20 Chapter 10: A New Journey Begins

-The World Of Teyvat, Teyvat Continent, Mondstadt region, City of Mondstadt, Knights of Favonius HQ-

"Oh well... It's a bit unexpected, but I don't mind talking about it. I remember it as if it was yesterday, around the time I was promoted from Captain of her squad to Master of the Knights, the situation for the Knights of Favonius was not good at all, and traitors had managed to give the Fatui an upper hand against us. I did my best to keep things together as tightly as possible, and together with the those who still wished to truly uphold order, we were able to restore the Knights of Favonius. It was then that I received my Vision, with a reminder of why I fight. 'For Mondstadt, as always'." Jean seemed to be surprised by Venus' question but was soon able to answer in a short retelling.

"That's interesting... So it just appeared... I think I got the idea." Venus narrowed his eyes as he began to think.

"That's so beautiful. So, do you think God Barbatos recognized your efforts?" Sarah on the other hand was more interested in the story itself.

"Well, you could certainly say that, but I personally believe I was just given the strength I needed to accomplish my duties." Jean said in response to Sarah's question.

"... Maybe if I put us in a very dangerous situation... Hum... Is it worth to risk though?... Hum... Hard to say...." Venus mumbled to himself, without noticing that both Sarah and Jean were just looking at him as if he had kicked a dog in the streets.

"*Ahem*, I hope you don't mind me asking, but why are you so interested in getting a Vision?" Jean asked.

"No... What if we just go to a harsh environment? Maybe surviving in a volcano would be enough... Oh me? I just want my wives to have them so they can protect themselves... Where was I? Oh yeah, hash environment, so if I add monsters to the hash environment the chances should be higher..." Venus was deep in thought and didn't even really pay attention as he answered Jean's question.

"Wives?... Are you perhaps?" Jean wondered before looking at Sarah subconsciously.

"... Yes..." Sarah who was embarrassed began blushing as she showed the ring on her finger.

"Oh, I wasn't aware the current Ambrosio head was married? Did you not have a marriage ceremony... Sorry, I might have overstepped my boundaries." Jean without noticing let her inquisitive nature take the best of her.

"Don't worry, it's not a problem. We're actually recently engaged..." Sarah internally panicked and just answered the first thing that came to mind.

"Congratulations then, I wonder if you plan on holding a ceremony any time soon. If so, I would be more than willing to help with the preparations. Such an important moment should be treated with utmost care." Jean smiled as she leaned in closer and grabbed Sarah's hand as she spoke.

"Yeah... But that's kind of dependent on a certain someone." Sarah responded while giving Venus obvious side glances.

"*Sigh* Understandable, sometimes men act in odd unexpected ways despite whatever might have happened... This reminds me of a certain red head that I know... Anyway, the fact that proposed already means he's willing to be with you... Even if it sounds like more people are involved... If you're happy that way, you have my best wishes." Jean strengthened her grip and seemed to be shaking with a broad smile on her face.

"Thank you! I'm happy this way." Sarah who was still a bit overwhelmed by Jean smiled a bit awkwardly with a blush on her face.

From then, both talked for a bit more.

"What if pain is necessary? Should I suggest to let ourselves be hit by monster's attacks a few times... That could help..." Venus was still focused on his thoughts.

"Lord Ambrosio, why not try visiting the statue of the seven in Starfell Lake? I've heard that people tend to feel closer to the Gods when they go near the statues. It might help you." Jean shook her head at Venus' ideas before deciding to put a stop to it before things got drastic.

"Huh... Don't you say... I'll definitely go there. Anyway, I must thank you for your help. Sarah, let's go." Venus expressed.

"Bye! It was great talking to you!" Sarah waved her goodbye.

"It was all my pleasure. I hope to hear about your ceremony in the future." Jean smiled as she immediately got back to work.

Having left Jean's office, Venus and Sarah went to the local alchemist's shop, where they found a man working on an alchemy table.

"Oh hi! Are you perhaps also interested in alchemy?... With that I mean, is there anything I can craft for you?... I'm Timaeus by the way." Timaeus was a bit surprised to have someone new come to him, not that alchemy wasn't needed, it was just not that useful for travelers unless they are adventurers and there aren't that many adventurers that come to Mondstadt, since the pay was much better in Liyue anyway.

"I see, but I'm only interested in knowing if you know where we could find Sucrose." Venus kept it clear and direct.

"Oh, that, she's definitely in her lab, but I wouldn't bother trying to reach her right now, she said she was going to need full isolation for an experiment, so I doubt you'll be able to reach her." Timaeus explained.

"If so, the next time you see her, could you tell her that, Venus Ambrosio, wants to talk to her about Visions." Venus requested.

"Gotcha! I'll make sure to do so." Timaeus easily agreed.

"Then you have my thanks, we'll be excusing ourselves." After a quick goodbye, Venus and Sarah who was more so distracted looking at the alchemy table left to go to Starfell Lake, to check out the statue of the seven, there.

Moving at high speed, it was not too long before they found themselves in the area, and as they were getting closer to where the Lake was supposed to be, they came across a young man with fair skin and a slim build. His eyes are aqua green which also resembles the sky and the grass. He has dark blue hair that borders on black, with short twin braids that fade into aqua at the tips. He was wearing a frilly white top with a corset-like leather midsection, along with teal shorts with gold embroidery, a matching teal cape held together by a deep blue and gold bow. He was also wearing white stockings with three gold diamond shapes along each leg and a beret-like hat with a flower. On his waist a green spherical Vision, and some lyres.

The most unusual part was instead the Dragon in front of him, whose entire body is colored in a shade of blue, with its main body being a lighter Azure blue, while its talons and horns colored in more of a darker midnight blue. With six feathery wings, sharp teeth, and claws, from its size alone, this being was a force not to be taken lightly.

".... Don't be afraid... It's alright now. I'm back." The young man said to the dragon as he slowly approached it.

*Rawr!!* In response the dragon grew agitated and roared as it began to shake its body until it swang its claw at the young man.

At an impressive speed, the young man evaded the attack, before looking around and seeing Venus and Sarah.

"... You weren't supposed to be here!..." The young man disappeared into a gust of wind, right after uttering those words.

Following that, the Dragon looked at Venus and Sarah, before shooting a wind blast against them from its mouth. Just as Venus grabbed onto Sarah and prepared to jump out of the way, a blond young woman slashed through the attack protecting them both, with her sword cloaked in a green wind-like aura as well.

The Dragon then immoderately took off, flying into the distance.

"Are you ok?! You really had Paimon worried! You can't just go jump into danger like that, well at least you helped these people, so Paimon can't really complain." Out of the woods, what seemed like a flying baby came to the blond young woman.

"This world is definitely a jackpot, there are beautiful women everywhere. Be praised the Lust God, the only ever useful one." Venus joked around to try and distract Sarah from the prior situation.

"How can you just say that?! We almost died!!!" Which worked as she got immediately worked up.

"Don't exaggerate, I could have protected you either way." Venus winked at her.

"Arrggh! You're impossible!" Sarah groaned as she attempted to hide her blush behind fury.

The blond young woman and her small floating companion couldn't help but just look at their interaction.

"Paimon doesn't understand. Is this how couples behave?"

"Beats me..." The blond young lady was just as confused.
