Everything in this book makes me wanna keep on reading it. I've never been a fan of watching videos to get free passes or anything like it, but I just had to give in when I realized how incredible this novel was going to be. Starting with an apealling narrative style, which is fairly understandable even for foreigners who aren't aware of cultural traditions and historical events, as am I, (despite there being a few mistakes in translation). Not only did the amazing development of the main characters as well as the relationships built amongst each other make me smile and cringe and cry at my screen multiple times, but also the protagonist is unlike any I've read before. Personally, I have a hard time remembering names when it comes to other languages, due to the difference in pronunciation and the first-name-last-name order being swapped. Notwithstanding this, it is worth it to bare through the complex universe and individuals that this novel outlines, in order to read this masterpiece. The apocaliptic type of plot is quite repetitive, if I say so myself as a big fan of this genre. However, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book even to those unfamiliar with magical realism. Moreover, I have to point out the tremendous thought and detail behind the world building and story telling. Being a true perfectionist, I was delighted with every and each explanation about what was unraveling during the events of the novel, leaving some to the imagination, of course. Following the hardships the main character goes through, which are resolved with the necessary wit and effort, and not overpowered abilities exclusively. Last but not least, I gotta include that the manhwa of this narrative is ongoing, and portaits the novel with outstanding talent. I have yet to finish reading both the written and drawn stories, but I am definitely looking forward to it!
This novel is my most favorite. The authors certainly wrote Kim Dokja well. He isn't one of those "heroic" protagonists that are just plain boring. He is someone who's simply trying to live and survive to see his dream ending. This novel mainly is about stories. So don't be surprised when you see Greek mythologies and superheroes. This novel has a perfect mix of stories and tales.
🔶I just completed reading Light Novel, you guys will not believe what happen in End and why this all started. 🔶And the most shocking part was the identity of Author i.e 𝗹𝘁𝘀𝟭𝟮𝟯 (Who wrote "Three Ways to Survival in a Ruined World") 🔶I think that the Chapter 551 is not the Last Chapter. 🔶After the Novel finish the Real Life Author's of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint i.e 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗴 (Married Couple) share some of their words with us & when I saw the last sentence (Till next time) means the story has not ended. 🔶Iam so Emotional 😢 right now and Happy as well. 🔶But still I want to know what happen behind that hospital door in last chapter. 🔶Damn wish this Webtoon to complete till chapters 551.
No many stories deserve a 5/5 rating on this app, but I personally feel that this is one of the few which truly merits being acknowledged. Without spoilers, this story is one of a continual sacrifice, building all the way in a artistic finale and conclusion. There is a fresh world setting which is unlike a lot of the other novels which can be found to be reusing the same generic themes and ideas. Definitely a novel read. One note of some importance of thIs English translation is that the translator changes near the last quarter or so of the book, which leads to a few discontinuities when it came to naming conventions but is overcome by simply accepting the differences and thanking them for their work. Great novel, emotionally compelling and gives food for thought.
To be honest, the description really doesn't do this novel justice. Since it's told from the point of view of a reader in it's truest meaning, there is an incredibly unique plotline created. The dynamic between the characters is amazing, and all of their developments are realistic and well-explained. Nothing is rushed, which can make it seem sort of slow if that's not what you're used to, but this story is genuinely worth it. The premise and world-building is also incredibly solid and consistent. I've never seen such a unique world before, and I wouldn't even know what to compare it with because the only thing it really has in common with other novels is that it's technically about a reader transported into a novel. However, it is so, so much more. I might only be this biased for the novel since it's reaching its conclusion, but god dammit it really means something to me. I hate that it's barely in the top 50 of rankings, but I'm glad it isn't farther down. If any one of you love reading stories as much as I do, then you won't regret reading this. The protagonist, Kim Dokja, loves stories as much as we do. Therefore, this story hold a special place in my heart, because it's almost as if it could be about any one of us. I hope someone reading this tries this novel and can see as much beauty in it as me. Thanks for giving it a shot. :)
Hi there! I certainly recommend this novel! It's sooo good that I finish the 260+ chapters in 3 days , sacrifing hours of sleep. I read some reviews saying that this is BL, but it certainly is NOT! There are some sort of misunderstandings from and of characters' interactions and relationships in the story that may cause some people to judge this as BL, but I think that those are just humors that the author put there to make the characters alive and to cater (MAYBE) to some of the fans of the novel. On the other hand, this novel is really good! The characters, world building and story itself lets you be so absorbed. It's like your favorite food is being served and you cannot wait to dig in! Ahem~ cough cough (I don't mean to talk about food)
Ok first i recommend this to those readers who read the comments first before reading the novel because this novel is AMAZING, Second i wish this novel have an anime or something, cause even though I'm just reading it i can already feel my hair standing up because of excitement, it puts you at the edge of your sits and its funny too. So im really thankful to the author and the translator. THANK YOU!!
