5 Invited

Lunch came around the university, and Roulan couldn't help but feel happy.

Not that she's a big foodie, but she can finally have peace inside the library.

Or so she thought.

"Roulan!"

The mentioned girl groaned loudly and hissed before looking at her back and seeing Lanfen.

Cao Lanfen is what Roulan called another friendly student who likes to befriend anyone.

She is one of the most intelligent students in school and is very well respected.

Though not everyone really likes her.

Some find her cringy, annoying, and pathetic because she only wants attention because she is so friendly.

But that doesn't stop her.

Roulan doesn't even understand why some people dislike Lanfen.

Lanfen is a kind and very generous person to be friends with.

Roulan might not like the constant calls of Lanfen and Yu, but she certainly is thankful to have them as her friends.

They have been very helpful during her stay in this town.

Lanfen walks towards Roulan's place and clings her arms on the taller.

"What do you say about a party?"

Roulan knew this was what Lanfen would ask.

It's not surprising for her, to be honest.

Lanfen is a big party person. She likes interacting with people, talking, having fun, and doing a lot more than an introverted person would love to do.

Huh, can't even relate.

"Lanfen, I don't like parties."

"Oh, come on, this will be my last time asking you to come!"

"You've been telling me that."

Lanfen has been telling Roulan that phrase, and it has grown on the taller girl.

It's not that she doesn't want to come with her, but she didn't like the interaction that might happen between her and someone.

Roulan doesn't even remember how much she agreed on coming with Lanfen to parties.

But she can say that at those parties, she didn't have any problems with anyone, as no one approached her.

"I promise, this will be the last time."

"Uh-huh, keep talking."

Lanfen groans and stomps her feet at Roulan's answer.

They finally reach the library, where it's going to be quiet, which makes Lanfen's mood go down drastically.

Roulan's teasing her again!

But she won't back down until Roulan says yes to going to the party with her.

"Roulan."

"We're in the library."

Roulan removes Lanfen's arms from around hers and walks to the farthest section to get the book that she's been reading.

"I won't back down still."

Lanfen whispered as she followed Roulan around.

"Hmm, keep talking."

Lanfen groans before she messes up her hair and waits for Roulan to sit down at one of the tables.

Roulan finally finds the book, and she walks to the table she always uses.

"You should really come, it'll be fun."

"I don't like parties."

"Come on, there won't be any problem. Just like the last ones."

"I hate to interact with people."

Roulan looks at Lanfen.

"No interactions."

Lanfen said as she looked at Roulan in desperation.

"Still no."

"Ugh! Why can't you agree with me!?"

"Shhh!"

Lanfen and Roulan looked at the librarian, who gave them a stern look.

The two stand up and smile nervously before bowing down to ask for forgiveness.

"Roulan, it'll be fun, trust me."

"Nope."

"No alcohol is involved."

"I don't believe you."

Roulan flips the page of the book she's reading.

She keeps waiting for Lanfen to say something, but the girl seems to give up on persuading her.

Which she is thankful for.

Or so she thought.

Roulan widens her eyes upon hearing the familiar shouting and embarrassing moments of her.

She looks at the girl and sees her with a smirk.

"You're coming, or I'll release this?"

In front of Roulan is Lanfen's phone, playing a video where she kept on shouting and spitting about embarrassing moments she experienced.

That happened when she was drunk, and that happened last time when she went to a party with Lanfen and Yu.

At that time, Yu and Lanfen force Roulan to drink and release her stress, which she did in the video.

At that time, she was so stressed with her work and school that she spits out angry insults to her boss and professors.

"Mr. Li is such a jerk! He didn't give me the remaining time to finish my project!"

"Ms. Smith thinks she's so smart when, in fact, she's even wrong at her grammar at times!"

"Oh yeah, tell me about my so-called hardworking boss."

"Stop it."

Roulan tries to grab the phone from Lanfen, but the girl is quick enough to put it above her head.

"Shhhh!"

The people in the library said and glared at the two.

After apologizing again, Lanfen puts her phone away to not get snatched and get the video deleted.

"I won't let you delete it again."

Another way Lanfen makes Roulan come with her is by blackmailing.

If she won't be able to ask Roulan nicely to come with her, then she'll release the dirty stuff.

Lanfen and Yu have had a lot of embarrassing moments with Roulan.

They have caught her a lot of times, and they will videotape it to blackmail Roulan in the future.

Of course, it works at times, but be careful because Roulan will snatch the phone and delete the content.

It's all fun and games, but Roulan is always pissed off when they use those moments.

Lanfen is not that successful when blackmailing Roulan at times because the latter would always get the phone from Lanfen's hands and delete the video.

The girl in question could only groan and pull her hair, as she didn't have a choice but to agree.

She wouldn't be able to complain, yell, or even snatch the phone from Lanfen as they were in the library.

She didn't want to get banned from the library for a week like the last time.

Lanfen can finally see her victory as she sees how much Roulan wants to say no to her, but she wouldn't be able to do it as they are in the library.

Her smile widens upon seeing Roulan sighing and closing her eyes, a sign that the girl has finally made her decision.

"Fine, I'll come with you."

Lanfen couldn't control her emotion, and she squealed so loudly before running towards Roulan's side and hugging the latter.

"Shhhh! That's the last warning."

The librarian said, but Lanfen couldn't care less.

Roulan looks at the librarian and nods her head, scared that the old woman might kick them out and ban her again for a week.

"Can you keep it down?"

Roulan whispered, which earned a nod from Lanfen.

"I knew you couldn't say no to me."

"You were blackmailing me!"

-

"Great! I got kicked out of the library again!"

Roulan loudly yelled as she huffed in annoyance and walked towards the cafeteria to meet Yu.

"Not my fault; you yelled."

Lanfen said, putting her arms behind her head as she follows Roulan behind.

"I know! I just told you the truth!"

"So, is she coming?"

Yu asks as soon as the two finally reach her table.

She looks at Lanfen, waiting for the girl to answer.

"It's very noticeable."

Lanfen said and pointing at Roulan's pissed expression.

Yu's mouth forms a circle and she nods her head, sitting down in the chair and inviting the two.

"I can't believe you two let me get banned from the library again."

"It's only for a week."

"A week!? That's how long I will get bored with the food here and see your faces!"

Yep, Roulan is pissed at the two.

Roulan wouldn't be able to study for the upcoming test in her subject because she's been banned from going to the library for a while.

She wouldn't be able to store knowledge in her brain like she always does.

"Come on. We'll help you study."

"Just because the two of you are so smart doesn't mean I should slack off and be at every party you two attended."

Roulan is not as clever as her two friends.

If the two get serious about their studies, Roulan won't be able to keep up with them as she's a bit of a slow learner.

She couldn't seem to get things that fast; the reason why she was always at the library.

Either studying the past lesson or advancing in her studies.

"Hey, relax, ok?"

"Yeah, loosen up a bit."

Lanfen agreed with Yu's statement.

Roulan sighs before she puts her head on the table and closes her eyes.
