16 Honest

When Y/N woke up, she immediately felt a sharp sting on her back. She looked around and found Eunhyuk sitting quietly on a chair near her. Hissing in pain, she slowly tried to get up which caught his attention. He quickly got up and came towards her, supporting her to sit up by holding her waist.

"Ah, thanks" she said and looked at him. He still wasn't saying anything. His eyes were fixed on her face, trying to see if she felt any kind of discomfort. "I'm fine," she said.

"Are you stupid?" he asked, eyebrows furrowed.

"Well...Mr. Dusik was in trouble. I thought I could get away fast but.." she sighed, "....why? Am I a burden now?"

"Couldn't you see me and Sangwook move to get him out of there?!"

"I honestly didn't," she said, "sorry." She observed his face and noticed his eyes slightly swollen, the hinges of his glass were broken. Slowly moving her hand to him, she touched his face and rubbed the skin under his eyes. He closed his eyes and leaned to her touch. Slowly closing towards his face, she was about to kiss him but he moved his head away.

"I already told you that I don't want this," he said looking to his right, ignoring her eyes again. By now he had a pretty good idea how the girl made him feel vulnerable and the emotions that he trained to be hidden felt naked in front of her. He didn't like this feeling. Eunhyuk felt a strong urge to get away from her, he wanted to put his walls up. But...he just couldn't.

How could he just leave a girl this stupid...right?

"I guess I can understand why you don't want this," she chuckled removing her hand and fiddling her fingers, "I'm way too stupid and you don't want another guilt on your shoulders."

He shot his head up at her and stuttered trying to come up with a proper excuse. Y/N felt her heart getting heavy as she really wanted some kind of affection after what happened but...she needed to see his side too. Changing the topic she asked, "How's Hyunsu?"

Eunhyuk tightened his fists and cleared his throat, "He's not locked up if that's what you're asking."

"Oh," a sigh of relief escaped from her lips, "he should be able to feel a bit better now."

"I don't get it."

"What?"

"You say..." he stopped for a moment but finally said it, unable to keep it to himself, "You say you love me but why do you keep asking about him all the time?"

"...You can't be serious," she said.

"You think I'm not? For whatever reason, he's still a half monster. I don't care what kind of relation you want to have with him but the least you can do is leave me alone," he said and got up.

"I don't get it either," she said, voice quivering and trying to keep a straight face, "You say you don't want a relationship but then you go ahead and say these things as if you care about what I do with someone."

Eunhyuk looked at her for a moment and gulped, before rushing out of the room and slamming the door behind him.

Y/N let her tears spill from her eyes and looked down at her fingers. She felt so lonely, the silence in the room felt...deafening. Thankfully it was for a short while as the door soon opened. She hoped to see the guy with glasses again but it wasn't him.

"Jisu.." she said sniffling, "You don't...look good."

That was true. Her face looked worse than before. She didn't know what was going on with her friend but she didn't look like she was getting any better. "I'm just tired," Jisu said, keeping a bowl of soup, bread and water on the bedside table.

"Ugh can't I get some noodles or something?" Y/N scrunched her nose looking at her lunch.

"Just bear with it until you get better," Jisu said, "Honestly, you're lucky that the wound isn't deep enough to get you stitches."

"Oh yeah definitely," Y/N chuckled and rubbed her nose on her sleeves. Sleeves?

Jisu laughed, "You cleaned your nose on his shirt."

"His? I-I mean you guys could've gotten me my own clothes," she said.

"None of your shirt is as loose as this one. You can't wear your clothes if you want to recover."

Y/N smiled and looked down at the shirt, it did have some of Eunhyuk's aroma in it. "You guys really like each other huh," Jisu sighed, "Good for you."

Blushing she looked up at her and stuttered, "N-No, it's just me. He's not into me really."

"Yeah I don't think so."

"Well you're wrong."

"I'm not, trust me. He was the one who patched you up. I mean, some of the women did question his intentions at first but I managed to convince them. He didn't leave your side Y/N."

"It's because he blames himself for whatever happened to me. He's like that only."

"Okay, I get it. You just won't accept it as it is."

"Ofcourse cause it doesn't make any sense," Y/N sighed and said bitterly, "He was pretty clear about what he felt just a minute ago."

"Come on, you know him better than that."

"Really? Then why won't he even try to understand from my side? Forget about feelings, it took Hyunsu get hurt by a monster to make him finally think of one of my choices."

"Did you try to make him understand?"

Y/N was quiet for a moment and muttered, "Well assuming how smart he is, he should fucking try to feel from my perspective."

"Now don't make excuses for that," Jisu chuckled picking up the bowl, "You should eat before it gets cold."

Y/N quietly chewed on the bread, as she sat thinking about Jisu's suggestion. The least she could do is...try to make him understand. But well, she was a bit pissed at him. Eunhyuk spoke to her like she wanted to get together with Hyunsu because she couldn't do it with him. It made her mad, and with the little amount of self-respect that she had, she just decided to leave him alone. Just like he wanted. She heard it multiple times from him about how he didn't feel the same for her. Besides, it will be too tiring to talk to him about exactly why she was a bit more caring towards Hyunsu than others. Bringing up old scars and complicating things is the last thing that she wanted.

While Y/N was engrossed in her thoughts, Jisu sighed as a bit of guilt chewed her head up. Yes, she did mention him taking care of her but there was still something that she didn't say. She wasn't exactly the one who should bring it up, it wasn't her business anyway. But she couldn't help but feel sorry for both of them. It would just be easier if they just started being honest with each other.

Like how honest Eunhyuk was when she was hurt. How he glared at Jaehwan when he offered to help by giving his own shirt to her. It would've just been easier since he got a shirt just outside the room, but no. He decided to go ahead and bring his own shirt from his own room. As if it wasn't enough for Jisu to understand him, he literally asked her to stay with Y/N since he felt 'suspicious' of Jaehwan's intentions.

Such bold actions but only when Y/N was asleep. Jisu chuckled in amusement.
