6 Meeting with Crocodile

[Crocodile pov:]

At the moment, in front of me sits a slim young woman of average height with orange hair and brown eyes. She is wearing a orange miniskirt with two white rings one each side filled in with orange or brown, and a white shirt with blue streaks. This, of course, is none other then Nami the current navigator of my crew.

"Hey, if I knew that your boss is a Warlord I never would have accepted... it's all over, my life, now its just a matter of time until I meet my end."

"Ha Ha Ha, you don't have to worry about that, as long as you're under my protection very little people can touch you. Now on a more serious note if we are gonna be comrades we'll have to trust each other, so tell me what is your dream."

"You might think it's stupid... I want to be the first to create an entire world map."

"Hmm... you know that's not gonna be easy, but nevertheless I will help you accomplish it. Of course as long as you help me accomplish my dream."

"You knowm... most people would have laughed in my face and made fun of me."

"Now... do you know about Devil fruits and haki?"

"I know about devil fruits but aren't they just myths?"

[Hm, I forgot that most people think that devil fruits are just legends]

"I can assure you they are very real" and as soon as I finished my sentence I dispersed into sand.

"What!? How is this possible!!?"

"Devil Fruits, they aren't legends, I ate a Logia type devil fruit, the Suna Suna no mi, it allows me to control and turn into sand." after my demonstration I reverted back.

[Wow she truly is shocked, if the open mouth and eyes popping out of her sockets is enything to go by. Well I guess suddenly learning that people can have superhuman abilities is pretty shocking.]

I can see she is trying to compose herself.

"Cough Cough.. Wait you said ,,a logia type" does that mean there are more types?"

"Haa, what a great observation, yes there are in total of three types of devil fruits. Logia, Zoan and Paramecia."

"First, the most common of the three Devil Fruit types, Paramecia-Devil Fruits grant their users a wide variety of superhuman powers; these powers include things like Shock wave generation and locking onto targets. Paramecia Fruits can alter features of the user's body, granting them a slippery physique, a body of blades, or the ability to split their own body into pieces harmlessly. Some Paramecia Fruits allow the user to modify the people, objects, and environment around them by making things levitate or turning people into toys. Finally, some fruits exist that allow users to generate and manipulate substances, like wax or poison."

"Second, Zoan type devil fruits. The users of Zoan-type Devil Fruits gain the ability to transform into a specific animal, as well as transform into a hybrid form that combines attributes of their own species and the species the fruit allows them to transform into. Unlike other Devil Fruits, Zoan-type fruits are said to have a will of their own.Zoan fruits greatly enhance the users physical abilities and are the best kind of power for augmenting melee combat. 

Aside from most Zoans that transform their users into animals that currently exist, there are two known sub-classifications:

Ancient - Zoan Fruits that allow the user to transform into an extinct species, such as dinosaurs.

Mythical- Zoan Fruits that allow the user to transform into mythological creatures, such as a dragon or a phoenix. Mythical Zoan animals tend to have additional special powers, like a phoenix Zoan being able to generate flames that have healing powers. Mythical Zoans are the rarest type of Devil Fruit, even more so than Logias."

"And finally Logia type devil fruits. The rarest and most powerful of the three Devil Fruit types, Logia-type Devil Fruits allow their users to create, control, and transform their body into a natural element, such as sand, mud, smoke,  lightning, plant life, and even darkness."

"Wow, this is a lot to take in, and you said something about Haki?"

"Haki is a mysterious power that allows the user to utilize their own spiritual energy for various purposes.

It can be used to sense people's spiritual energy and predict their actions, this is called Observation Haki. It can give the user a protective coating of spiritual energy, also known as Armament Haki, this type of haki allows one to touch logia type devil fruit users. And for a certain group of "chosen ones", it can overpower the willpower of others, the rarest of the bunch, Conquerors Haki.

All living beings in this world are capable of learning Haki; however, most people do not notice it or fail to awaken it."

"So does that mean I can learn haki too?"

"Yes, well if you wanna sail in New World, the second part of Grandline as a pirate, it's pretty much required. That is if you don't wanna die."

"Eeek, can you teach me?"

"Yes, your training will begin tomorrow morning, Robin show her the room in which she will be staying."

"Yes Boss."

"Also, before I go why is your hand black?"

"I lost my hand in a battle with Whitebeard, so I made one of sand an activate Armament haki over it."

[Nami pov:]

[Unbelievable I never thought I will join a pirate crew willingly and now I'm the navigator of a Warlord, Crocodile.

Well it's not all bad, I learned that he is the one behind the new casinos so he must be filthy rich, and from what I heard when I first came here he saved the princes and is in good relation with the royal family.

Also for a man of his age he doesn't look bad, one might even call him handsome.]

Before I go further down that lane, the woman who's name I just found out was Robin spoke:

"For the time being this will be your room."

"wow" a incredibly luxurious room stood before me. "I will surely enjoy it here."

"Fufufufu... I'm honestly surprised you're here, Boss never mentioned you before this, it makes me wonder how did he know about you."

"Well I don't know either, just that a handsome Warlord took a sudden interest in me, eeek could he be after my body?"

"Fufufufu... I doubt it, he isn't the kind of man that would go to such lengths just to get laid. Also there are many women in this country who would be more then happy to drop their panties for him. Tomorrow I will start teaching you about Haki."
