46 CHAPTER 20: Leaving the Kingdom

Hey guys I am back, sorry for not puloading yesterday. I didn;t such free time as I only got one day off from the college which was sunday and then my regular colleged lessons started from yesterday.

Which is also why i did rigth much and would be able to give you guys the promised mass released for now, but just wait for few more day, I will write as much as possible and then do the mass upload.

CHAPTER 20: Leaving the Kingdom

[2 Hours Later]

[Near the ending point of the outdoor drill}

"Ah! There it is," I said out loud as I stopped walking after seeing the ending point of the outdoor drill. Hearing my voice the students following me and Roanna stopped.

Jerking their heads, they also look in the direction I am looking, only to see a group of teachers from the royal academy and Royal knights standing in a clearing with an airship behind them, waiting for our arrival.

Seeing the teachers and the royal guard waiting for them, all students rejoice in happiness, except Alphonse and Steward who have messed up during this trip.

After a short burst of happiness, all the students started walking toward the teachers and Royal knights, including Alphonse and Steward.

Only, Flora and Christina didn't go as they, with complicated emotions in their eyes, looked at me and Roanna, who didn't move from our places.

"Roanna, is it your final decision? You want to go with Rio and not come with us back to the kingdom. What about your parents, would they allow it?" Christina asked Roanna, who was happy holding my arm with a small smile on her face.

But, hearing Christina's questions. Her smile vanished, as she came to her senses, then she answered Christina in a stoic voice, "Princess Christina, I am very happy that you are thinking about my well-being. But rest assured, I have my parent's permission for this. They were already aware of my relationship with Rio from the start, and gave us their blessings."

"As for the permission to go with Rio, I already have it. As even before starting our relationship, Rio has informed me about his plan to go on a journey to his homeland. I relayed this to my parents and they have permitted me to accompany him. So, please rest assured. I will be happy with Rio, he will protect me. I am sure of his strength, as all of us have seen the demonstration of his power a few hours ago."

"There are also Alphonse and Steward's families back in the kingdom, who will surely try to take revenge against Rio. And even if you two are the princesses of the kingdom, I don't think that your status would be able to help him in any way possible. So it's best for us, to leave the kingdom for now, and then return later in the future, when everything is settled down with time." Roanna said. Eliminating any possible rebuttal Christina and Flora could come up with.

"Okay," Christina said and then grabbed hold of Flora's hand and started walking towards the ending point of the drill.

Just as both of them reached a distance of 10 meters from us, I said, "Well, then happy farewell, First Princess Christina, and Second Princess Flora. I hope we will meet again in the future but until then goodbye. And in case you want to contact Roanna, please contact the Celsius Company in the Galarc Kingdom. They will surely relay your message to me and Roanna, as it's been managed by my royal retainers." I said, making both of them stop in their steps.

"What do you mean..." Christina turned around while asking what I meant. Only for her and Flora to be surprised, on seeing a space portal opening beside me and Roanna, and then Me holding Roanna's hand, as we stepped inside it, and then the portal disappeared. Leaving behind two utterly gobsmacked princesses.

[With Rio, On The Other Side Of The Space Portal]

"Hahaha. You saw their surprised faces." I asked Roanna after a chuckle.

"Yes, I saw. Giggle. It was hilarious, and it was my first time seeing Princess Christina make such a face." Roanna replied with a giggle, trying to control the laughter that was threatening to slip past her lips, on remembering the faces of the princesses.

And it was only to see their surprised faces that I decided to accompany them until they reached the ending point of the outdoor drill in the first place.

Otherwise, I would have already left with Roanna, just after solving those two Minotaurs, and then have spent a long time satisfying Roanna's curiosity. By answering her long list of questions, while seated in a nice place, not while walking in the middle of a jungle, as we escort the princess and others to the ending point of the drill.

It was also during this time. I told Roanna about my ability to teleport and manipulate wind, which is why she wasn't surprised earlier on seeing a space portal opening in front of me.

"And now, it's your turn to be surprised," I said to her, and she stopped laughing, with a questioning look on her face, asking; what do you mean?

"Do you know where we are right now?" I asked with an amusing smile on my lips.

To this, Roanna first looks around us, only to see us being surrounded by a sea of trees, which gives her no information about where we are.

"No, I don't know." She said while shaking her head. Then while cutely tilting her head she asked, "But aren't we still in the same forest as before?"

On seeing her acting cute, I smile as in the past month she has found out that whenever she acts cute and shy, it makes me happy, and I tend to act more cuddly and lovey-dovey with her, which she likes very much.

So, she has started to act cute, whenever she wants me to answer her question, which has always worked until now. But not this time.

"No, not this time. Otherwise, it will ruin the surprise," I told her, and a disappointing expression appeared on her face, as she made an angry pout. Which I poked with my fingers, and then pinched her nose. That made her annoyed, so I stopped messing with her.

"Okay, enough playing. I am serious about the surprising part. As I have already told you before, on the day we will start our journey, I will tell you my greatest secret, right?" I asked her.

To which she first nodded nonchalantly. But when she realized what I meant, she exclaimed in surprise, "Really! are you serious?!"

"Of course, do you think I will joke about something so important to our relationship?" I asked her in a questioning tone. That made her apologize to me, "Sorry about that, I think you were a joke."

"It's okay," I said while patting her head to display the sad mood around us. It worked as she snuggled close to my hand. But, when I retracted my head, she came to her senses and became embarrassed about realizing what she was doing.

Then to hide her embarrassment, she tried to change the topic, and for this, she said, "So, where are we right now? What is the secret you are talking about?"

"Calm down, currently we are in a place that is related to my secret, and only people who are close to me are allowed to enter," I said and I could see how her curiosity increased with each passing second.

So, before her curiosity exploded, I held her hand and started walking in a particular direction as I told her, "Let's, I will show you something, that will blow up your mind."

After a minute, we came out of the forest into a clearing, and an expression of shock and awe appeared on Roanna's face, on seeing the scenery in front of us.

"Wow!" Roanna exclaimed in surprise.

"This is the secret I was talking about. My home." I finally told her as we looked at the scenery in front of us, consisting of farms filled with dozens of different varieties of crops, fruit trees, spices, etc. Griffins, horses, bears, etc animals that she has only seen once or twice in her life, running in the grasslands. Then there is a dense forest expanding as far as the sea could see.

And in the middle of all this, three structures, a one and four-story villa that I expanded recently. A red and black warehouse. And an area surrounded by walls from all sides with only half of it being covered by the roof as white smog is coming out of the unroofed part ( it is the hot spring). With all of this near a 40 meters wide pond.

The main attraction is the background behind them, which continues to change every 10 seconds, one second it is a forest, then it changes into a grass field, then into a place filled with sky-high towers that reflect the sunlight shining on them.

"Like what you see?" I asked the utterly gobsmacked Roanna. She tried to say something, but only empty air came out of her mouth.
