3 Flames Pt. 2
After we had set out a little while later we resurfaced on the other side of the Red line and were officially in the New World.
"Good now that we're out and about, time to start your intensive training, also Deuce take the log pose that's facing south, that is Raijin Island, the perfect place to train someone in the ways of flames, but for now I want you to demonstrate everything I have taught you so far kiddo." I say as I watch closely to see what the old man has taught him so far.
"You got it!" He says before he shows off what he has learned, which includes, fireballs, fire breath, fire tornadoes, fire walls, fire armor, and the list goes on, though there are a few things he hasn't taught him yet, such as advanced fire armor, multiple fire balls and the more advanced versions of the things he currently already knows.
"Good, good, besides a few things, you already have a grasp on the basics, so now I'm going to show you more advanced techniques that you already know but merging them with Haki, as it is the only proper way to use these advance moves if you want a shot at taking those that are at the top of the food chain kiddo." I say as I surround myself in haki and letting the flames course through my body making my skin look akin to lava.
"Now give me your strongest attack kiddo, this is your first lesson in advance Fire/haki use." I say as I take a defensive posture.
He just nods before trying his hardest before covering his fist in haki and slamming it into me, but I don't budge, he actually recoils and rubs his hand as it was actually burning from attacking me.
"This is the much more advanced version of flame armor, if you get to the point that you can completely cover your body like I am now anyone who attacks you will get burned in the process, so from here on out we will be working on your haki and go on to develop and increase it as well." I say as I grab his shoulder with a wicked grin.
This made him slightly nervous but the thought of getting stronger made him less scared and more excited, "Bring it on Old Man! I'll take everything you got!"
"Heh, that's the spirit Kid! With that said, let's get your training on the way!" I say as I start the rather rough and arduous training that I have set for Ace.
You might be wondering why I'm even training him, or why Owen even started training him even, well I liken it to us being kindred spirits, and in all honesty had my childhood not been so fucked up, I think I would have been more like Ace than who I am now, though I don't hate who I am or the things I do, but I feel I'd be more free spirited if my childhood was even remotely similar to his, so that's really the main reason I even want to help him get stronger.
And for several days we kept up the rigorous training program that I have put him through, running him to exhaustion before giving him a slight bit of time to rest and eat before going back to training, all the way until we finally reached Raijin, the island of never ending Lightning.
"Wow….. that's a lot of lightning…." Deuce says whats on everyone's minds as they look towards the island that was being bombarded in lightning.
"And that's where me and him will train at for the next month, Deuce you will take the crew to Karai Bari Island to the southeast of here after we let the Log Poses realign so you can travel there safely."
"Got it, will get close by the island so we can get the Log Poses ready, afterwards will head towards there and stay there for a month, you want us to come back to pick you two up?"
"No will use striker to get there and will use striker to go to Karai Bari, after we meet up, there'll be more training and going to wherever the wind takes us, besides when we do that there's more fun involved right kiddo?" I say as I nudge Ace in the side.
"Yep, it's more fun that way, and after I feel like I'm strong enough will go after one of the strongest in the world and take them down!"
"OOOOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!" The rest of the crew shouts at Aces declaration, and with that as we get close to the island, both me and Ace depart for Raijin while the crew stays close enough to the island to calibrate there log poses.
"Ace, this will be the training grounds to help increase your overall haki strength, as well as increase your endurance as well." I say to him as we reach the shore of Raijin, I could see some of the lightning preparing to strike us so I pulled out my sword, making it look exactly like Owens, and point it upwards to be a lightning attractor and it strikes the blade with a crash but is completely contained in the blade itself.
"So prepare yourself kid, because for the next month will be very painful, but after it you will be much stronger for it." I say as I cover my body in haki before touching the blade and letting it all flow through my body, but due to my durability times me being covered in haki it only tingled, but what Ace saw was me completely covered in electricity coursing throughout my body, it actually looked scary, and in his head painful but because of his views on Fisher is that even though he's old he can take it.
But Ace not wanting to let down the guy he calls both his uncle and teacher down, nods and readies his body to the best of his abilities before a single lightning bolt falls straight down on him, and from the look on his face it hurt immensely but he's a tough kid and didn't let it knock him down, looks like training him won't be for nothing after all.
And so the month long training started, he would train from sunrise to sunset and only get breaks to eat and use the bathroom and at night the sword of mine would be used to keep the lightning from striking us in our sleep, those nights were loud, and for Ace, sleepless before he got used to the sound of loud thunder and could even sleep peacefully on the most chaotic of battlefields now thanks to the training, but he also achieved the main aspect of this training which was to increase his overall endurance, increase his overall haki reserves and to purify his body with lightning to increase his natural abilities in Fire use.
He wasn't at the point like me where he can basically shrug off lightning bolts entirely, but he can endure getting hit with around 5 lightning bolts and not flinch, but after that he starts to take damage if he doesn't use haki to protect his body.
As the training came to a close we took the log pose and went straight for Kairai Bari while riding Striker and a few days later we arrived at our location, where the rest of the crew was waiting for us.
"Captain! Fisher! You guys are back!" Isuka says happily at seeing our return.
Seeing her like that I just grin and nudge him in his sides, "Well kiddo, seems like a certain someone really missed you." Saying that causes Isuka to get a bit embarrassed and blushing a bit before running away to her cabin.
The rest of the crew sees this and all just looks at Ace alongside me and grins at him, then Deuce just comes up and slaps him on his back, "So when you gonna take her out for dinner Captain?"
Ace just pushes him off while hiding his face under his hat, "None of your damn business! Now let's just get out of here and set sail already!" Ace says a bit flustered before going up to where the ship wheel is at, we all just look at each other and laugh out loud at his expense.
"Alright you heard the Captain, let's set sail and go off and see the world!" I say to the rest of the crew to give him a break and have us head out to sea.
And which we did, but it seems Lady Luck wasn't on our side, as after we spent time in Dressrosa to get our Log Pose set up and set out to sea again, in an area roughly between Applenine and the Prodence Kingdom we came across something terrible.
"CAPTAIN!!! A WHITE STORM IS APPROACHING!" Deuce says as a large maelstrom is approaching us, these things are bad news and rare to encounter as if these ever swallow your ship up you are just insanely unlucky as these are known as Crew Killer Storms, if you and your crew survive then congratulations now your further down the Grand line but you have no clue where you are, if your unlucky you'll never be seen again along with your crew.
"ACE! Get everyone below deck to safety! Will try to keep the ship under control as best as possible!" I say as I go and personally deal with the sails.
"GOT IT! Everyone! Get below deck and hang on!" He says to the rest of the crew who all take the steps down below deck and then barricade themselves so they don't get tossed around to much while we're in the storm.
Luckily I'm just able to lower the sails in time as the storm takes us deep within, I then stab my blade into the deck to hold onto the ship, and all I could say to them all was.
"EVERYONE BRACE YOURSELVES!" As the storm swallowed us while and we were taken to parts unknown.

After an unknown amount of time, it's hard to tell in those storms as they can go on for weeks on end, but from what I could tell it took several horrible days before it was finished and at one point to another before it ended it lifted us up really high into the air before ending, but it instantly dumped us into a whirlpool that sent the ship spinning around before wrecking us on the shore of who knows where.
It took us awhile to gather our bearings, "I-is it over?" I could hear Deuce ask as he was having a hard time standing after the whole fiasco we just went through.
"Yeah… it's over, but it seems we crashed into the shore of some place?" I say as I'm slightly confused by my surroundings, that is until I look off in the distance and see an island covered in a huge Skull with horns.
"Hey Captain! You might want to see this." I say as I go over and pick Ace up before showing him the Skull island in the distance.
"Wait…. Isn't that Onigashima? Then where we are is… Wano right? How the hell did that storm get us up here?" Ace says as he realizes where we are.
Though it has been a few hours since it ended as even though we have been trying to reorient ourselves, we have come to realize that the area that holds all our food has been busted open and our food store spread across the shore, at this point we realize that people have been coming over and stealing our food.
"Hey! There stealing our food!" One of the crew members notice people were taking our food.
"Get them away from our food! It's our food!" Ace says extremely pissed, as food is one of the things he loves the most, as he jumps off the ship wreathed in flames absolutely scaring the people making those that have food and those that don't to run away in fear.
"Wait hang on kid…. I think we're in the wastelands of Wano from what I can tell, I've heard the people that live out here have really hard lives, they barely get anything to eat even though the monster is now growing food here in Wano." I say as I stop Ace from chasing after them, and pointing to them as I see the clothes that they were wearing were rather patch-worked type of clothes.
Seeing this and realizing that most of the people fleeing looked a bit starved as well, though not completely starving it seemed.
"Just from the looks of them they only get some real food once every few days since some of them still have some fat on them but are all skinny looking though." Deuce says deducing it all from looking at them.
"Aww man… now I feel kind of bad…." Ace says feeling down about this all and him being all scary like to them.
"Why aren't these people getting the proper amounts of food?" Isuka asks out loud as most info about Wano is hard to come by, and hearing that question they all turned to look at me since I'm the most knowledgeable of the crew.
"Short and sweet of it is that Kaido has a deal with the current Shogun of Wano, Orochi, that for helping him get the Shogunate of Wano for himself roughly 16 years ago Kaido can build weapons factory's and enslave the lower class population of Wano to work in his mines, and work in his weapon factories, any who aren't enslaved are like them, left in abject poverty and can't afford any real food only living off scraps, though a year ago the monster made a deal with Kaido and Orochi to get a part of Wano for himself to rule over so long as he could turn a wasteland into fertile land for real food to grow at, but all the food goes to the capital with the rest left for the farmers of Kibi, but Orochi doesn't let any of the other territories any of the food, but the Monster has helped in other ways but can only offer these people out here food a few times a week, enough to keep them alive, but still hungry nonetheless, so that's why there stealing from us, they just don't get enough food to feel satisfied…" I say as I explain the overall situation of Wano.
When I finish I see the rest of the crew looking rather sad, even a few crying because of the pain those people must be going through.
"Alright! I made up my mind! We're gonna help them out! And if Kibi is as good as you say it is, we got to help them get there, and I'm gonna call this Operation: Kibidango! Get the people here to Kibi so they can live better lives then the ones they live now!" He shouts to the rest of his crew.
"OOOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!" The crew shouts back in excitement.
"And after we're done, we go to Onigashima and kick Kaido's ass!!!"
"ACE ACE ACE ACE!!!!" The crew cheers his name at the thought of fighting the Beast Pirates.
"Alright guys let's get this party started!"
