapon to him.
