" Dad, ready or not here I come!"

I shouted out, as I and my father were playing Hide and Seek. Due to the fact we had the whole island to ourselves, we had decided to make use of it and play some games. The island is pretty small compared to other islands in the One Piece world, but it definitely gets the job done since the whole island was covered by a large forest.

The forest definitely made playing games like Hide and Seek much more fun due to the vast amount of hiding places. Also since our house was in the middle of the island, if any pirate who was looking to raid a village came by, they would leave immediately due to the fact it seemed like there was nothing but forest on the entire island.

Additionally, dad had added multiple traps that all can kill. Something I thought was dangerous for a child to be around, so he made me spend 2 months straight learning all the locations of every, single damn trap.

Dad told me the traps were to protect me and mom from people who are looking to harm us. But I think he just made them for the specific purpose to mess with me.

Though one thing that always astounded me was how easily he made those traps, especially because he was missing an arm. Speaking of my parent's arms or lack thereof, they still really haven't told me how they ended up losing them, but I guess I'm not really that surprised as no sane person would tell their 4-yeard-old child about how they lost their arms.

I didn't ask them about either since I was just happy having parents for the first time in my life. Although mom told me dad was a big shot pirate before he retired which is kind of a big deal, especially in this era. So he might have lost his arm in a fight or something.

I say this because being a pirate isn't really that popular, so only the strongest can survive in this era unlike the Golden Age of pirates. That's mainly due to the fact that there isn't really a goal to chase after.

In the Golden Age of Pirates, Gol. D. Roger gave everybody an incentive to become a pirate, which was to find the One Piece. However, something like that didn't exist right now, in this era piracy is tyranny.

Currently, it's the year 1471. Which has made me really glad about the fact that I've read the manga. If I remember it correctly then Luffy would set sail in like 1522. I think.

I was just waiting for my system at this point since mom wouldn't let dad train me until I'm 12. I didn't mind since I get to spend more time with them. Which to me is worth more than anything

[10 Minutes Later]

" Dad, where are you!"

I shouted since I couldn't find him anywhere, and I had been looking for a good while. My dad had left absolutely no trace of where he could be. Which in turn left me with no leads on where to look. So for the past 10 minutes, I've pretty much just been running around the Island like a headless chicken.

" Hahahaha... you have to find me, son. I'm not gonna make it so easy for you to win. But don't worry this time I left some clues behind."

I heard dad say from somewhere on the island. I don't how he could yell that loud but there's probably a trick to it.

As I looked deeper inside the forest, I noticed a pinkish bubble, that was on one of the branches of a tree. As I touched the bubble it turned into a note stating

" Look for the place you, me, and your mom are always together."

' Huh, this must be dad's devil fruit although I wonder it is. Well for one I doubt it will be a zoan type, at least not the normal ones, maybe a logia or perhaps even paramecia.' I thought as I continued walking around. I kept finding more notes that were hidden for five more minutes. Until everything connected making me realize where he was hiding. And once I did realize where he was, I definitely felt like I was an idiot.

' The place where the whole family is always together. Well, that's the kitchen since we always eat together no matter what. And considering that, it's nearing lunchtime as well. God, I hope I'm right about this.'

I thought while I ran back home using the second route which doesn't have any traps. After about 5 minutes, I reached our humble abode. The house wasn't too big but perfect for us, considering the fact that we only have 3 members. It's made from wood and stone built by dad and mom themselves. Mom told me that the house was made bigger after I was born.

" Mom is dad home?" I yelled out after I entered the house.

" Come to the kitchen," Mom yelled back laughing making me realize my guess was right.

" Hahahahaha"

" What took you so long?"

Dad spoke to me whilst laughing, right after I had walked into the kitchen. That action pissed me off and made him laugh even harder.

" Hmm, you cheated. Both of us agreed on not using the house as a hiding place." I said back to him in an irritated voice.

" Well life isn't fair you should think outside the box like I always told you," Dad replied to what I said, whilst still laughing. Before I could counter him, mom interrupted our conservation.

" Dear, that's enough. Don't make Achilles even more irritated than he already is." Mom said to Dad, clearly taking my side. I sent a smirk towards dad when mom wasn't looking which made him pout.

" By the way, dad was that bubble thing was that your devil fruit?" I asked him as mom was cooking.

" That was pretty cool right?"

" But to answer your question, yeah it's my devil fruit"

" You see I ate a paramecia class devil fruit called the Dream-Dream Fruit. Making me a dream human" Dad answered my initial question, as I then started bombarding him with many more relating to how it works.

" Hahaha, why don't I show you how it functions," Dad said to me as everything around us suddenly got consumed by a purple bubble, bringing us into a pinkish world where there was a giant teddy bear floating around and other random things as well. There was even a giant portrait of me and mom in that world as well.

" Before I reached full mastery of my devil fruit, I had to touch people to trap them in a dream. That fruit had lots of restrictions as well but through training, I was able to achieve this."

" Now I can trap anyone in this just by looking at them. In this world, I'm god"

Dad said to me as stars appeared in my eyes. Mom looked bored as if she saw this over a thousand times, which to be honest she probably did. The number of things you could do with this fruit was limitless.

Dad started by creating clones of me and mom. I asked him if he can make the clones have devil fruit powers to which he said no. He also can't create any kind of water either in what he calls his dream world. And that max people he can bring into the world is 5 otherwise it breaks apart.

He can't control or give clones of people devil fruit powers. But anything else is game. So if the person's dad makes a clone of ate a devil fruit, the clone will have the same powers as well. Which he demonstrated by creating a clone of some random dude and making him transform into a boar. Although dad stated that the clone's power was only around 30% of the original.

I asked him if he can create more clones but sadly his limit is only 2. He then created fire, lightning, ice, and a bunch of other things as well. He didn't make them too big as they use up his stamina quite fast. He even regrew his and mom's arms, although once we returned to the normal world, those arms will disappear.

" Alright, that's enough showing off for today. God knows what happened to all the food." Mom said to both of us ruining our fun.

All of a sudden the dream world disappeared and we returned back to the kitchen. Dad and I sat down on chairs waiting for mom to finish cooking everything.

Six Minutes Later

As we were eating Dad brought a topic about my training.

" Honey, I know we already discussed this but can I please train Achilles earlier than planned," Dad asked mom hoping she will say yes. I joined in on the conversation side agreeing with dad. I asked mom if dad can start training when I'm eight which is when I get the system.

" Fine since I'm sure you two will go behind my back anyways."

I've really been enjoying writing this story so far. In comparison to the other stories, I felt like I was forcing myself so this has truly been a blast, and I hope you guys have enjoyed reading this as much as I have enjoyed writing it.
