Exploring the Island

Morning came as I woke up, surprisingly feeling energized than I've ever been.

I have theory at how's this possible, First: because the meat in this world was several times more nutritious than my previous world. Second: I have energy converter ability. Maybe I can turn food into a raw energy that I can store within me.

"Oh well." Shaking my head, I did some streches before heading towards the forest to hunt some game.

Unlike yesterday, I only manage to capture a rabbit, guess the boar yesterday isn't common as I thought. Still I was satisfied as its good despite casually roasting it with no other seasoning.

It have a natural sweet and meaty flavor reminding me of ham but several times tender and juicy.

"Man, I'm in Heaven." I sighed in delight after filling up my stomach.

"Now what?" I question myself.

Now that my hunger crisis was solved, the next problem is to decide what to do next.

Thinking about it, this Island isn't that bad... I mean there's a bunch of monsters in this world, evil pirates, corrupt marines, irrational nobles... Just thinking about it, I couldn't help but to shudder.

"Maybe, I could just live peacefully in this Island..." The idea was tempting but quickly, I shook off my head as the other side of my brain told me that its impossible.

"Also, its not like I could survive alone, human is after all a social animal. Living far away from civilization would make me crazy."

"Now what?" I grumbled, contemplating on what to do in the future, before realizing that I no idea.

"... well, I'll decide it later, but now I have to do something more productive." Nodding my head, Its been a week since I came in this world and ever since then, I've only seen a small part of the island, am not even sure how big it was, but one thing I knew is, It wasn't simple as it seems to be.

Call it institution or what, but ever since eating the fruit yesterday i felt like there were something interesting I'll discover in this Island.

With that in mind, I began treading the forest but not before transforming into my hybrid form and while the form is more energy consuming than my human form it was safer than the latter.

Just like that, 4 days passed with nothing much happen.

The exploration continue without much of hassle, at first I only explore in one direction, but after realising how inefficient it is, I decided to explore in a circular direction, in this way I can cover much wider area.

I also mark the trees ones in a while to avoid myself from losing my way back.

The exploration so far was exciting, seeing various unknown yet very familiar species of animals, trees, insects and plants that were both harmless and harmful at the same time (though nothing dangerous enough to kill me in my hybrid form) made the geek part of me to scream in ecstasy, thinking how unscientific it was.

Unfortunately for me, I don't have the necessary time to study them.

Just like that, my exploration continue and after a week, I managed to explore an area of 200 kilometers radius.

I've also seen the edge of the Island and from how far it was, I estimated that the entire island was big as 400 kilometers radius.

Sadly, It would take me a whole month if I wanted to explore the Island but oh well not that I have anything to do.

1 month later.

"Maybe my institution is wrong..." I grumbled on frustration.

I'm currently in the Eastern part of the Island, 53 kilometers from my first Camp. I've finally explored the entire island, with this part being the last.

The terrain here was a combination of sandy and rocky as there were various spiky shape stones and gigantic boulders around, a truly magnificent art crafted by nature for thausands of years.

"Guess there's really nothing in this island huh?" I sighed and when I was about to turn around and return to my camp, I notice something beneath my feet.

"A Pole?"
