CHAPTER 35 Disappointment

　　Carolina's face paled in an instant, her eyes were full of resentment as she looked at Ruslan.

　　The time ticked by and Carolina's face continued to turn paler and paler even her lips were losing colour. But she still refused to speak.

　　Liora and Axel exchanged a glance, they had both noticed that there was something wrong with Carolina. They were worried about her unborn child, but they knew they couldn't plead with Ruslan. Instead, they turned their gaze to Darian, who had sat there with a blank yet serious face and hadn't said a word the whole time.

　　After sitting there for a while, Darian stood up putting all of his weight onto his crutch and walked towards the door. Just before he stepped out into the night he spoke in a heavy tone, "She is still carrying a child. Don't be too harsh on her."

　　With that, he walked out. Lucie understood that Darian was talking to her, so she tugged on Ruslan's arm and spoke, "Let's go."
