An important guest

"So, you're still seeing that woman, huh?" Dr. Kwan confronted him, angry that he went to see Fahsai.

"I have no more feelings for her, I just offered her a ride. She's the one who intiated it." He explained and on top adding lies. Fahsai was right after all, he was not a man.

"I'll tell Dad that you're easy to persuade, in case other hospitals try to recruit you away, he'd probably agree." Dr. Kwan threatened him. "Don't forget that it was my Dad who paid for your student loan debts."

At LOLA office meeting, Editor in Chief announced that they were closing up the shop. They had been struggling for some time now and the fire only cemented the fact that business had failed. They had even lost the big commercial client, the hospital.

"It's over." The Chief giggled as he reported that, because the alternative would be to cry.

"We're like a family and surely we can find a way out together." Fahsai consoled him. The gossipmongers at work couldn't wait to rub all their wrath on her face.

"The daughter of the owner of the hospital called in to sever ties with our firm this morning, do you care to explain that?" One lady questioned Fahsai's sincerity in consoling the Chief.

"We have worked with the hospital for so many years and because Fahsai chose to mix business with pleasure, we've lost everything!" Another retorted.

"Why did you have to get in between Dr. Kwan and her fiance?" Asked another.

"My relationship with the owner's fiance is purely platonic." Fahsai defended herself as a fight ensued at the firm where the employee took sides.

"Enough! I take the blame for LOLA'S fall and I'm giving each and everyone of you three days to decide what you want to do." The Chief announced.

Chanming bathed his big brother and recalled how much of an advocate he had been towards his Chanming, his younger brother's involvement with the gang. Big bro just wanted his little brother to follow his dreams and draw, despite how their father was against it. Chanming even drew a gun with their tiger crest on it and confessed that, he didn't intend to draw a gun that will be used to kill people. But now, he understood that without weapons, the other gang will just hurt them.

"I'll use your gun to seek revenge for our brother and father." He vowed.

"Boss, there's still no movement from Daniel." Tiang Kong reported.

"We're bound the see something once that woman agrees to work with us." He said as he knew that Daniel wouldn't keep still for long.

"And do you think she'll agree?" Tiang Kong asked.

"Of course, she'll surely agree because I know exactly what bait to use."

And it appeared that the bait was Fahsai's dad who was scrambling around at night taking money from the register.

"How long has this been going on?" His wife caught him red handed.

"Guys, take it slowly okay? Dad told me he wants to repair the house, right Dad?" Fahsai tried to be the mediator. Her Dad owed Big Boss money but had been paying the interest on time. However, lately, the Big Boss had been demanding all of the money at once and even threatened to endanger his wife and daughter. So Dad had no choice but to still money from Mom. He didn't want to tell the duo at first because he didn't want to worry them.

"Dad, it's fine." Fah, comforted her father. "We're not mad at you, right mom?"

"I have some money saved up." Fah said and her mom begged to differ. "My child you have to keep your money for a rainy day, especially now that you'll be unemployed soon."

"I'm more capable than, in fact, my new salary will be even higher. You'll live comfortably from now on." She assured them.

That night she thought back on her colleagues blaming her for the end of the firm. She then recalled her promise to Mr. Giant, that she'd remain bright and strong amidst adversaries, and not to allow people to hurt her feelings. It was bittersweet that she used his encouraging words to steel herself to work for Chanming. If only Mr. Giant knew....

The next morning as she peered at Chanming's business card, she received a call from Nuth to report back to work immediately, they had an important guest.

There was a commotion at her work place as Nuth approached the latter.

"The all important guest is an new investor and has saved the day. Without him, we'd all be unemployed." Nuth said.

Fahsai did a slow-mo walk to the Chief's office, with the guest's back to her, she was as if she instinctively knew that it was the moment in time where she got to meet HIM again. The guest turned and it was indeed Mr. Giant, looking dapper and all the synonyms of 'gorgeous'. She stared unblinkingly at him. The Chief noticed the charged moment and wondered, "Have the two of you met before?" Fahsai nodded as if to say they had.

"No, we haven't." He denied it, taking the wind out of her sail. Her smile faded as she peered at him, while the Chief made his introductions to his employees. "At what time do you guys start working?" Daniel wondered. It was rather a stranger question, but the camera panned to all employees spying on them from the hallway, all lined up and neatly too. Everyone wanted to be in on the action, especially where Daniel was concerned.

"Meanwhile, you can entertain our guest with some coffee. Excuse me." The Chief left Fah to serve Daniel some coffee.

"Back to work guys! And yes, bring over my grandmother's picture." The Chief told all his employees.
