Chapter 96

While we are on our way to Aokiji's little sister, I'm sparing with Ace and Urouge. I used Haki on both my hands and punched Ace on his right side, sending him flying into the wall. Urouge then tried to punch me, but he ended up next to Ace.

"Huff, huff, huff. Are you sure that this is how we can learn Haki?" asked Ace

"It worked for me."

"But you're a monster."

"And you two are geniuses."

"But a monster is clearly still stronger than a genius."

"That's because a monster has worked hard, and geniuses are just doing enough to stand above the rest. That is what will always separate us if you don't start putting all of your effort in training."

"But I train my ass off every day!"

"And it's clearly not enough. But enough talk, come at me already."

Ace looked at Urouge, and he nodded. Urouge suddenly picked Ace up and started spinning around. He suddenly threw Ace towards me. Ace came flying at a crazy speed, and he enveloped his fist with flames.

"TRY TO BLOCK THIS ONE!"

He tried to punch me, but I just sidestepped, and he flew past me, right through the wall and into the sea.

"Sigh, if he managed to land that hit, it would have been a strong attack, but he didn't so it was a stupid attack. I would expect something like that from Ace, but why did you have to go with it, Urouge."

He smiled at me.

"I just did what he wanted, Captain. But shouldn't you go safe him now?"

"Sigh, you guys will give me gray hear before I'm even 20. Go and hit the metal wall 1.000 times."

"Yes, Captain!"

He started hitting the metal wall, and I went to safe Ace. I used Geppo to hover just above the water, and I grabbed him out of the water by his collar.

"Cough, cough, cough. You bastard! Why did you dodge!?"

"Because I'm not an idiot. If you can dodge an attack, you should."

He glared at me, but I ignored him and took him back to the training room.

"Hit the metal wall 10.000 times."

"What!? But that shit hurts!"

"Then use Haki."

"But I can't."

I gave him a slap on the back of his head.

"Then learn it, like the good little dog you are."

"Tsk, I'll pay you back when I have mastered it."

He stood next to Urouge and also started hitting the wall. I went back to my books.

"Captain!"

Perona suddenly came flying towards me.

"What is it?"

She grabbed my book.

'Hm? So she is already able to use her fruit to fly with her physical body. She's impressive. I bet Moria didn't even try to develop her skills.'

"Impressive. I didn't expect you to master it so quickly."

She smiled.

"I did train more than I ever have, so it's only to be expected."

"What are you going to try next?"

"I want to make an explosion that's big enough to make even Captain scared."

"Oh, we're daring today, huh. Well, I like it. But you shouldn't focus too much on the size. You should try to condense it. And if you learn to condense the power, you're bigger hollow explosions will automatically become stronger."

"Why didn't I think of that!"

"And about your negative hollow, there are a lot of depressed people out there, so why don't you make a positive hollow?"

"Why would I do that? Isn't that counterproductive?"

"Just think about it. If you make a depressed person positive, you will be able to use your negative hollow, and then it will be even more effective. Could you imagine finally loving life and then all that happiness gets taken away. They'll definitely be crying on the ground for an hour."

I was sleeping when I suddenly heard someone knock on my door.

*YAWN*

"What is it, Laffitte?"

"Captain, I'm sorry to disturb your sleep. We're almost at the island, but I can sense danger in the water."

"I see. Go and wake Aokiji up. Give him a cloak to hide himself. It's better if he didn't get recognized."

"Yes, Captain."

*YAWN*

I got out of my bed and put on my clothes after I refreshed myself. I walked out of my room and walked to the upper deck. The ship started swaying left and right. When I arrived at the upper deck, I got soaked in a second. It's pitch black and raining like crazy with a lot of lightning.

*RROOAAR*

A massive Sea King suddenly appeared out of the water.

"What should we do, Captain?" asked Brogy from the other ship

"Why are you asking me? Just take care of it already."

He smiled.

"Of course, Captain!"

He jumped off the ship and appeared above the massive Sea King that could easily eat him up. He held his ax above his head with both of his hands, and it turned black. The Sea King opened it's mouth and tried to eat him up, but Brogy swung his ax down and cut off half of its head."

*RROOAAR*

The Sea King fell dead into the sea, and Brogy used Geppo to get back to his ship.

"How was that, Captain? Did you see how awesome I was?"

"I could have done better. I would have cut off his entire head." said Dorry

"Like hell! You couldn't have done better than me!"

They started butting heads. Oimo and Kashii were trying to separate them, but they couldn't do anything.

"Sigh, they can be so annoying sometimes."

I looked at the island, which was getting closer. I could sense other Sea Kings hiding, but they didn't dare to come out after seeing how easily Brogy took care of the other one. One after another, my crew started coming up. Aokiji also came up, but he ignored me and just stared at the island.

"Perona."

"Yes, Captain?"

"Use your hollows to check out the island. There may be people there that will be annoying."

"Leave it to me, Captain!"

She created five hollows and sent them to the island. 10 minutes later, we docked at the small dock of the island.

"Found anything yet?"

"No, there doesn't seem to be anyone suspicious on the island. Expect for a couple of guys guarding a house and a guy in that little house that has been watching us the whole time."

When she said that, the guy in the little house came out. He looked like your typical thug.

"Azure Ken, I've been waiting for you. Please follow me to your person."

"Everyone stay here."

I looked at Aokiji.

"Ben, come with me."

'Luckily, I have no one stupid enough on my crew to say that his name isn't Ben. Poor Straw Hats.'

Aokiji didn't seem to care that I somewhat ordered him to follow me, but he still followed me off the ship.

"Please follow me, sirs."

We started following him.
