29 Saitama vs Superman: Rematch

"What happened to Harley?" Dabi asked as he winced while pulling the batarang out of his shoulder, before standing up.

"Honestly? I have no idea, the Batman just said that he was going to try and take me to a dimension that was devoid of life or something," the bald clown replied with a shrug as he put his hands to his hips while staring out at his heavily-damaged island. "Whew, do you reckon all these craters are going to affect the resale value? HAHA!"

Suddenly, an explosion rocked Dominica as something extremely fast smashed into the island's surface, causing a shockwave that made the many palm trees blow ferociously. Smirking, Saitama turned around to find a certain red-caped hero stooped down over the bodies of his fallen teammates, where he briefly cradled Wonder Woman in his arms before turning to face the bald villain, his eyes glowing a bright red.

"You…you killed them all," Superman hissed as he began to hover above the ground, before slowly floating towards the two men. "This island has become the burial ground for hundreds of thousands of innocent people."

"Superman! Yay, you're back!" Saitama exclaimed as he clapped his bare, before turning to his accomplice. "You might wanna sit this one out, Dabi, this guy is in a league of his own I'm telling yah."

My friends…the Human race, the people who took me in and became my family," the man of steel growled as he grinded his teeth, his fists clenched. "I don't know what part of hell you crawled out of, but I'm going to send you back to it today!!"

Blinking, Dabi's mind was unable to process Superman appearing before Saitama in a flash, where he delivered a massive punch to the bottom of the caped baldy's chin. An enormous shockwave knocked the flame villain off his feet, where trees across the island were blasted back by the force as Saitama was shot into the sky like a rocket by the attack with enough velocity to put him well beyond Earth's orbit.

His shiny, bald head turning slightly red as it punctured through the atmosphere, the grey-suited man whistled as he looked below him to already see the blue planet shrinking away as Superman's one punch had flung him into outer space. The hero wasn't far behind, and the Kyrptonian quickly caught up to his opponent and grabbed him by his neck, where he blasted them both deeper into the vacuum as the Earth and moon began to grow more and more distant.

"The sun of this solar system helps give me my strength," Superman explained as he put a vice grip that was worth trillions of tons around Saitama's neck. "Ever since our last battle, I've been sitting in the star's core, allowing myself to heighten my power to new heights. I knew the day would come where I'd have to give it my all to destroy you, and that's exactly what I intend to do now!"

"…okay," the bald clown replied with a deadpan grin, before covering his mouth to ensure that the last bit of air in his lungs didn't escape.

Superman continued shooting through space, traveling at a percentage of the speed of light as he crossed Venus' orbit, until eventually, they arrived at the solar system's innermost planet, the iron-cored Mercury. Without slowing down, the man of steel yelled as he held his arms out and smashed Saitama's body into the planet's surface at full speed, causing a gargantuan explosion of rock and molten material from the world's core as the two punctured a massive hole in it.

Pushing the caped baldy though trillion and trillions of tons of rock and lava, Superman kept drilling though the planet until they both emerged from the other side, where the Kryptonian continued on as he left a heavily-damaged Mercury in his wake, the small, rocky world beginning to break in half from the force of the superhero ramming through it.

"My arm!!" Saitama yelled in exaggerated pain, where he held up his wrist. "Y-you broke my arm! You- oh wait, hold on, you just dislocated it. Ahh see, there we go, never felt better!"

Giving his arm a little tug, the villain popped his arm back into place, where he rotated the limb with zero difficulty.

"I-I just pushed you through a planet, and all it did was give you a small dislocation?!" Superman stammered as he continued careening off into space past the sun, still holding his foe by the throat.

"Awe don't flatter yourself, I think the time that I fell out of a tree when I was 6 hurt more than this!" Saitama laughed as he mocked the hero. "Nice seeing you at full power though, what else ya got?"

"Forget it!!" the Kryptonian roared as he increased his speed even more, where the sun began to grow distant behind them. "You're almost out of air, and I've seen that you have no means of flying yourself. I'll just throw you into interstellar space and let you float around until you die!"

Saitama remained silent as he'd expended the air in his lungs, where he simply stared back at his opponent with a blank smile. Rearing his arm back while they passed the orbit of Pluto, Superman roared as he threw the bald villain in his hands as hard as possible, sending the grey-suited man careening far off into the distance and into the infinite, black, starry abyss laid out before him.

Sighing as he slowed to a stop, the man of steel wondered if he'd truly defeated the menace that had been disrupting his adoptive planet for the last few weeks. He guessed that the velocity that he'd sent Saitama on would still put him nowhere near another star for tens of thousands of years, and that was assuming that the caped baldy was capable of surviving more than a few days alone in space.

It only took Superman a few minutes to return to Earth, where his body was still supercharged with his many hours soaking in the sun at its core. Jumping through the atmosphere and landing back on Dominica, the man of steel reached for the earpiece in his ear to make contact with the rest of the Justice League.

"Hey…Clark here. Mission accomplished, but there were…some heavy casualties," the valiant hero remarked as he surveyed the heavily-damaged island. "Dammit, I should have just led the assault myself, that could saved a lot of lives."

"He's not dead," Dabi commented causally from nearby.

"He's drifting off into interstellar space, so he may as well be," Superman replied as he floated over to the flame villain. "And you, young man, are going to jail for a very long time, as it seems you were an accomplice."

"He still has that transport cube thing," Dabi continued as he pointed upwards with his finger. "You didn't forget, did you? I assume you destroyed it if you're so confident in your victory."

Superman's face briefly fell as he realized that he didn't know for sure if Saitama's mother box had been destroyed, and worse yet, he had indeed forgotten that the caped baldy even possessed one. He'd been so focused on ending the fight as quickly as possible that he hadn't taken it into account.

Like clockwork, a boom tube promptly opened up in midair, where Saitama dropped out of it with the device in hand.

"I'm back, and I made a pit stop!" the fallen hero exclaimed as he leapt towards Superman with his green-dusted fist clenched. "Serious Series: A kryptonite punch!!"

"Did you say-?" the man of steel asked as his eyes widened in terror, only for his entire body to explode as it he was hit by the attack that was imbued with his one weakness.

"HAHAHA you wouldn't believe how many skulls I had to crack to find out what I needed to kill him!" Saitama laughed as he flew through the shredded, bloody pieces of the Kryptonian. "Whew, that's what you get for leaving me in space, Supermangled!"

His burnt lips grinning wildly, Dabi couldn't help but chuckle as yet another all-powerful hero was toppled before his very eyes. With Superman destroyed, mankind's greatest hope had been extinguished, where the public wouldn't find out until hours later that decisive victory had been achieved for the invader from another dimension.
