7 how sweet

Two boys that looked to be about ten stood few feet away.

Color drained from Zaccai's face. He may not really know them but he knew they were werewolves and they were trouble and this will definitely not end well.

"Who are they?" Crown asked.

"Wow! Is that...?" The one who spoke sniffed in loudly "Do you smell that? A human? A human girl..."

"You are not fully changed yet young prince and you already got your claws dug into a prey. I respect that," the same boy spoke, his voice carrying a certain roughness that sent chills down ones spine.

"She's not a prey." Zaccai finally found his voice.

"Oh a friend then! How sad. Tell me brother," he turned to the boy that stood quietly beside him. "Is it right for one of us to be seen in the company of a human in such manner. Asides when we kill them of course. Poor souls," he made a sad face.

The one he referred to said nothing.

Crown noticed Zaccai looked scared and pushed him aside to come stand in front of him.

"Leave my friend alone!" she yelled.

"Oh, my guess was right."

"It was brother," the one who had said nothing finally spoke.

"Don't. They can kill you," Zaccai half pleaded with Crown, careful not to mention her name.

"I don't want you to cry." she scrunched up her face.

"Aw, how sweet. You are to join society by tomorrow. What do you think is going to happen when everyone hear of this. You will be chewed up and spit out. And...for your little friend, let's show you what we really do to one of their kind."

"Please leave her alone, let her go."

"What do you think brother, should we...let her go?" he dragged all the words out.

"No!" Bones breaking and changing let Zaccai know there were going to change into a werewolf.

"Run. Run!"

For the first time ever, he saw fear in her eyes.

"I don't want to leave you." she argued.

He had no time for this. He held her and in a flash she was at the edge of her village. Don't come back ever to look for me. Good bye crown." With that he was gone.

She steadied herself before running home. Dropping all she carried on the cold smooth floor. Her house was empty as there was a meeting going on at the market square at present. She once witnessed her father chase a fox with a rake, so she quickly found one that was laid to rest on a wall at the back of her home. Armed with that, she blindly ran back into the forest.

_

Adin walked the royal court yard one last time before retiring to his home for the night. To reminisce in the times he had to train the young prince he walked into his old room to give a final look, one last time.

He was going to leave when he noticed the pillows didn't seem quite arranged as he remembered it.

Realization hut him immediately as his suspicions grew and he quickly followed the path that led to the path underneath the estate. He reached just outside the walls of the city and saw his suspicion become confirmed forest footsteps track led into the forest.

A scream scent chills down his spine.

He ran fast towards the noise and the sight was one he didn't think he would believe if hadn't witnessed it himself.

__

Crown ran as fast as her legs could carry. She got to Zaccai side just before they had the chance to inflict more pain on him.

"Leave him alone!" They backed away when she got closer. They had broken a leg by the time she got to him but he was slowly healing. It was only then that she realized that a werewolf was different from a wolf.

"Oh wow. Look who has a girlfriend." Prowling around them."

"I told you not to come back you child! Zaccai said furious and frustrated.

"You are a child too!" she fired back. "And I said I will not allow anyone make you cry."

The rake was slapped out of her hands and she let out a small scream at the one who seemed to be leading the other.

She covered Zaccai with her small frame before letting out a louder scream...

The scream Adin heard.

"What is going on here?" Adin landed in his werewolf form in their middle stopping them from attacking.

"Sir Adin!"

"I will get to you soon Zaccai."

"Royal princes. What is this about?" The two boys were from the royal house of Ai and that was definitely going to cause a problem later on.

"They want to hurt my friend!" Crown replied

'You look like you failed in your duties Sir Adin. Wait until the king and the house of Royals hear about this. A werewolf and a human. You will be killed, and so will you little prince.

With that they vanished into the night.

Sir Adin turned to the two kids curled on the ground separating them immediately.

"Explain yourself now!"

"We were playing, we didn't look for trouble," crown explained.

"No stop. It was a mistake sir Adin."

"How long?"

Zaccai stammered.

"How long!" he raised his voice for the first time at him.

"Two weeks."

"Did you eat anything from her?"

"No. Nothing." he said hoping to find grace in his sight

"I have nothing to say to you. You child go on your way." he turned briefly to Crown.

"Are you okay?" She asked Zaccai. She was clearly shaken up.

"Are you listening to me?" Sir Adin queried.

"She doesn't listen," Zaccai replied turning away from her.

"Are you listening to me?" Adin yelled at her.

"Leave me alone, or I will tell my father on you! She threatened.

He was definitely surprised.

Zaccai noticed she wasn't going to let it go until he assured her. "I'm fine, but you need to go home.

She nodded.

"Wait here, I will take her home."

Adin picked her up and ran.

"Never return to this forest again or you will be killed. Adin warned as he dropped her at the edge of the village where Zaccai had earlier done same.

"Do you understand? Prince Zaccai is not your friend."

"But he is my friend. He is my best friend..."

"He is not." Adin stated. "He is a werewolf and you a human. Though our world's coexist we can never truly exist together. You are prey in our world and food for those without control or value for their lives."

"He's my friend..." She argued. Her eyes welled up with tears, blurring her vision...Her tiny voice breaking up.

"Thank you for trying to save your... him..." He added as he ignored her protest. "Your journey with him ends here."

With that he disappeared into the forest.

All was quiet for a minute before she suddenly screamed at the top of her lungs before finally dropping to the ground, passing out cold.

The scream scent a certain wave over Ashford.

Adin got back to Zaccai.

"We have a big problem, bigger than you sneaking out to meet with a human," Let's go!"

"Is she...? he heard her scream and was really worried.

"She will be. And you should never be worried about a human. Never!"

"Let's go." He carried him back to his parents home and up to his room.
