"This isn't good. The council are filled with stupid men that believe anything they hear. Your father's pretty smart to spread false rumours about the deceased Queen," Damien said and I groaned in answer to that.

Annoyed doesn't come anywhere near to what I'm feeling right now, it's more like rage and what better timing than on my birthday too?

Mother's death anniversary is in two days but instead of letting me grieve, father's hosting a birthday ball for me in celebration. He's gone mad. If I wait any longer and leave things as they are then it's all going to spiral out of control.

"We need to assemble the council and kick that man off the throne," I spat out.
