5 Arrival

"Y-You w-COUGH-COUGHT…who are you?" Calvin asked me with a frown while coughing blood.

"Forget it…don't interfere in other people's fight." He said to me while trying to get on his feet.

"You're welcome." I replied to him in a sarcastic way, he gave an angry look.

"CLANG!!!" A loud crashing sound came from the direction that I sent Karl to.

"You brat!!… you just did something unforgivable!!...I WILL SMASH YOUR FUCKING SKULL!!!" Karl shouted at me while he got on his feet and started walking in my direction. He looked pissed.

"S-SHIIT!! THE CAPTAIN IS ANGRY!!" One of the pirates shouted.

"GET AWAY FROM HIM HE IS PROBABLY GOING TO USE THAT!!!!" Another pirate shouted and started running away from his captain.

"Use that?" I questioned him.

"It's too late for you to run away now" Karl said to me with a confident look., he then started shouting and flexing his muscle.

"HHAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Suddenly he started getting bigger and taller, he also started growing hair all over his body and his face changed. After a few seconds later you could see a completely different figure. Instead of a human, there was a three meters tall gorilla with big muscles.

"A Zoan devil fruit?" I was surprised, I didn't think I will a meet a devil fruit user this soon.

"Hahahahaha, this is the power I got recently. With this I will be able to become the strongest pirate in east blue." He looked at me and said, "It's too late for you to beg for mercy."

"What kind of monster is he?" Calvin looked at Karl with a terrified face, he looked pale and was barely able to stand on his feet as he was soaked in his blood.

That's the normal reaction as devil fruits were very rare in blues specially east blue the weakest sea.

Karl let out a loud roar then came charging at me, once he got close to me, he punched me down. I used Tekkai to block him then I and put my index finger on his chest and used Shigan.

"PUFF!!" The attack did not do a lot of damage to him, 'As expected of a zoan user, he became stronger, faster and his skin became harder' I quickly jumped back.

"That kind of pathetic attack won't hurt me." He preceded to kick me on the chest, I used Tekkai again to block it but still got pushed back a little. I charged back at him and used Tekkai to attack him this time.

I did a lot more damage than before, but it still wasn't enough to bring him down.

'Brute strength isn't always the answer' Instead of just hitting him until he falls, I kept dodging and blocking and waited until there was an opening.

"BRAT, STOP RUNNING AROUND AND FIGHT ME!!" Karl started growing impatient while attacking me until he let down his guard.

"You're open." I quickly took the opportunity and jumped on his shoulders then I poked my fingers into his eyes.

"AHHHHHH!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!!" He shouted at me.

'No matter how strong your body is, the eyes will still be vulnerable.' I said in my head.

"SHIGAN!!" The moment I used it, you could see blood spraying everywhere, it was coming from his eyes. He was standing there for second then he fell on his back.

'This guy is strong but dumb.' When I looked at his dead body, I couldn't stop myself and started puking 'I forgot this is the first time I killed someone' I didn't think about it until now that the battle is finished.

"…" There was a moment of silence, then the pirates started dropping their weapons.

"T-The captain is dead."

"We're done for"

The pirates lost their will to fight and surrendered, after that Kevin and the crew members started rounding them up and took away their weapons.

A Half Day later,

After the battle was finished, we cleaned the ship and dropped the pirate's dead bodies to the sea after we took their valuables, we also made sure take their captain's head for the bounty. As for Calvin he got his injuries treated and his life wasn't in danger anymore.

"Thank you for helping out in the battle. The outcome would have been different without you here, I owe you one." Kevin thanked me sincerely.

"We're equal, I would still be stranded on an island if not for you." I said to him 'Though I could have waited for another ship, but I was just being nice to him'.

"Hahahaha!! You're right, since you saved our asses, I won't question you"

"By the way how is Calvin doing?" I asked him.

"He'll be fine his injuries are not that serious anymore, he should wake up after 2 or 3 days." He assured me.

"Come on, let's drink together with rest of the crew"

Three days later,

Today we will finally reach our destination, Belles town. In the past three days we didn't face any obstacles and our travel was going smoothly.

"*footsteps*…*footsteps*" When I heard the footsteps, I turned my head to see to whom it belongs to. Standing there was Calvin, he was wrapped up in bandages.

"Your finally up" I said to him.

"Ah…" He looked like he wanted to say something.

"Is there something you want to say to me?" I asked him.

"Ummm…" He hesitated for a second then replied "Thank you for saving me back then. Even though we are strangers you risked your life to saved." I was surprised that he said that I was sure he'll be mad at me because I interrupted his fight.

"I wouldn't have risked my life to save if I wasn't sure I could win" I told him the truth, as I didn't want him to think I was some kind of saint.

"Even though…THANK YOU!!!" He shouted and bowed down.

'SHIT!! That scared me' I looked at him for a second and said, "Since you're so grateful you could repay me by telling me your story, I heard you used to be a pirate hunter." I said to him, he looked hesitant for a second, but he decided to tell me.

"I suppose it's okay since you saved me" He sat beside me.

"You're right, four years ago before my wife dies, I was working as a pirate hunter. I used to recklessly chase after pirates, even my wife always scolded me about it" He stopped for a second then continued "I built a bad reputation amongst the pirates, and a lot of them started seeking my head for revenge."

Well, that's one of the drawbacks of being a pirate hunter.

"One day when I came back from a hunt, I was surprised that my home village was being raided by pirates. Most of the villagers got slaughtered including my wife, luckily, I was able to save my three years old daughter." He said to me.

You could see the pain in his eyes.

"Apparently a friend of mine that I trusted was in debt and sold my personal information to some pirate group for money…Anyway, after that I moved away with my daughter and retired from pirate hunting."

'So that's why he doesn't seem close to anyone.' I tried to ask him "Where did you move to?"

"Belles town, it's a small and peaceful town. My brother also lives there he is the only one I still trust. He is married and has a son, so I always entrust him with Emma when I go out the sea."

"Emma? Is that you daughter name?" I asked him.

"Yes, she's seven right now." He replied with a smile.

'His backstory seems tragic. Well, this world isn't as bright and colorful as it's portrayed in the anime.' I thought will looking at the horizon.

"Looks like we have finally arrived." I said while looking at the island.
