The Promised Neverland-4.

Next Morning.

'Hmm, looks like I overslept a little...' Thought Eddy while getting up from the bed, last night was...horrendous, he couldn't sleep at all until his Heightened senses were off.

"I will have to be quick if I want my plan to work" He murmured as he descended the stairs.

----

'They are already up...' He thought in distress about his oversleeping although he is the one who should be more responsible.

"Good morning kids" Eddy greeted.

"Good morning"

"Go-Good morning"

They replied, in different tones.

"Okay, everyone gather in the living room, we have some things to discuss," He told them, and before long, everyone was sitting in the living room.

Once he made sure he had their attention, he started.

"We can't escape," He said to the shock of everyone.

"Not in the usual way" He kept going without waiting for their response.

"Grace Field is surrounded by high walls in every direction and beyond those walls is a freefall to death, you see, this place is built on a cliff so jumping will do us no good."

"This facility is made like a diagram with six areas, 5 of them are orphanages where quality 'meals' gets raised while the last one is where the demons live and ship the 'food' to other places."

"And the only bridge to the outside world is within the demon area so to get there we will have to pass by them."

"If the demons did not know about us knowing about the truth, we could have found a way to escape through the cliff using ropes or something like that, however, since I killed two of them to get Conny and they have probably found the bodies by now, that option won't work for a multitude of reasons."

"That is why I devised a plan for us to get out with the minimal casualties possible while at the same time saving all the children from the other four areas, I wouldn't usually go out of my way to do so, but, with my plan, I think we can do that"

"So before I tell you the plan, you tell me what you think"

The children absorbed Eddy's words, realizing the gravity of the situation. They knew the risks involved, but they also understood that their survival depended on taking action.

"so how do you propose we get past the demons? They're much stronger and bigger than us," Emma asked, her voice laced with concern. She had seen how big and scary those things look so she knows best about this.

The other children nodded in agreement, although most didn't actually witness the demons but Norman had already told them how they looked like last night.

"We won't get pass them, not like what you might think, the plan I have in mind is pretty simple actually, we will climb the wall, run by it to the closest farmhouse, kill the so-called 'Mama' and free the children, then repeat that process while at the same time, I will kill every single demon we encounter" He said with a straight face, not like he is talking about killing creatures that are triple his size.

The children exchanged unsure glances, their expressions revealing a mix of uncertainty and apprehension. They had only met Edward the night before when he saved Conny and revealed the horrifying truth about their existence. Although they were grateful for his intervention, they couldn't help but feel skeptical about his suicidal plan to take on the demons by himself.

Noticing their dark expression Eddy stood up and walked to the wall "I know what you might think 'How can a normal human being fight those clawed beasts' right? But you see the thing is...I am not that normal" and so he punched through the wall, penetrating it like nothing, and then retracting his hand showing them that it wasn't damaged in the slightest. And mind you this isn't the new type of walls that cooperation makes, it's the old thick brick wall that brakes your hands.

'The fuck..' Norman lost his cool when he saw that, from the library in the house, he knew...humans can't get that strong, that was abnormal indeed.

The children's skepticism turned into astonishment as they witnessed Eddy's extraordinary display of strength. Ray, known for his shroud and skeptical nature, was the first to voice his thoughts.

"What... how did you do that?" Ray asked, his voice filled with disbelief.

Emma thought to herself in astonishment and...hope 'Maybe with his strength, this might work...'

Don also had his eyes wide open, however, unlike the others his thoughts went a different direction 'Can humans reach this power? Well, he did... So... I should be able to do it too...right?'

Edward, with a calm demeanor, started bullshiting "I have practiced countless days and nights to gain this power, all in the hope of one-day getting revenge on those damn creatures."

Eddy wanted to give them the impression of someone with a past similar to theirs so he made an entire story last night about his troubled history with demons, he even wrote down a random number around his waist to show them, he was once also a 'product'.

"But are we sure this is gonna work? I don't know how many demons are in there, can you take them all?" Don had doubts about this, although he witnessed the power Edward have, he wasn't sure he would be able to kill all the demons.

Before Eddy could respond, Norman explained first "No, Mr? Is right, they should have already found the bodies of the two demons he killed so they may have already sent some other demons toward this place, and if he is right about the location and geographic of this place, that would mean the number of demons in the entire 'facility' will max out at 40-60, so I can see this plan working, of course, it will all depend on how good Edward is in killing the demons, and how fast we can convince the children in the other farms about all this" In the middle of his talk, Norman realized they don't even know the name of Edward. "And your name is...?"

"You can call me Mr Barduk" he replied, trying to sound cool.

Ray, agreeing with Norman, chimed in, "It's a high-stakes plan, and we have to be prepared for the worst-case scenario. But if we don't try, we'll be trapped in this place forever."

"You're right," Edward said, his voice steady. "It's a risk we have to take. We may not be able to guarantee a completely smooth escape, but I promise you that I will do everything in my power to protect every one of you"

Of course, That was a lie.

If they encountered a situation where his life was threatened he will nope the shit out of this scenario, after all, his life to him was way more important than a bunch of kids.

"So when we will go? And...what will we do after running?" Emma asked, her voice filled with determination to save everyone and escape, her eyes shining with a light Eddy never thought he would see in real life, the light of a fucking shonen protagonist.

'What was I worried about anyway, these are the fucking protagonists, plot armor is on our side...' Only now he realized he have nothing to worry about regarding the children, they will make it. "Hmm, we will start this plan in thirty minutes, as for where will go after, there is a shelter left by some guy I forgot his name, it's an underground shelter so you will be safe there, now I need to grab some stuff I left in the woods, you guys gather what you need before we get going" He then walked out of the house to get his backpack.

Norman as responsible as ever, took charge. "Alright, here's what we'll do. We'll gather the necessary supplies and prepare ourselves for the escape. Emma, and Gilda, you'll take charge of convincing the children in the other farms about the truth once we reach them, Ray will hide our 'secret supply' although Mr Barduk appears nice we still can't trust him 100%"

Actually, they have already gathered everything they needed early on when Edward was asleep, now it was just checking and making sure nothing was forgotten.

"Ok"

"Alright"

...

His family Responded while he walked to Ray and asked "So what do you think?"

"I don't know, my original plan was vastly different than this, but I think it might work, we might still need a plan B if everything goes to shit"

Norman nodded before walking away.

...

Carrying his backpack Eddy was on his way to the house when a thought rooted itself in his mind "Hmm...why the constellations are silent...?"

There was no response to the question, now that he thought about it, aside from the scenario progression when he killed the two demons, everything regarding the system was silent.

So he called out loud "Attribute Window"

Nothing, no response whatsoever.

"The fuck?? Did these motherfuckers throw me here and left??" his mind instantly reached the worst-case scenario.

Luckily, a blue window popped out right then with content he didn't expect to see.

[All access to the System has been turned off by your Sponsor]

"What why?" He asked while a distressed thought occupied his mind 'I didn't expect a Sponsor contract to be so severe, I can see why Dokja never wanted one'.

[The Lord of the Sylver Throne has left a recording for you, do want to hear it?]

'He left something for me'? He thought in surprise before answering "Yea

["The bureau of Dokabies wants to buy the rights to start a scenario in this World, The negotiations are being carried using our true voices, you and the inhabitants of this world will die if you heard it, as compensation an additional award will be given at the end of the Scenario regardless of your success or failure"]

'What...' Eddy froze for a moment 'Yeah, how didn't I think about it before, Scenarios don't exist in Promised Neverland contrary to the original ORV as every world Dokja visited had Scenarios'

The amplification of that was astounding, this information solidified his belief.

The Lord of the Silver Throne had ways beyond the scenario!

This backer of his...

He should have realized earlier but everything happened too fast, to him it was just two days so he still needs a bit of time to adapt fully...

Edward then started wondering what would happen if all his future use of the Unusual Dungeon be in fictional worlds? Will all of them be turned into a scenario after he left? Or this world is special?

So many questions but no answer...

"At least I get a reward I guess" He decided to ignore this issue for now, he still has dozens of demons to kill and a bunch of genius kids to deliver.
