　　Hawthorne assessed the situation and, realizing that Ruslan had made up his mind, could only leave with disappointment written on his face.

　　As Ruslan stepped onto the stairs, he saw Lucie rubbing her eyes and walking out of the study. His gaze instantly darkened.

　　Seeing Ruslan standing at the staircase, she walked over and asked, "When did you come to the living room?"

　　Ruslan smiled lightly and replied, "I Just came downstairs to get something."

　　Lucie didn't suspect anything and walked to the staircase. She saw the maid tidying up the tea cups on the coffee table in the living room. She looked at Ruslan and asked, "Do we have guests at home?"

　　The smile in Ruslan's eyes became more apparent when he heard Lucie mention the word "home." So, he seemed willing to respond to Lucie's question, saying, "Yes, we did, but they have already left so don't worry about it."
