5 Hypnosis

Chuck was a great scout; he and his team spent the next sixteen hours in the sky before they managed to track down the black cat pirates.

"Caw."

Chuck reported his findings to Ace; he was standing straight while giving his report. 

His soldier-like attitude was admirable, even for the pirates present here.

"You found the black cat pirates; are they having a banquet? I see, lead the way, Chuck, we are going to crash their party."

Ace chuckled. This would be his first true naval battle. He was used to gang fights on the ground; a sea fight would be a new experience for him.

"Caaw."

Chuck nodded and flew up. Ace's ship followed behind him closely.

Ace was feeling excited; he and Alvida were standing at the bow of the ship, waiting for their target.

"Ace, I won't slip and fall in the middle of the fight, right?"

Suddenly Alvida asked nervously. She was not used to her slipping powers and was scared that she would mess up mid-fight.

But Ace didn't seem to think so; he laughed a bit before taking out a knife and slashing at Alvida's hand.

*Slip*

Alvida was shocked, but then looked at her hand weirdly; the knife had just slipped off her skin. That was a sharp knife. How did she do that?

"See that? Those are your slipping powers."

Ace twisted the knife and put it back into the holster.

"It doesn't matter if you mess up, because no attack can hurt you. Every attack is going to slip past your body."

"Blunt attacks, cutting slashes, piercing weapons, bats, punches, kicks—nothing can hurt you, Alvida. Your powers of slipping are too strong."

Ace explained to Alvida her powers. Alvida might not know this, but she had immunity to all kinds of damage. 

Getting hurt should be the least of her concerns.

"What? Am I immune to damage? No way, Ace, am I also immune to your fire? I want to test that out."

Alvida said it excitedly, which made Ace think for a bit.

"Huh, good point."

"I know you are immune to physical damage, but are you also immune to elemental damage? Will my fire also slip off your body?"

Ace grinned. There was only one way to find out.

"Fireball"

*Whoosh*

"It's hot!"

Alvida yelled; a fireball was almost touching her nose, she was feeling a burning sensation before it even hit her.

"No, my beautiful hair will be destroyed."

Alvida didn't want to burn her gorgeous hair, so she desperately hoped the fireball would slip off her body.

*Slip*

And surprisingly, it did; Alvida had managed to make the fireball slip using her abilities.

This shocked Alvida; she definitely felt a burning sensation before, so why did it slip past her suddenly?

Ace on the other hand, knew what happened; Alvida activated her slipping powers and forced the fireball to slip.

"I got it; you aren't normally immune to elemental damage, but you can choose to ignore such attacks."

"If someone hits you with fire or ice and you don't see it coming, you will get hurt. But if you know it's coming, you can make it slip."

The slipping paramecia was strong; Ace would have been jealous of her powers if he wasn't a logia. 

Although this display of power was more than enough to boost Alvida's confidence.

"Hahaha! I am invincible!"

"Beautiful and invincible!"

Alvida laughed arrogantly. Ace chuckled and ignored her for now. He was already seeing the black cat pirate's ship.

It was time to fight.

"You can laugh later; let's go ram those idiots now."

Ace held down his hat and grinned. His men heard his command, and his ship began to pick up speed.

But not only that, Ace turned his hand back and expelled a massive jet of fire.

*Whoosh*

He was using his firepower to propel his ship even faster; his abilities made his ship essentially function like a rocket. 

Spade Pirate's ship would ram the black cat pirate's ship with full force.

Meanwhile, on the black cat pirate ship, the guy on the lookout was panicking. 

"Captain Jango, bad news! A pirate ship is about to ram into us; it's a pirate flag I have never seen before."

Jango, who was drinking and dancing, suddenly fell down from shock. His heart-shaped glasses came off, and he looked flabbergasted.

"What?! How did they get so close to us so fast? Prepare for impact!"

Jango quickly gave his men a command and grabbed onto something.

But his command was too late; the spade pirate ship had reached their ship like a speeding car.

*BOOOM*

A massive impact hit the black pirate ship; the ship's wood cracked, and splinters flew into the air.

*Craaaack*

Their ship was hit hard; the whole vessel was damn near split in half.

"Aaaagh! Who the hell are you??"

Jango yelled and questioned Ace angrily. Ace put his feet on the broken ship and laughed arrogantly.

"I am Portgas D. Ace, captain of the Spade Pirates! I am looking for your captain, Kuro."

Jango and the cats brother froze when they heard that, although the rest of the black cat pirate crew was yelling.

"He's dead, you idiot! Don't you know he was captured by the navy?"

A pirate angrily yelled at Ace, which made Ace's laughter stop abruptly.

He turned his head and looked at the guy who had yelled at him just now.

"Did you just jump order and yell at the enemy captain? Is that how they do it here? Can anyone talk shit to enemy captains?"

Ace asked Alvida with confusion, but she denied it.

"No, they probably think you are a rookie pirate. Only captains are supposed to talk to other captains."

Ace breathed a sigh of relief, so the gang rules still applied here. That's good.

"Oi Jango, this means your men insulted me first; Kuro can go to hell; I will teach your crew a lesson before that."

"Anyway, I am sure that shithead Kuro is still alive. How about this: army vs. army, commander vs. commander, and-"

"Captain vs. captain, are you up for it, Jango?"

Ace asked as he lit his finger on fire. Jango looked at that, then remembered Ace's ship being powered by fire rockets and immediately became cowardly.

"Ugh, how about I just tell you about Captain Kuro? Hahaha.."

Jango laughed weakly, but Ace narrowed his eyes.

"No, transgressions must be paid back with blood. Men, attack!"

*Oooou*

Spade pirates took out their swords and jumped on the broken black cat ship.

The black-cat pirates were tense and quickly looked at their captain. Now Jango had no choice; he gritted his teeth and took out his hypnosis weapon.

"Attack them with all your strength. 1 2 3 Jango!"

The men heard Jango's command and their minds became blank, before their eyes turned red and their muscles bulged.

Jango had just hypnotized his men and activated their hidden powers. His pirate army was pretty much in turbo mode now.

*OOOOOOUU*

With a mighty roar, black cat pirates struck the unprepared spade pirates.

"We will take you on."

"You don't stand a chance against us combined."

The cat brothers, on the other hand, jumped on top of a spade pirate ship; their target was Alvida.

"You are so ugly. I will finish this quickly, those idiots will die without my help."

Alvida said arrogantly and picked up her mace; she was going to have fun with this one.

"Jango it's only us, let's talk about life and death, me and you. Hahaha!"

Ace laughed and cracked his knuckles; fire burst out of his soles, and he rocketed into the sky.

"Wait, wait, wait."

Jango stumbled back with fear on his face, but just as Ace was about to land, Jango suddenly stopped with a hidden dark smile.

Ace landed on the ground and looked up with a smirk; but the first thing he saw was a coin on a string. 

Jango had his hypnosis weapon right before his face.

"You fell for it! 1 2 3 Jango!"
