143 Ch.142 Yukino(5)

"Ryuu, I always wondered.."

Yukino asked as she picked up the tent that had fallen down, hearing her words Ryuu put down the guidebook and looked at her.

"Yes?"

Ryuu asked as he looked at Yukino while tilting his head.

"You always do so much, but why?"

"Hmm, what do you mean?"

Ryuu asked back to her question as he didn't quite understand her words.

"I mean, even after becoming a famous managaka and earning enough money to last a lifetime you didn't quite stop there."

"As far as I know you have never been a money-hungry or power-hungry person, so why?"

Hearing Yukino's question he became silent as he thought her question through, after a while he replied.

"I just liked the challenge."

"Challenge?"

"Hmm, Yukino we have been together since childhood so you should know that I don't like sitting around and doing nothing."

Hearing Ryuu's reply she became silent for a while before she let go of the tent and looked at Ryuu.

"If so, then why are you letting this situation continue as it is."

She asked this time her voice a little emotional, after all, she knew Ryuu and knowing him she also understood he knew her and their feelings.

She has confessed to him so many times, even Sora had confessed to him so she knows him... the Ryuu she knows and loves. She just can't understand his current thought process.

"Pardon?"

Ryuu asked in a clueless tone, hearing his words and the tone in which he spoke Yukino bit her lips but didn't say anything else.

After this short conversation, she has become sure of one thing... her suspicion turned out to be correct.

Something has happened... something very big that has turned the Ryuu she knows into the Ryuu she currently sees.

Her only guess currently is his losing and getting back his emotions... but even if that is not the reason.. no matter what the reason may be.

She promised herself that she would get to the bottom of it no matter what.

Hours passed by, and all the tents were complete Ryuu had already started to cook food while Ai, Kaguya, and Yukino were helping him from the side.

Hori also wanted to help but since four people with professional level of cooking skills were already doing it.

She could only sit on the sidelines and help other with the things they were doing.

Aki, Hachiman, and Miyamura are setting up the speakers whereas Chika and Sora are choosing the music to listen to.

Utaha is busy putting insect repellant on the tents while Hori is helping her.

After everybody, they started the music but not too loud as they are the only trace of humanity on this mountain and don't want to disturb the wildlife too much.

So they enjoyed the time eating, dancing, and talking to each other, Hachiman was the first to go to bed followed by Hori and Miyamura.

Chika wanted to stay but since she had been running around all day she also went to bed early.

Sora fell asleep in his lap so Ryuu put her to bed... Kaguya and Ai also called it a night and went to sleep.

Utaha and Yukino had a brief conversation before Utaha entered her tent, seeing the people leaving Aki also went away.

Now the only people left were Yukino and Ryuu, both of them stared at each other for a while before standing up.

Ryuu started to put out the fire and Yukino went to her tent to pick up her camera.

"Well then, let's go"

Ryuu said as he looked at Yukino and Yukino nodded her head.

"So have you decided which places you want to take the photos? We should finish this quickly, after all, it is already quite late in the night."

"It won't take that long, Let's take a photo near the lake, the flower garden, and the forest."

"Sure."

...

Finally, it's time, Let's see how should I bring up the topic.

"Yukino, is this spot ok."

"Hmm, let's see... Yes, it's fine."

Don't be nervous Yukino, didn't you promise yourself that you would get to the bottom of this?

"Ryuu.."

"Yes."

"What do you think about us?"

AHH, what kind of question am I starting with... whatever.....

"What do you mean?"

"I mean what do you think of all of us."

Hearing Yukino's question Ryuu looked at her and stared at her eyes. Yukino started at him back, various emotions were floating in her eyes some of which even he couldn't read.

"I see all of you as great friends and Sora as a great sister."

"Is that so..."

Yukino muttered hearing his reply as she started to take photos of her surroundings.

"Then what do you think of my confession? After all, I love you so much."

 Hearing her words and sudden confession Ryuu was caught off guard as he started to cough.

"Umm... I don't think it is quite time for us to start a relationship."

Hearing his reply Yukino didn't say anything and started to walk toward the patch of flowers.

"Do you truly think like that?"

"What do you mean?"

"I am asking.... please tell me how you really feel about me."

Hearing her words, Ryuu stopped in his tracks, he looked forward all he could see was Yukino's back and not her face.

His eyes lost focus for a while before regaining them back, he took a deep breath and answered the question that was asked to him.
