"1 2 3 Jango. Stop where you are, Portgas D. Ace; you will go to sleep, NOW."

Jango exclaimed; he had managed to place his hypnosis weapon directly in front of Ace's face. He had timed his trap perfectly.

Nobody can escape his hypnosis; that was his specialty. Ace was as good as dead.

"Uhyahahya, I have learned a thing or two from Captain Kuro. I am so smart."

Jango was laughing and dancing; he was so happy that he had tricked Ace, that he forgot to check on him.

Something Kuro would have done for sure.

"Uhyahahya"

"Hahahahaha!"

Jango was laughing some more, but he couldn't help but think, Was that a second set of laughter he was hearing?

"Uhyahahya..?"

Jango laughed a little just to check.

"Hahahaha!"

Yes, there it was—the second set of laughter. But who was laughing so close to him?

The only guy who was standing close to him was

"Aaaagh, how are you still standing, Portgas D Ace?"

Jango stumbled back and pointed at Ace in an accusing way. Jango was totally not having it.

This was cheating; Ace took a hypnosis attack directly to his face; he should not be shrugging it off. 

"Are you curious why I am still standing? Are you wondering why your hypnosis doesn't work when it works on everyone, strong-willed or not?!"

Ace raised his head in a sly way and pointed at Jango, like he was a jojo character. 

"Yes! How did you do that?"

*Bang*

Jango was about to ask, but he received a solid punch from Ace directly to his face.

Jango went flying and crashed down on the crumbling ship wall. 

"It's because you only hypnotize living beings, and I am fire."

"A bunch of fire given human form."

Ace announced this before he started burning and collapsed into a bunch of flames.

Jango's glasses fell from his face; he was dazed. 

"What..?"

What did he fight just now? If this was a bunch of fire in the shape of a human, then the real Ace was

"How did you like my puppet? I call it Fire Clone. It's a neat little trick I created."

The captain's door opened, and Ace came out with a grin. He had been hiding inside his pirate ship all along.

Jango froze for a second before scolding Ace directly. 

"Bullshit! You said you were going to do captain vs. captain; you tricked me."

Jango angrily cursed Ace: Was there no trust remaining in this sea anymore?

Ace ignored Jango and dug into his ear; he looked like he was ignoring Jango on purpose. 

Just as Jango was about to blow his top, Ace said something that made Jango freeze.

"I was telling the truth; we will do Captain vs. Captain, but you are not the captain."

"You are just a puppet of Kuro, and you fought against my puppet. It's fitting, isn't it?"

"Don't you think it's sad, Jango, living a life that is all a lie?"

Ace's words shook Jango to the core. Ace knew; he knew everything about Kuro. This scared Jango.

Yet Ace's words made Jango tear up. He was right; Jango was tired of such a life. But he didn't have a choice.

"You don't know anything. I can't go against him. He will find me; Kuro will find me and kill me."

"I can only listen to his command; I cannot tell you where he is hiding. I will die if I tell you."

Jango pulled his hair in despair before getting up shakily. His skull was cracked, but his desire to survive drove him.

"What are you going to do in that state? You can't even stand properly."

"Give up; tell me where Kuro is hiding, and you can join me. I need talents like you in my crew."

Ace smiled with his arms folded; Jango had potential. He had become a marine in the original series after leaving piracy.

He could even erase memories, create new memories, and completely hypnotize someone as strong-willed as Luffy.

Ace was ready to give Jango a chance. 

"Uhyahahya, thank you, Portgas D Ace. But I won't fall without a fight."

"Beat me, and my life is yours."

Jango laughed. Before pulling out his hypnosis weapon, he took a deep breath and shouted with all his strength.

"Look at me everyone!"

The battlefield stopped, the loud shout attracted everyone's attention, and they looked at Jango all at once. 

"Wait, oh shit, Alvida. Why are you looking at him too? Look the other way."

Ace exclaimed, but it was too late. Jango took advantage of everyone's subconscious reaction to look at loud sounds and used his hypnosis weapon.

"Defeat Portgas D Ace, 1 2 3 Jango."

The entire battlefield froze for three seconds before every single human turned towards Ace, all at once.

This included Jango, who hypnotized himself by mistake.

"What are you idiots looking at? I will kick your teeth in."

"And Jango, why did you fall for your own hypnosis trick?? I was just about to praise you."

Ace was scowling. Mass hypnosis was a powerful tool. Now Ace had to fight against everyone, including his own crew.

Alvida, the cat brothers, Jango, and hundreds of pirates—everyone wanted to attack Ace all at once.

Normally this would have been a death sentence, but Ace had confidence.

The confidence of a logia.

"This would have been game over for me if I wasn't a logia. But I am; and you guys are toast."

"Ever heard of immunity to all attacks? Well, you are about to find out what that looks like."

Ace grinned. As for him holding back against his crewmates? That doesn't exist. Everyone was going to get a face full of fire, equally.

"Firefist!"

"Attttaaaack!"

A battle cry and two forces struck against each other: an army vs. one individual man.

*Bang*

*Bang*

*Bang*

Bullets, swords, bats—everything was hitting Ace all at once, but Ace kept moving forward.

"Take this! Ah, shit my head, take that!"

Ace's hands kept punching and his legs kept kicking, despite him missing chunks of his body, which were regenerating constantly from flames.

Ace was like a tirelessly burning machine; every punch and every kick took out someone. 

He was abusing the shit out of his logia immunity until he was suddenly struck with a black mace.

*Booom

For the first time since eating a logia, Ace felt an attack connect with his body.

Ace was caught off guard and skidded back three feet before he managed to balance again.

"What was that?? It felt like Mace slipped right past my defense."

Ace wasn't hurt, but the attack had stopped his flames from scattering; they had slipped past his heat and pushed him back.

"It was you, Alvida. Tch, paramecia does all kinds of weird shit."

Ace spat. Hypnotized Alvida would be the hardest to defeat. She was immune to damage just like him; he can't abuse Logia's intangible nature against her.

He would have to come up with a plan—something that would let him get past her slippery defense.
