Notification- Read First

Hello everyone, This is just a quick post to inform you just what this fanfiction is. Originally I wrote, One Piece: Fourth Brother on Fanfiction.net, ages ago, and I was getting good traction on it, everything seemed to be going well, but there were certain points in my OC's backstory that I had taken liberty with that later came up in canon that would prove to be rather tricky for me to work around later down the line when my fanfiction reached that point.

So with that in mind, I had to put things on hold to try and could fix my mistake, only then to take a bigger look at things I had planned, and realized that more problems were likely to arise from other things revolving around my OC, things that could completely alter canon, so this lead to me going into complete overhaul mode to start back from the very beginning and take a fresh look at everything before I started to rewrite stuff.

Those of you who have read the original on Fanfiction.net will no doubt see the resemblance to the original in many places, as well as a number of changes that I have implemented from the original.

The first that you see, will no doubt be my OCs devil fruit abilities, or lack therefore of.

In the original, my OC had the Sāji Sāji no mi, the Surge Surge devil fruit, a Logia Type devil fruit that is similar, if slightly weaker than, the Goro Goro no mi, the rumble rumble devil fruit that Enel has

Given that my OC has many more years of experience on the sea than the rest of the crew and is a new world veteran himself, he will no doubt prove to be more powerful than the rest of the straw hats, at least until after the two year skip.

It's with this in mind that I have made the decision to take away his Devil fruit powers in the first half of the grand line, as I felt that they just made him way too overpowered for the first half of the story.

While I know many will disagree with me and will be disappointed in this change, this is my story and I feel like there needs to be some kind of balance, for now at the very least.

Rest assured however that my OC will not be remaining without a devil fruit for the whole story, I do plan to give him one eventually, and I would be open to suggestions on which one for him to get, currently my only idea is the Goro Goro no mi, but overall I feel like that would be the too obvious choice.

Another thing to mention, is that the two other OCs that joined the story later on, Darius and Eva, will not be returning to the story.

Darius was an OC that another writer, and friend of mine, made and asked me to write him in, however I have since lost contact with him and as such I wouldn't feel comfortable continuing with him.

Eva, may end up joining the story again at some point, though I am unsure, the matter is still up in the air.
