270 What Happened To You?!

Callie managed to put her money worries aside and focus on what she needed to do. Aside from the shock of seeing her boss put on a very hammed up magic show this morning, it was a normal Monday. 

She knew Adam's schedule by this point. If he did go out at all, it was either for an inspection or physical therapy. 

Both wore him out but the latter was worse, likely because of how physically demanding it could be. He was little more than a lump on the couch afterward so she got into the habit of bringing him food in the living room. 

Her earlier feelings of pity returned when he returned rather lifelessly as she was in the middle of making dinner. He really did have it rough, even if he was rich. 

Money couldn't fix everything. In her case, it could fix most things but still not all.
