1 Chapter 1 - A Hero and her Player

Many years had passed and Change', adopted daughter of the great dragon had grown up to be a marvellous young adult. Many things have changed in the land of Dawn, and in a short summary, peace had returned. Old enemies had settled their grudges, scum of society had been vanquished by the forces of light and empires had settled for treaties of peace.

Franco had finally vanquished the terror of the northern seas, Bane. Pharsa, whose sky tribe got decimated by Alice, got her revenge and had finally put an end to her path of bloodshed. The Abyss Lord came back from whence he had come from, defeated by the forces of light. With the wit of Yi Sun Shin, and the army led by Tigreal and his Order of the Knights, with the blessings of Rafaela the Goddess of Fertility, Alucard who had got over his parent's death and myriad more races who had abhorred the Abyss lord. This was the greatest feat of teamwork in history as races put aside their differences, empires lay down their self interests and legends rose for the protection of their land. Though the Abyss lord was forced to retreat, he was only injured and is currently bidding for when the connections between the planes becomes weak once again, there he shall rise once more for more chaos. But we'll that will be a thousand years or more based on the dimensional seal made by countless mages from all around the land led by Gord and the leading authority of the Arcane Arts, the Academy of Magic.

The Alternate world and the Land of Dawn had now been disconnected due to that seal. Players and Heroes alike cannot anymore partake in the Summoner Battlefield. The glorious battlefield has now been reduced to a shadow of the past.

Within a towering mountain in the Eastern part of the land of Dawn that reached far above the clouds, a grand shrine was built upon the peak, adorned with a western dragon that circled all around the mountain and on its head was a glistening pearl that radiated power. Though it was puzzling as to why the scenery was still as vibrant as ever in an altitude of thousands of feet, but such sceneries are just common in the mystical land of dawn.

A fair young maiden in a simple green robe that accentuated her curves, was walking on the stairs that led to the top of the mountain. The maiden gave an ethereal atmosphere around her and wildlife nearby started to yawn and some even felt asleep. Seeing the sleeping beasts on her path, her eyes showed a playful glint but immediately she suppressed her laughter and reigned in her aura. From afar she would be mistaken as wearing a white hat, but the supposed hat is just a rabbit with fur as white as the moon in its brightest moments. The comical look of a rabbit as a hat, gave her a tinge of an innocent air. She was the Moon Goddess, Change', the one that once frequently gave the Great Dragon high blood pressure. As for the great dragon...

"Disciple Change' pays respect to the Great Lord." Change's blue eyes, would usually be filled with a playful glint, but now all that was left was longing and gratitude.

She kowtowed on a Jade Tombstone which was the final resting place of his master. The Great Dragon sacrificed himself within the last plane war, if not for him, the Abyss Lord would have not been defeated and exiled back to his realm.

She was forever grateful for this tolerating master of his that taught her the power she had today. Yet in her heart was regret, remembering how weak she was that day as a child, she could have done more in that battle, she could have save her master from the claws of death.

But no, she was the weakest and the most unused hero in the Summoner's Battlefield, at least Layla would be summoned for every player. While she, she was just an Expensive Hero unable to enter the Meta before she was revamped.

Until one day, a Summoner kept using her in the battlefield. The summoner was not some godly player with some godly controls, he was just an average player with persistence and stubbornness to his belief. Games were continuously lost in the beginning, and playing ranked game would usually be met with curses and insults. But all the player said was but one phrase

"Victory? It is not just in the hero, it is in the player and it is not just in the player but in the team."

To be on the same level as those pro level players, a man without talent could only be a man of practice. Thus every game was played using Change', unless of course he was forced to adjust.

The land of dawn was once that player's refuge until the servers closed down for an unknown reason.

Life had gone forward, and that stubborn player was now a fresh graduate of a programmer. His first plan of action was to get into the company who owned that game, Moontoon.
