New enemies

Shun continued to explore this new area, he could see that in this part of the forest, there were other harmless animals, such as deer, squirrels, and unidentified animals. There was also a great variety of very strange insects.

He decided to change his direction and head east. After walking for quite a while, about 30 minutes, the surroundings changed again. There were no longer giant trees and a meadow came into view.

Shun could notice that not far from him, there were 3 kangaroos about 2 meters each.

They had large muscles on their arms and were light brown. The kangaroos quickly noticed Shun and the duck, as it was a meadow and there was no place to hide, although Shun did not try to hide.

These kangaroos began to provoke Shun from afar, one was even cracking his knuckles while making a mocking face.

"What...?" Shun didn't understand the behavior of these kangaroos, *What kind of animal does this* thought Shun in disbelief.

The duck was intimidated by this and hid in a tree again wrongly.

A few minutes passed and Shun was still looking at them with a poker face. The kangaroos at Shun's inactivity started to get pissed off.

They started shouting indecipherable words at Shun and started running in his direction hostilely.

*Just because I don't react to their provocations they get angry? I guess that's to be expected from an animal* Shun reflected on the behavior of these kangaroos, although he then thought of the duck whose behavior was the complete opposite.

Faced with the imminent arrival of the kangaroos, he put himself in a defensive posture and waited for them to strike the first blow.

The kangaroos didn't take long to arrive in front of Shun, the 3 of them attacked with a punch to different parts of Shun's body and from different positions.

"Air Shield!" shouted Shun.

A circle of air was created around him, deflecting the kangaroos' simultaneous attacks. The shield was large enough to cup the 3 hits without a problem.

Shun wasn't satisfied with just deflecting their attacks, he redirected them to hit the kangaroos.

The kangaroos were surprised by Shun's strange power and received a punch in the face from their companions.

Some broken teeth and blood could be seen coming out of the kangaroos' mouths, they had used great force in the punch, and also the air shield's counterattack in addition to redirecting the blows increases their power a bit.

"Air Fist!" Shun didn't give them time to compose themselves and attacked the kangaroo that was in the middle as this seemed to be the leader of the 3.

Shun's fist impacted full in the face of a kangaroo, breaking its nose and sending it flying.

It could be heard as the kangaroo crashed into the tree and shattered it, knocking it unconscious.

The two remaining kangaroos saw this and became enraged and attacked Shun in a frenzy.

At first, seeing Shun's harmless appearance they took it as a joke, but seeing a fellow kangaroo so injured they went berserk. Each sent a furious punch straight at Shun's head.

This time Shun decided to attack head-on without fear of the kangaroos' punches.

He concentrated compressed air around his two fists and faced the incoming blows of the kangaroos.

"DOUBLE AIR FISTS!" shouted Shun as his two fists collided with a fist from each kangaroo.

The collision created a loud sound and then they both recoiled.

Shun backed up very little and some insignificant bruises could be seen on his fists.

It could be seen that the arms of the kangaroos that collided with Shun's fist were broken and bent strangely.

"Air Impulse!" shouted Shun creating behind him a current of air that propelled him at full speed.

In a second he reached the side of one of the remaining kangaroos and slashed its neck with his air blade that had already formed it into one of his arms.

"Make fun of me now you bastard!" Shun exclaimed in annoyance as he cut through the kangaroo's neck decapitating it.

Shun had been a little annoyed by the kangaroo's smug face, even if he didn't show it. He turned around and aimed at the remaining kangaroo, but this time with a close-range attack.

"Cutting Wind!"

From Shun's hand shot out a blast of compressed air that went straight for the lacking kangaroo's head.

The blast of compressed air easily cut off the kangaroo's head killing it instantly.

These kangaroos weren't that strong, they specialized in speed, but that wasn't much of a problem for Shun since he specializes in that too and is much faster. Plus, with his strange ability, there was no hit he couldn't notice.

These 3 kangaroos were weaker than the bear he encountered recently. The bear was perhaps slower, but it had much more strength and stamina.

Then he began to walk to the unconscious kangaroo to give him the final blow.

Shun noticed that the kangaroo was already conscious, but it was very difficult for it to move, when it saw Shun approaching it made a very strange cry.

Shun had a bad feeling about the dying kangaroo's cry and quickly ended its life.

With a fist, he crushed its head like a watermelon and ended its life.

"Can it be a cry for help?" wondered Shun.

He pondered this a bit but didn't care much since in any situation he could run away.

Shun decided to explore a little more before returning to his shelter, but he felt several presences coming at full speed to his position.

"It was a cry for help..." Shun whispered.

At first, he could see several kangaroos in the distance, then his gaze became serious.

More and more kangaroos started to be seen, he came to count about 40 kangaroos. Moreover, this mini army of kangaroos was led by a kangaroo that was much more muscular and taller than the others.

"That's too many..." Said Shun who turned around without hesitation and started to run away.

It was one thing to take on 3 kangaroos at a time, Shun believed his limit was about 10 or so or 15. 40 or so kangaroos were already too much, it was enough just to have them surround him and jump on him to kill him.

"Quack quack" The giant duck stepped in front of Shun and motioned for him to get on him.

He climbed onto the giant duck's back and they began their escape.
