[Crocodile pov:]
We were on our way to Arabasta, currently I'm relaxing in my quarters observing a strange, blue and white, pineapple looking fruit, The Goro Goro no mi.
[What to do with you... at first I wanted to give it to Nami, now I don't know if that is the best course of action, Enel aquired this fruit in 1516 so he had time to train with it. But... it is also said that after getting his devil fruit powers Enel destroyed the entire island of Birka so it comes with some fire power from the start.
I could also eat it, but is it worth it?... In his letter God told me that he removed the curse from my devil fruit, that should include the side effect of only being able to eat one devil fruit. But that's just it he removed the curse only from MY devil fruit, this means that if I am to eat another, sure I won't die but I will once again be weakened by seawater, seastone and so on. Is it worth giving up my uniqueness for more fire power?]
[I don't think me eating the goro goro no mi is viable, so only one option remains since I don't have anyone else to give this fruit.]
I exit my quarters and head out to Nami.
"Hmm? what's up boss?" -Nami
"Do you remember when you asked me if you should eat a devil fruit or not? If you want I have one right now." -Crocodile
"What? so soon, I thought devil fruits were rare, when did you aquire it?" -Nami
"I found it on Skypiea, actually it's the fruit of the former tyrannical God, Enel, a logia type devil fruit." -Crocodile
"Whoa the fruit of someone who could call himself God... are you sure about this? Giving it so easily and a logia type at that too." -Nami
"It's okay, do you want it?" -Crocodile
"*Cough* Yes, what is the devil fruits name?" -Nami
I pull out the same blue and white odd looking fruit and I speak: "This is The Goro Goro no mi, it allows the user to control and become lightning at will"
[Maybe it's not such a bad idea to give this fruit to Nami, I mean even Oda said that the goro goro no mi would be the perfect devil fruit for her. And with her talent for weather I am sure she will come up with interesting ways to use this devil fruit.]
Dismissing my thoughts I hand over the fruit to Nami, who after observing it for a few seconds and after mustering up the courage she finally takes a bite.
[Nami pov:]
As I bite into this odd shaped fruit I am met with a disgusting taste, it is probably the most awful thing I have ever eaten or will eat. But I muster some will and I began to eat it all. I guess it's a small price to pay for obtaining such a powerful ability, I can make lightning rain from the sky, I also obtain incredible mobility and reflexes.
I soon as I finished eating it, I instantly know in my subconscious what devil fruit I have eaten and what abilities I have gained.
I have been training in haki since Crocodile took me under his wing and I had some success with observation haki but it pales in comparison to what I can do now.
It's like the area I could reach with my observation haki increased thousands foldes. I could even sense some actions before they happen, like I could see how Crocodile's hand was placed on my shoulder but when I looked closer his hand was still approaching at my shoulder.
I could instantly feel a connection to all forms of lighting, from the one in the sky to the little electricity found on our ship, and I could control it all. I can understand now how that guy, Enel had the balls to say he was a God, I can't blame him, it feels like it.
But I can't make the same mistake as him, I need to train even harder than Enel. He had this incredible ability for years and Crocodile could take him down in two moves or so Mr.1 says. I guess it could also be attributed to his new sand but the fact still remains, there are many strong people all over the world. And now I could be considered one of them, meaning some will try to fight me, I can't rely every time on Crocodile, I need to become stronger.
Many will also come for my head in order to get the Goro Goro no mi, I can't be lazy or I will die.
My newfound power is simply amazing... Crocodile, a few months back I had no idea who this man even was, I only heard some rumors. But after getting to know him, I have even more questions, how did he know so much about Skypiea even though it was his first time there, I realized he could've just lied to us but I didn't find a reason for him to do so.
Even now, why did he give me this overpowered devil fruit, especially since I am not heavily combat oriented. If it was me in his shoes I certainly wouldn't give this fruit to a relatively new member of my crew, but he did. He also seems to know what to do in any situations, like with the Knock-Up Stream. I heard him saying something about a upcoming war but when I checked the papers there was no mention of any war. Since I joined his crew I develop some connections in the Underworld/Black market but not even there was I able to find info.
The more time i spend with him the more I realize how strange this man is. He gives the vibe that he knows things before they happen.
[Crocodile pov:]
"Are you okay, Nami?" I say as I place a hand on her shoulder. She seems to be lost in thoughts.
"Ahh.. Yeah... it's just...incredible, my newfound connection with all forms of lighting." -Nami
"Hmm... Yes, I know the feeling, I experienced it after I ate the Suna Suna no mi, you will get used to it. You should take the rest of the day to familiarize yourself with your new abilities, If you want combat experience you could either ask Lucci or me for help." -Crocodile
"Yeah I think I'll do that." -Nami After that I left her to practice and began making my way back.

{Yo, look I know many aren't happy with my decision regarding the goro goro no mi. Some of you said that Crocodile didn't even try to recruit Enel, even if he tried harder Enel simply wouldn't have joined (Unless I completely changed his character). He has a God complex, he literally thinks he is a God, why would he ever serve Crocodile?
With Rob Lucci it was understandable, he was shocked by the fact that there were people more powerful than him. He considered himself strong but when someone who just toyed with him arrived he didn't know what to think. His whole ideology is based on power. That's why he joined Crocodile's crew.
As for why I gave the Goro Goro no mi to Nami... it seems like the most logical course of action. Oda himself stated that this devil fruit was the perfect one for Nami. And if not Nami who?
Some also didn't understand how Crocodile was able to manipulate and control seastone sand. In the first chapter I stated that after being transmigrated, God removed the curse from his devil fruit. This means no more weakness to seastone, water etc.
For him seastone is just another rock.
He has a substance that can weaken any devil fruit users and he is immune to that substance. It wouldn't make much sense if he wouldn't have used it.
