Rejection and Memories

"I want you to marry me." Shia declared while pointing at Izumi who almost caused an accident.

He stopped the car and..

"...Umm I'm sorry. I think I've misheard. What did you just said?" He was dumbfounded and thought his ears were playing 8 ball pool.

There's no way she said that. Ever!

"I said I want you to marry me and that's your punishment."

Now Izumi was sure why he was getting bad vibes from here.

He cursed himself for not listening to his instincts.. Since, he didn't and now paying the ultimate price.

Not everytime ignorance is bliss, after all.

Grayfia only had an amused smile on her face hearing Shia's declaration honestly, she was not bothered by it.. She knew that this guy charm was too damn high.. but same couldn't be said for Tio.

On the other hand, Tio had an ugly face. She looked exactly like a wife whose husband was standing infront of her with another woman and a child and expecting her to give her blessing.

After all, she just got defeated by someone who arrived in a day and proposed boldly to her potential mate which she couldn't find courage to do that.

It's obviously me who came first but food had been delivered to other. Not fair!

Not fair at all!!

So it's obvious, she was jealous of Shia and hell even Grayfia, not that she'd say it loud.

"I refuse!" Izumi outright denied her proposal.

Shia froze with widened her eyes and mouth.

His short sentence was like a clap of thunder resounded in background and her brain stopped functioning..

Damn...That was too brutal!

Izumi for a second probably saw her soul escaping from her mouth.

"She seemed to have gone into coma... Izumi-san even though her confession was bit sudden and surreal you could have atleast rejected her more nicely. Look what have you done to the poor rabbit. I'm sure this must be traumatic for her."

Tio woke up from her stupor and exclaimed but inside she sighed in relief as it wasn't her..

'Poor Shia..no.. Teacher, Don't worry your sacrifice was not in vain. I definitely learnt something from your teaching.' She was expressing her gratitude towards her self-'acknowledged' teacher.

"Did you really forgot that we need her to enter 'there', Izumi-Sama?" Grayfia who was silent decide to spoke as she noticed that their guide passed out again.

"Hey Hey... it's not my fault. I mean who is stupid enough to shouts marriage proposal like that. We literally just met and she has already proposed to me because of some visions that mustn't be true." Izumi raised his hands while stating the obvious and he really didn't meant his last line..

"Didn't you notice that there were no lies with her words even when she mentioned about her vision? I had my doubts and it proved correct. And how she knew that we'll be there, must be her intuition, right.

Listen Izumi-san, we women are uniquely strange and fascinating creatures.... " Saying this, Grayfia for the first time took initiative to kiss him infront of others.

This act of hers earned a silent 'Tch' from the jealous Dragoness.

Izumi went into dazed as he remembered a certain memory of a woman saying exactly similar words.

"Listen, Izumi what you did was very wrong. You shouldn't speak like that to anyone ever.. Gladly, that Aunty didn't mind your words, if it were me I'd have beaten you. You just insulted her pride as a woman.. Every woman has their own ups and downs. You can't just come and point anything that comes to your mind. It's a very very bad habit.

Women are strong and strange creatures. A strong woman loves, forgives, walk away, lets go, tries again and perseveres... no matter what life throws at her.... So you shouldn't disrespect them. Go and tell Aunty Sumire Sorry.." A woman between 30 to 32 age was making her son understand, who was looking like Izumi but very small and had chubby cheeks.

He look very cute though!

"But but..." Little Izumi was very disobedient.

"No but. You think women are weak then what about me.. Am I weak? At times even your father get scared infront of me... You're mistaken if you think like that son... Now go and beg, ask for her forgiveness for your earlier outburst, do it within 5 seconds, if not..."

She reprimanded in a gentle tone with a gentle smile but it sounded like a devil was going to descended for little Izumi.

He ran like his life depends on it.

After that incident he never disrespect any woman.... since his mother made sure to teaches her son a lesson.

Unconsciously, a tear slipped down his cheek but he quickly wiped it.

He chuckled a little remembering the past...

It was the reason he admired women not because of their looks, but their courageous nature....

During his childhood, he was corrupted by those Nakiri Clansmen as they always said women are weak, frail, tools and...blah..blah.

But his mother, Iori Miyamura said otherwise and he'd trust his own mother words rather than trusting some strangers..

After his father passed away, his mother worked nonstop since she wanted her son to live in comfort....Thus, Izumi never mentioned anything about his harsh bullying to her.

He kept it to himself and tolerated it, since it was nothing compared to the pain his mother was feeling despite that she had a smile in her face and even in her death she had that kind smile..

He also found out that the previous Miyamura died since the shock was too much for him and the fact he was bullied made him wanted to commit suicide however he passed away in depression..

(A/N: He already accepted himself as Izumi and don't worry, very soon he'll meet with the piece of soul of 'him' that still residing inside.)

There's a saying that..."A Mother's love never ends, it's there from the beginning to end."

They sacrifice themselves for their child even if it requires to walk on fire.. and Father's love are not much different from them....

This is universal truth!

Even Our Earth is called Mother Earth..

But he won't sit quiet if a woman is a snake... He may have respect for woman but he's not blind.

Grayfia noticed his changed in reaction and immediately understood he must be reminiscing about his past... So she didn't disturbed him.

Her guessed was always accurate... For a moment I, the Author-sama thought she must be a True SEER..
