Ch.143 Yukino Final

"Yukino... You have always been one of my closest friends.. we have been together since childhood and there aren't many people I know as much as I know you."

"You.... also know so much about me... so please don't ask such types of questions again."

Hearing Ryuu's reply Yukino remained silent, Ryuu also didn't say anything else. The only sound that was heard was the wind and the camera taking pictures.

"You know Ryuu..."

Yukino finally opened her mouth, her tone carried so much emotion that it shocked Ryuu to his core.

"You are right... I know you the best... I know so much about you.. what you like to eat.. your favorite color."

"What you dislike... how you are... almost all of your secrets... in fact Sora may be the only one who knows more about you than me."

After saying that she took a deep breath, Ryuu stood there silently without saying anything else, his thoughts unknown.

"Thus knowing so much about you...."

As she said that she started to walk toward the forest, taking her camera out she took a photo....

"Yuki..."

Before he could say anything else, the light of the camera flashed in his eyes. He says it, the sad face of Yukino as tears streamed down her eyes.

"I also know when you are lying."

Hearing Yukino's last words Ryuu stopped his words as he clenched his fist.

"So tell me the truth Ryuu. Please..."

Her words got more and more muffled due to her tears as she put the camera down.

"Tell me the truth... please let me help you.... please let me be the light for you... like you always have been for me."

As she finished her words she broke down crying.. Ryuu couldn't take this anymore as he took a deep breath.

His eyes became calm and steady, so with that, he finally opened his mouth to give her a reply.

"I.."

Russel!!

Suddenly something moved in the bushes, stopping his words he rushed forward as he stood in front of Yukino while looking at where the sound came from.

Yukino also stopped crying as she looked at the bushes carefully, she wasn't that nervous as due to Ryuu's training she would be able to run away from any threat easily.

 Plus looking at the back of Ryuu as he protected her gave her a sense of security like none other.

Under the gazes of both of them, a small bunny's head popped out of the bushes, seeing the two humans in front of it.

It ran away as fast as it came, Yukino gave a sigh of relief as she looked at Ryuu in front of her.

Taking a step forward she buried her head in his back as she hugged him from the back, she opened her mouth and spoke again.

"Even at a chance of me being in threat, you appeared before me.. protecting me like you always have."

"Even when I was despised by everybody... hated by my own family... you still stood out for me. You have always been with me no matter what happened."

"No matter what trouble you will have to face because of me... you always stayed by my side."

"Will you do all that for your close friends... perhaps you will... that's the type of person you are after all. Greatest shield for your friends and family but the most ruthless person to your enemies."

"Even so.. I do not believe that you see me just as a close friend. So please tell me Ryuu... please tell me truthfully what do you see me as.."

"What do you see me.. a girl so much in love with you that she can go to any lengths to be with you."

"A girl who loved you for as long as she knew the concept of love itself.. so please tell me, what do you think of this girl."

Yukino spoke everything she needed to as she hugged him even more tightly, although she spoke so confidently she was still afraid of his reply.

She wants to but also fears hearing his truthful reply.

Ryuu stood silent, his thoughts being a spiraling tornado unable to come up with an answer.

No, he has an answer... but for some reason he can't say it. Words appear in his mind but don't leave his mouth.

A fear.. a fear which he doesn't know the source of consumes him... True Sage unknown to that fear just watches her master silently.

'<So you are still unable to come terms with it.>'

'<Well what did I expect from someone as broken you White>'

A voice full of disdain spoke but Ryuu(White) wasn't able to hear it, Black didn't mind it as he had already expected it.

'<What a coward you are>'

CRACK!!

Something like a glass shattering was heard in Ryuu's head giving him intense pain, he held his head as he tried his hardest not to shout.

His leg lost its strength as he fell down, but due to Yukino hugging him from behind he didn't fall to the ground.

"Ryuu!!"

Yukino called out in a voice of worry but Ryuu didn't give a reply.. he couldn't as he held his head due to the headache felt by him.

'<So you even feel the pain now.. no matter..'< p>

'<Three more remaining.>'

With those words, the voice faded as the pain felt by Ryuu started to disappear.

[Are you alright Master?!]

True Sage called out as she did a quick scan of his body and soul but couldn't find anything. She tried again and again but she still couldn't feel anything.

'I am fine.'

Ryuu gave True Sage a reply as he stood up.

"Ryuu are you alright?"

Yukino asked as tears streamed down her eyes again, she was worried.. worried to death. After all, she has never seen Ryuu like this.

He had never gotten sick or any other illness so this situation almost gave her a small hear attack.

"Yes, I am fine."

Ryuu replied to her as he stood up, taking a deep breath he closed his eyes and opened them again to look at the crying face of Yukino.

"Don't worry I may have been a little tired due to not sleeping till now."

Saying that he took out his handkerchief and started to wipe Yukino's tears, Yukino didn't say anything and just stood there silently.

"Let's have this talk some other time I shout probably rest."

Hearing his words Yukino nodded but didn't say anything.. this incident gave her quite a scare so she couldn't even form words.

She just held Ryuu's hand tightly as both of them started to walk toward their tent.
