37 Deal

The office fell into an uncomfortable silence. Nezumi began to write some papers while waiting for his subordinate to return.

Shun looked at Nezumi and decided to ask, "Do you know the Eldorrago pirates?"

Nezumi stopped writing and looked at Shun with a slightly surprised face, "What do you want to know that for?"

"Isn't it obvious?" asked Shun thinking it was clear that they were bounty hunters.

Although Nezumi still didn't believe him that he and Toma had killed Gally and Oyag since he had no proof he would give him the money. Besides, since the heads were those of the cartel, it didn't matter who delivered them.

Toma listened carefully to the conversation. He didn't know much about Shun, the only thing she told him was that she was on an island deserted of human life for two years. There he met Po and defeated many ferocious beasts. But other than that, he knows no more about his past.

"Tsch, the Eldorrago pirates were already seen in the Grand Line a few months ago, you'd better forget about them. You two wouldn't last half a day in that place" Nezumi said as he started writing the papers again.

'The Grand Line again, what specifically do you suppose it is?' thought Shun doubtfully.

The only thing he knew about it, was that Gold D. Roger's treasure was there, so the objective of all pirates was to go there, but he didn't know what it was specifically and most importantly how to get there.

" G-Grand Line...?" said Toma with some fear in his voice.

"What's wrong, do you know that place?" asked Shun looking at Toma's scared face.

"Of course I don't! The Grand Line is known as the graveyard of pirates. It's the most dangerous ocean in the world" replied Toma.

"It's just another part of the sea, Why are you so afraid of it?" asked Shun thinking that Nezumi and Toma were fearful and exaggerated.

"I'm not afraid brat! The most dangerous pirates are there, Gally and Oyag are just cannon fodder. If you don't want to die stay here and live on the money we're going to give you, They've already been very lucky to be able to steal the prey from a bounty hunter" Nezumi said with a frown.

Shun was tired of not believing that he killed Gally and was about to answer Nezumi in a not-so-friendly way, but the door opened.

Catalina walked back into the office with two full bags, "Here are the 6,200,000 million belly, half in each bag. If they want they can count it" she said as she passed the bags to Shun and Toma.

Shun grabbed a bag and could see that inside was a big pile of money. Seeing so much money he felt a thrill go up all over his body, he never had so much money in his hands, plus killing Gally and Oyag was extremely easy for him.

'I could become a bounty hunter' Shun thought as he imagined himself swimming in a pool full of bills and gold.

"Before you go, you owe me 500,000 bellys for the damage to my ship" said Nezumi with a smile.

"What half a million belly!? We only did a small line to it, I don't think it's that expensive" Toma said indignantly as he tightly gripped the bag.

Shun looked at Nezumi and hated him more and more, but without saying anything he started to pull out wads of bills, he counted up to 500,000 belly and roughly put it down on his desk.

"Let's go Toma" Shun said as he left without saying goodbye to the office. Toma gave one last scowling look to Nezumi and followed Shun.

"If you don't need me anymore, I'll go back to do my work, goodbye" said Catalina as she respectfully said goodbye to Nezumi.

As she received no response from Nezumi, who was counting the money greedily, she left the room and quickly followed Shun and Toma.

"Hey, you two! Wait!" Catalina said as she awkwardly ran in her high heels.

"What?" Shun asked, not understanding why this woman wanted to talk to them. Toma also looked confused at Catalina.

"It's better to talk in a more secluded place, there are too many eyes here" Catalina whispered to Shun. They had already reached the main hall of the base, where many marines were coming and going while performing their tasks.

Shun furrowed his brow slightly, not understanding what this woman meant by a more secluded place. Before answering her, he noticed a pile of pirate wanted posters on a desk where a middle-aged marine was doing paperwork.

*Those must be the bounty posters* Shun thought as he approached.

Toma looked at Catalina with a hint of pity, as she had been ignored, and followed Shun.

*This brat, ignoring a woman as beautiful as me* Catalina thought angrily as she looked at Shun. Everyone in this base knew her for her beauty and her ability to do her job perfectly; even Captain Nezumi was attracted to her. And now, this young brat was ignoring her.

Shun picked up all the bounty posters and began to look through them one by one.

After a few seconds I finished looking at all the bounties there, 'No Eldorrago, no Golass' thought Shun with a frown.

"Hey, why is there no Eldorrago pirate poster?" asked Shun to the middle-aged man who, upon closer inspection, could notice big dark circles under his eyes.

"Eldorrago already left for the Grand Line, so it's useless to keep his bounty poster here in the East Blue" replied the man in a grim tone and without looking up from his desk.

'Why does he want to know where that Eldorrago is?' thought Toma doubtfully.

Shun clicked his tongue and turned around heading for the door, but before that, he took all the reward posters with him. If he was going to start a bounty hunting career in the future it was best to meet the bounty pirates over his head.

Catalina came to hear the question Shun asked the marine and a new idea formed in her mind. As she followed them already outside the base, she told him "I have the information you can use about Eldorrago."

Shun stopped and for the first time looked seriously at Catalina, "Really?" he asked.

Catalina seeing Shun's reaction smiled and felt for some reason that she had gained something by getting this boy to pay attention to her.

"Yes, my task is to get information about all the East Blue pirates, and even though Eldorrago already sailed to the Grand Line, I have information from him. But first, you will have to listen to me what I have to offer them" Catalina replied.

"Okay, what do you want to tell us?" asked Shun taking this woman seriously, as finding information on Eldorrago was key.

"It's better to talk somewhere far away, follow me" said Catalina as she walked towards the forest.

When she reached a tree Catalina stopped and bent down, then took off her heels, exposing her white feet, "It is annoying and painful to walk with these heels on the grass" said Catalina complaining while massaging her feet.

Toma looked at her and his cheeks blushed, even though he was only 12 years old he liked women and it was normal to see such a scene to feel a little nervous.

Shun looked at her, but his expression remained the same, poker faced. Although he found Catalina attractive, his only goal in mind was to get information from Eldorrago.

"Talk" Shun said losing his patience.

"How impatient, that's not how you'll get a girlfriend" Catalina said as she stood up.

"For me to give you all the information I have about Eldorrago, you'll have to fulfill my request first. It's a kind of deal. If you fulfill your part, I'll fulfill mine."

"What do you say?" asked Catalina as she looked at Shun intently.

"Fine" Shun replied after thinking for a few seconds. However, if it seemed too extreme or difficult to him, he wouldn't do it anyway.
