Chapter 1

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring like horn in my ear. I checked the time and saw it was 7:30. well I woke up early,I thought to myself. I checked my phone for any calls or message and saw one call from Trent and a voicemail from Amy. it's been three days since I went to work and am sure Trent is worried not to even talk about Amy,am sure she is throwing a tantrum by now. I called Trent to know what's going on.

"hey, sorry for not showing up at work this three days and I don't really have an excuse but am really sorry" I said without giving Trent a breathing space to complain.

"it's okay am not angry, Amy told me everything"

"she did?"

"yh,about your aunt death and all, hey look it's okay,am not angry,if you want I can put you on leave"

"no,there is no need for that, I'll drop by today if that's okay with you?"

"it's okay,I really need someone to wash the dishes for me"

"sure I'll drop by in the evening"

"okay see you then"

"yh,see you then"

the line went dead after Trent and I spoke. I then played the voicemail from Amy

"hey, sweetie,hope your fine I really miss you and I wish I could see you and I hope that jerk is not disturbing you if not I'll just make him disappear, you know I can do that. anyways talk to you later I have some stuff to do for dad. Love you so much" and that was the end. I really miss Amy so much she has been my friend since we were in disappears and I miss her like crazy.she has been my pillar ever since I and josh broke up. well I did break up with him, it's not like it's my fault,he got drunk and started telling people I was pregnant, like who does that,the worse is I was not even pregnant. I wonder who gave him that idea. well you see, Josh is a cute and handsome guy whereas me on the other hand is just your average type of girl, and the funny thing is, I and Josh just clicked and people were like are we dating but we we're not not until second year that Josh asked me to be his girlfriend. I agreed right away without thinking and soon I regretted my actions. I got to school one day and saw that everyone was pointing a finger at me, every where I turn to someone is either whispering or a group of people are laughing not at something but at me. I got to my class and saw Josh laughing with his friends, I walked over to him and greeted him. however he avoided me, I was so lost that I asked his friends what happened and they told me. well according to their side of the story, Josh went to a club and got drunk, and in his drunken state he told everyone I was pregnant which obviously people believed, I tried to tell them it's not true but still people won't believe so I just had to leave the school. it was painful but I had to. back to the present, I got out of bed and went to prepare for school and yes I changed to another school which is closer, easier and less costly for me, at least no one from my old school know am here. I left the house around 8:00, and got to the coffee shop to eat my breakfast, after that I went to school, although my class starts by 1:00,I just have some project to work on. I entered the school library and saw it was packed with students,I guess people here do take school seriously unlike my other school. I found a table that was close to the window and went to sit near it. after an hour of research I heard some student around me murmuring,I turned to see Amy walking in with a cute guy, like wow. I turned back to my book and continued my research, Amy got to my table and sat beside me.

"hey girl,"

"hey,what are you doing here,and who is he" I said pointing to the guy beside her

'"this is Anthony, Anthony this is Suzy the girl I was telling you about"

"hi,"I said as I gave him a small smile

"hi"

"so what do you want Amy,you know am in my last year for college and I really need to read so that I can badge a first class"

"I know silly,and besides am I not also in my last year in college so relax am not disturbing you,I just came to tell you that Anthony is looking for a personal assistant,and I was wondering if you'll like to apply in his company"

"can we talk about this at home,I am really busy right now"

"fine no problem see you at home"

"bye,and make sure you eat"

"yes mum" Amy said as she left my table. the whispering didn't stop after she left so I had to just leave the library and go to class. class was not different at all, well we're in last year of college so people don't really care about reading. I got to my table and was about to sit when Charlie stopped me

"hi, su- what is your name again"

"Suzy,and if it's about the guy you saw in the library I don't know him and yes Amy is his friend"

"okay,so can you send me Amy number?"

"no, I can't, now excuse me I have some reading to do"

"wow,so rude" she said as she left my table. Two hours passed and I couldn't finish my project, I guess I'll just leave it and go to work then. the coffee shop is not that big but moderate and it's not really expensive,but I still like it, Trent was at the far end serving a customer when I heard Josh call me

"what do you want?"

"am sorry Suzy,I really lo-"

"don't you dare, you once loved me and not you love me,so do me the favour and get out before I call Trent" apart from that people were in the shop so I didn't really want to make a scene.

Josh left and everyone else left leaving I and Trent in the shop after the clean up we locked the shop up and went home.
