One Piece - My name is Bonez, Daz Bonez

This story will follow the OC written by me of Daz Bonez, who's had a rather different start in life. This story is my rework of the previous one, which I've been unhappy with for quite some time now. So here we go, a rather different one this time. Hope you enjoy it. None of the characters are mine, except those I created myself. Should their original creator demand I take them down then I will do so. English ain't my native language, so you'll occasionally find a few mistakes, but I'll try to keep that on the down low. May contain content of a darker nature. You have been warned.

Kuma

Bartolomeo Kuma really was a big dude, and Daz had met many dudes in his life so far, but none came as close as him so far when it came to height.

Admittedly, Daz knew there were guys even bigger out there, like Whitebeard, but he had never met the man and only had heard about the guy's size through hear say.

A factor that scared quite a few people when they were confronted by a person of such physical size but to someone like Daz physical size was only an annoyance, as he always had to strain his neck when he wanted to look his opponent in the face.

Although, there also was the fact that a person of such size usually presented quite a lot of room in which you could land your attacks, so it wasn't all bad. Very small but still strong people were a lot more annoying in his opinion. But he may be a little biased on that, considering he had had a sparring partner of rather short size for years on end, who was extremely slippery and may have poured even more salt into an already festering wound after one of his missions had nearly gone to shit after missing one midget who had slipped past him and sabotaged the whole operation by doing so. So ye, biased.

"I will not repeat myself a second time, so step aside." Kuma repeated, causing Daz to roll his eyes slightly, as the big guy seemed to either be a little slow on the uptake or just didn't want to really get down and dirty with Daz.

"Look pal, I'm not going to move, no matter how often you keep on asking me. How about we just get this show on the road instead, hm?" He replied, cracking his neck from the left to the right a little all the while. Excitement began to bubble in his stomach slowly but surely, as his senses began to tingle quite a bit with the atmosphere around the two of them thickening considerably.

"I see. That is unfortunate." Kuma answered in turn, while getting into a stance that reminded Daz eerily of a sumo ringer's way of fighting. Was he a wrestler perhaps? But that wouldn't make much sense considering what Kuma's devil fruit was. So why did he take that unique stance? Curious…

"Is there a place you'd like to visit?" Kuma suddenly asked, with both of his hands raised above his head, as if he was to smash them down upon the earth, while Daz still stood quite a few feet away from his opponent, not the least bit unsettled by the question but rather curious what he meant.

"Not really, no. Although, there is this nice little tavern in the north blue called 'the purring kitten' were I once had the pleasure of getting to know that one feisty red head Roxanne. That was one hell of a night, I tell you that, hah! Maybe I should pay her a visit again from time to time? Wonder what she's up to these days…" Daz responded with a reminiscent smile spread over his features, completely ignoring the atomic blushes his words had caused to appear on a few faces within the strawhat's crew, especially upon a certain red-head's face, who nearly fainted from both mortification and a vicious spike in her temper. However, her black haired, chuckling friend held her back from lashing out, possibly preventing a worsening of the already bad situation, which wasn't without positives, as she could quite literally enjoy her friend's mortification for a longer period of time than usual.

"What?" Kuma instead inquired, seemingly not embarrassed but a little confused by his reminiscing opponent, who apparently didn't really give a shit about the whole situation, even though the tension in the air was quite palpable to them both.

"What?" Daz responded, returning from his short trip back on memory lane, after which he cracked his neck once more to possibly get back into the spirit of things.

"Never mind. I shall simply have to pick a place for you to go to, if you have none you would like to visit." And with that last statement Kuma, who had been crouching in his weird sumo stance with his hands raised above his head, suddenly threw his hands backwards, as if he was hitting somebody behind him, and all of a sudden disappeared from where he had just stood with a crack of displaced air echoing over the destroyed plaza of the ship.

Only a fraction of a second later the huge frame of Bartolomeo Kuma suddenly appeared behind Daz and just as quickly as he had propelled himself forwards lashed out in a downwards palm thrust, intend on nailing Daz right into the ground through sheer force and pressure of the air pushed with his paws.

But Daz had none of that and equally as quickly disappeared in a silent soru like a fleeting shadow, only to reappear right above Kuma's hand, which had by this point smashed straight through the floor, throwing splinters of stone in every direction from the force employed.

With a quick movement Daz responded, unwilling to concede the momentum to his opponent, turning his leg into a dangerously glinting blade of blackened steel, which gleamed faintly under the dimmed sun hidden behind the thick veil of mist hiding the Thriller Bark.

And Kuma, who had only just finished his attack and was still in the process of transitioning into a defensive stance, could neither dodge nor block the fast cut Daz had thrown his way, and thusly took it straight to his shoulder.

With a screech of metal upon metal Daz's leg cut straight through Kuma's shoulder causing the large man to stumble backwards from the force of the attack, leaving his cut open shoulder visible for all eyes to see.

"What the hell…?" Was asked thusly as a consequence, as quite a few people still standing on the plaza could not believe what they were seeing upon the large man's shoulder.

Wired and welded together with pieces of steel the shoulder that was revealed looked nothing like a normal humanoid shoulder but rather like something straight out of manufacturing facility for robots.

"Now, isn't that interesting…" Daz spoke into the silence that lasted, while Kuma grunted in discomfort, before his face went completely blank and his eyes began to glow in an ominous red light, beeping all the while with a faint sound that resembled a siren.

Next Kuma opened his mouth and began to charge an attack that Daz had only seen used by one man before, namely Admiral Kizaru, meaning that Daz was acutely aware of the lethality those beams possessed. Acting quickly, Daz trasitioned into another soru and blurred forwards in the high-speed movement technique, reappeared right next to Kuma and snapped the man's head to one side with another kick, which changed the direction into which the blast was fired, hence saving the strawhats from its destructive power.

But Daz wasn't finished, as he had no intention on letting up his attack after his enemy still stood strong on his feet.

With the twist of his hips Daz generated some more speed and used the speed of his twirl to lay another cut upon Kuma's partially metallic frame, this time with his other leg, finally toppling the huge man over with a bloody gash appearing on his neck where Daz's leg had cut.

Following his groaning opponent to the ground, Daz shifted from his kick into a geppo and pushed of with both of his legs, after which he practically speared right into the downed Kuma with both of his transformed arms, that gleamed brutally in the twinkle of Daz's cold grey eyes, reflecting the bloodthirst the man felt echoing deeply inside of himself.

Then there was blood. Not as much as Daz would have expected but considering Kuma was a cyborg that was not something completely hamstrung.

"Ugh…" Kuma groaned, after Daz had harshly pulled his arms back out of the large man's chest, disappointed that the fight had been so short and uneventful, but still happy that he had been able to calm his craving for violence in the process.

"So, before you kick the bucket, would you mind telling me why a revolutionary would provide his body for experimentation and the creation of humanoid weapons, if they serve the enemy of all things? I just never understood that part of the whole transaction." Daz asked while sitting down on Kuma's softly rising chest, his black and white jacket getting further and further soaked in his own blood, the light in the large man's eyes dimming with every passing second. Taking rattling breath Kuma made to respond, but the answer never came, as Kuma simply faded away.

Thus, the shichibukai Bartolomeo Kuma was no more and the world would feel the change right to its very core.

Not happy how the chapter turned out but it fulfilled its purpose so it isn't all bad.

I could have waited with uploading it and working some more on it but I just didn't want to go over it again, after having done that before already.

Still hope you enjoyed it somewhat. Cheers!
