Calvin VS Benn Beckman

(And since everyone liked the idea of giving the mc the Mera Mera no Mi, I decided I'll be doing that)

"Do you recognize them?" Calvin asked me.

"Kind of, they are dangerous so we shouldn't provoke them" I warned everyone, so they stay on guard.

"Sounds fun!" Calvin said in excitement while cracking his knuckles.

'I got to know Calvin a lot in the past few months, he might not look like it, but this guy is battle maniac' I sighed internally thinking about that, if he only knew who these guys are.

"If Captain Ashen said they are dangerous then we should turn back and leave…" Ken said, ready to turn back and leave.

"Don't get in the way old man!" Calvin ordered ken and turned back to me waiting for my decision.

"Well, it's too late to run now" I saw a few people appear from the trees in front, they looked like pirates. They were obviously from shanks crew, but I couldn't recognize any of them.

"Looks like we have some company…" One of the pirates said.

"We should be able to play with them for a while…" Another pirate said, he had smirk in his face.

"Sounds about time, I was starting to get bored."

"No matter what happen. Don't Kill any of them!!" I gave a clear order to Calvin, he looked confused as this is the first time, I say something like this.

"Whatever you say!" He was disappointed but he understood my decision. We moved a few steps forward and tried talk this out with the other pirates.

"We're not here to fight, we just want to rest in this island for a few days" I told them about the reason we were here, hoping we could reach an understanding.

"HA!! You expect us to trust a pirate word. Don't make us laugh!" It was clear they were not planning to talk.

There was about five of them and they were carrying guns and sword.

'Despite their looks I could feel that they are not some ordinary pirates' was my first impression on them.

"It's too late, prepare yourselves!" One of the pirates as he unsheathed his sword. We also got ready to fight.

After observing each other for a bit, I took the initiative and went after the one in the left. Once I closed the distance between us, I used Soru to confuse him and appeared behind him, then I hardened my fist with Tekkai and punch his back.

He got hit but managed to keep himself in his feet and used his flintlock rifle to shoot me, I dodged with Soru and appeared above him then I used Tobu Shigan to target him from a distance and injured his right shoulder.

When the pirates saw their crew mate was in danger, they all came charging at us. Two went to fight Calving and the other two joined the fight against me.

I kept using Rankyaku to target all of them in one attack and thanks to that I was able to do a lot of damage to them while avoiding their group attacks.

As for Calvin He was constantly using Tekkai to nullify the damage he receives from their attacks and then uses his martial skills and physical strength to beat them. He was almost 30 years old, and he accumulated a lot of fighting experience during his years as a pirate hunter which always has a huge role in fights and can sometimes make up for the difference in strength.

After a while we managed to overpower the enemy and won, we made sure not to kill or seriously injure anyone as to not bring the wrath of the future emperor.

Shanks was sailing with Roger for years he most had at least learned how to use Haki even if in a basic level.

"You were right, these guys are not your average joe" Calvin commented on the strength of the beaten pirate's. There were laying on the ground unconscious with some minor injuries.

"The boss is still yet to appear, hmmm?...where is Ken?" I asked Calvin.

"Probably taking a shit somewhere" he answered.

"C-CAPTAIN!!" Ken shouted to me while he came running from the forest beside us.

"Where did you go?!" I asked him.

"THAT'S NOT WHAT'S IMPORTANT!!!" Once He came up to us, he put his hands on his hips and stopped for second to catch his breath then he said "T-Their coming" and point at the direction he came from.

"Okay good job!" I praised him.

"On what?" Ken was confused.

"Taking a shit without getting killed off course" I said with a serious face.

"Pfft!...HAHAHAHAHA!! That's a good one, HAHAHAHA!!" Calvin was laughing his ass off.

"You guys are taking it too far with these jokes" Ken looked annoyed and kept complaining, me and Calvin have found a new hobby in teasing this old man.

"Well, we only do it because we like you" I told him.

"Yeah whatever-Wait…THAT' NOT WHAT'S IMPORTANT TH-" Ken was interrupted before he finished his sentence.

"Looks like you are enjoying yourselves after beating my crewmates…"A familiar voice spoke to us with a threatening tone of voice.

'SHIT DON'T TELL ME TH-'

"Demon of The Sea Ashen…I heard a lot about you lately" A 188 cm tall man with red hair spoke, he was wearing a straw hat, white top, red trouser and carrying a saber with a green grip.

Standing beside him was a tall man, around 206 cm tall with a light brown hair pulled back in ponytail, he was wearing a black v neck shirt with three quarter sleeves along with loose pants.

'Shanks and Benn Beckman…this is bad' I got on guard.

"Unfortunately, you made a mistake coming here and hurting my cremates…" He stated then looked at me in the eyes for a second then a burst of energy coming from him was targeted at us.

"Conqueror's Haki!!" I was having some troubles staying on my feet, as for Calvin he was fighting on his knees and Ken already passed out on the ground.

"Hooo!!...I'm surprised that someone who hasn't even been to the Grand Line yet knows about Haki" Shanks said to me in surprise.

'I'll just use that if it comes to it' I thought while observing the situation around me, we were surrounded by at least 7 of them.

"I'll handle them, let's see if the 'Demon of The Sea' lives up to his reputation" Benn Beckman said then took out his flintlock rifle, lighted a cigarette and walked to the center.

"I'll be your opponent!...I won't let disrespect the captain like that!" Calvin said as he stepped up in front of him.

"Since it came to this, I won't let anyone interfere for now!" Shanks stated as he sheathed his sword back in and ordered his men to step back and then he sat on a small rock and decided to observe the fight from a distance.

I was also nervously standing in my place, waiting for the two of them to make a move.

"I suppose you are the vice-captain. let's see what you got" Benn Beckman said then he held his rifle the opposite way and charged at Calvin.

Once he closed the distance between them, he aimed his rifle at Calvin's head and swung it side way, Calvin then lifted his left arm and used Tekkai to defend but it wasn't strong enough to nullify all damage and he got hurt.

Beckman didn't give him any time to recover and kept throwing a barrage of attacks at him without a rest and Calvin took a lot of damage because of that, and because he was constantly defending using Tekkai he didn't get the chance to fight back.

'He needs to change his style. He can't keep tanking his attacks and he also needs to stop relying on brute force too much' I thought.

Calvin was standing strong but covered in blood as opposed to Beckman who looked unscathed.

"Your quite strong I'll give you that!" Beckman praised Calvin's strength.

"Humph! Don't get cocky… " Calvin replied while wiped blood from his eyes, then he kicked up some dirt to blind him and ran up to him as fast as he could and tried to punch him in the chin but Beckman managed to avoided it easily and countered with right uppercut and sent him flying up and then falling down to the ground.

Surprisingly Calvin managed to immediately get back up and charged at him at an even faster speed than before and kept throwing kicks at him which created gushes of winds, but Beckman kept throwing him down easily.

But Calvin kept tirelessly going back up and attacking Beckman without any rest while he keeps trying to increase his speed and use his legs instead of his fists to attack.

'Is he trying to do that in the middle of a fight?' I noticed something.

"He got faster?" Shanks was observing the fight in interest.

"You're so persistent!!" Beckman said while swinging down his rifle at Calvin, the latter managed to dodge it and threw a right cross at him, but Beckman easily predicted it and moved his body away.

But this time Calvin tricked him and stopped his punch on the way.

"A fake?" Beckman didn't expect that.

Calvin smiled when he heard him and proceeded to kick the ground with his leg at high speed that the normal person wouldn't even be able to see.

"SORU!!" he disappeared and reappeared beside Beckman and hardened his body with Tekkai and punch him with all his force which created a strong gush of wind that pushed him back and injured his face.

"HOLY SHIT!!! LET'S FUCKING GO!!!" I was so surprised and excited at this moment that I started cheering him like a fan girl.

Beckman looked shaken by that attack and Calvin took the opportunity and kept using Soru to punch him at high speed, but he quickly managed to get back to his pose and stopped Calvin's combo.

"I let my guard down!" Beckman stated.

"What a surprise, I think we underestimated them too much" Shanks said calmly.

"I'll get serious" Beckman then threw his cigar on the ground and stepped on it.

Beckman held his weapon the right way and aimed it at Calvin.

"I'll finish this in one go!" Beckman said confidently.

"Huff…Huff…I said don't get…cocky…Huff" Calving replied.

They kept looking at each other for a moment then they both moved at high speed. Calvin appeared in front of Beckman and attack him but this time he didn't manage to even scratch him.

As Beckman moved away, he aimed his gun at Calvin and shot him three times.

"End of the line!"

"GUNSHOT!...GUNSHOT!...GUNSHOT!"

"NOOOOOOO!!"
