“It’s minor, Wyatt,” Tru offered.
“I know I have openings on Monday. Would that work for you?”
“That long?” My heart started to pound. Three days sounded like forever. “Shouldn’t you do it right away?”
Dr. Moorthi came around the exam table. Her gaze fixed on mine and she made sure she had my complete attention. Her tone was soft and kind as she said, “I need to make sure you’re listening to my words, Mr. Janson.”
I nodded, and made the effort to focus. “Yes, ma’am.”
“It’s not dangerous. There is no need to worry. The only reason I’m suggesting we remove it is because of where it is. We could wait weeks and it would not be a problem.” She smiled. “If I thought it was a problem in any way, I’d have him on the table immediately. I promise you.”
“You can trust her,” Tru murmured.
