24 Kujaku

Sengoku was sitting in his office, he was trying to work but he was getting distracted again and again because of Mark.

Mark was out on the training ground observing the navy soldiers, he was trying to get an idea of how everything worked at the headquarters.

At least that was the plan.

Looking out of the window, Sengoku saw the Marine soldiers shaking in their boots, they were trying their hardest to train while ignoring what was happening before them.

Sengoku angrily rubbed his forehead at that.

"This won't work! Saint Mark might be patient but Kujaku will ruin everything!"

"Didn't Tsuru tell her own granddaughter about Mark?! Why is she acting so casual with him!"

Sengoku was holding his head in frustration, his observation haki was sensing Mark, who was trying his hardest to ignore a girl.

This girl was bothering Mark for about half an hour now.

"Smoker is a bastard too! Why isn't he taking Kujaku away! He is just standing there looking clueless!"

"She might be Tsuru's granddaughter but even she would be executed by now if Mark was a normal celestial dragon!"

Observing Mark's increasingly pissed off face, Sengoku was sure this would turn out ugly.

"You won't believe how lazy these Marines can get~ I swear they should let me whip them into shape..!"

On the training ground a girl with blushing face was talking continuously for half an hour now, Mark who had politely entertained her before was now starting to regret it.

None of his attempts at gently telling her to stop worked.

"Miss-"

"As I was saying, whipping them into shape is something only I can do~"

Mark silently clenched his fist, Kujaku didn't even let him finish his sentence, she talked over him, again.

He was only here to observe the Marine train, not listen to this girl's fascination with whipping people!

"Miss Kujaku-"

"They should get a taste of my beloved whip beethoven, I'll hit them ever so gently~"

Looking at Kujaku as she blabbered away, Mark was sure there was an unhealthy obsession behind her eyes.

Still, giving it one last good natured try, Mark attempted to end the conversation.

"Miss wait-"

"Listen~ My Beethoven is the best steel whip around, I can tame so much stuff using it!"

*Crack*

Kujaku abruptly stopped when Mark gripped his chair hard enough for it to crack.

He turned towards her with thick veins visible on his forehead, his face still had a polite smile, but anyone with eyes could see Mark was pissed.

"Why are you starting at me like that~ Do you want me to come closer?"

But apparently Kujaku didn't quite understand her situation, as she started talking again, completely ignoring Mark once more.

Who had just about enough of this by now.

"I can be your personal trainer if you want~"

"Miss!"

Stopping for a second Kujaku found Mark looking at her eyes, as if peering into her soul, he spoke.

"I am busy right now, miss."

Mark elegantly spoke with his teeth clenched.

"I do not need a personal trainer, nor do I appreciate your fascination with whips!"

Pointing towards the door, Mark gestured her out.

"Leave, I was entertaining you just to be polite, I don't care about your weird tastes!"

Kujaku swore she heard something crack, it could have been her heart, she couldn't tell between all this noise her mind was making.

What happened? Weren't they discussing about whips and how she was a great trainer? She wondered, completely ignoring that Mark never spoke to her, even once.

Smoker who was standing on the side looked at the sad Kujaku, who's brain had short circuited.

He frowned after seeing her like that, Kujaku was his friend, he didn't want to see her sad.

"Hey, no need to be rude, she was just discussing her hobby with you."

"People normally don't listen to her talk about her 'unique hobby', she was simply excited because you were listening to her."

Mark slowly stood up from his seat, with his Goku black clothes on he looked at Smoker with the same pissed off polite looking smile.

"Smoker, there is a limit to my patience alright, I didn't come down to the lower realm to entertain a whip loving maniac."

Smoker too now had veins popping up on his forehead.

Who does this guy think he is?! Insulting one of his friends like that!

"Oh shit! These idiots, none of them care about calls! Garp and Smoker, all of them cut from the same cloth."

"Even Kujaku ignored Tsuru's warning about a celestial dragon visiting the headquarters."

Sengoku's heart almost jumped to his throat, he had told every Marine to be careful of Saint Mark, but neither Smoker nor Garp picked up calls, his own friend's granddaughter also ignored the warnings.

Mark didn't wear his celestial dragon clothes so these guys didn't even realise who they were talking to.

Sengoku couldn't tell Smoker himself, as he had just now come to headquarters for something, while Kujaku simply had to bother the ever polite Mark.

"How do I even stop this, telling Mark that they didn't know who he was won't work, they would get thrown into Imple down!"

"Even Tsuru can't save Kujaku, I told her she needs to stop being so excited about whipping things!"

"Look at her now, she ended up exposing her tastes to a celestial dragon of all people!"

Sengoku's orginal plan was to tell everyone not to mess with Mark, but his own men messed with him so thoroughly.

He only hoped they don't mess up everything again, and it looks like at least one of them was trying to fix things with a joke.

In the field Kujaku was smiling at Mark while teasing him.

"Hey hey, No need to fight with Smoker for my attention, I am all yours~"

Looking back at Smoker she grinned.

"You also don't fight Smoker! I can whip you after this if you want!"

After Kujaku snapped out of her excitement, she realised how much of a bother she was being, so she attempted to fix the mood with jokes.

And it looked like Smoker understood what she was trying to do as well, he sighed and let out a breath.

At least they wouldn't fight anymore thought Kujaku.

But Mark wasn't about to let it end here, sure he was pissed off but that wasn't why he wanted to continue this.

Smoker was actually the reason he had come to Navy HQ, he was the one who Mark wanted to recruit.

This was why he was entertaining Kujaku for so long, he wanted to talk to Smoker through her.

'But this girl didn't let me say anything at all! She kept talking and ruined all my plans.'

Mark clenched his fist, his previous plan was a flop, so now he had a different plan to convince Smoker to go with him.

Just when Smoker and Kujaku were about to walk away, Mark spoke.

"I didn't say you can leave, don't be a coward, finish what you started Smoker."

Looking at Smoker turning towards him with a frown, Mark smiled and gazed at the man.

"What happened? Are going to hide behind Kujaku like a weakling..?"

*Bang*

Smoker's fist immediately hit Mark's chest, at least it was about to, but someone flashed infront of him.

*Bang*

Before smoker could even see the person who kicked him away, his eyes went dark.

Who's who, who had just kicked away Smoker turned and looked coldly at Kujaku, she immediately raised her hands in surrender.

God! Who even was this person?! Kicking away a logia like nothing!
