"I don't know, I think it must be really good for all the nobles and the rich to be addicted to it" Demon 2 replied drooling at the mention of the 'quality meat'.
"Don't imagine too much I was just asking, 'it' isn't for the likes of us" Demon 1 said before focusing on the road ahead as he was driving.
During the journey, they glanced multiple times at the trembling little girl in the back seat yet they didn't do anything although they wanted to.
Originally they were supposed to kill the girl using the Vida, however, they couldn't find it no matter where they looked so now they are taking the girl back to headquarters where it will happen.

Eddy was already inside the Gate right now, he was looking toward the demons in a strange way, one thought was going through his mind at the moment 'coins'
The Sub-scenario Demon Hunter acquired him to kill ten demons, and from what he is seeing, it won't be that hard.
'They are big and their claws are long, however, they appear to be slow...no, they can probably outrun a normal man yet they must have it hard in quick turns with those bodies, not to mention this closed and small passage, it will limit their movement, hmm, I can take them...' he concluded after some observation.
'Isabella will soon arrive with that girl...if she died (Conney) I will fail the main scenario...should I kill those demons?' he wondered quietly before refuting the idea ' If I killed them, the information will reach their headquarter in no time, but if I didn't I will fail the main scenario...No I don't need to kill them, at least not now, what if I...'
An idea came to his mind, he left the gate for a couple of moments before coming back with a rock in hand.

*Ding* the wall was made of metal so a lot of noise was made when the rock banged it.
"Hmm, what's that?" Demon 1 wondered and turned his head to Demon 2.
"I don't know, you go see" Demon 2 shrugged, not wanting to bother with anything but the mission.
"Why should I, you go" Demon 1 said in defiance.
"Sigh, let's just go together, it may be one of those inferior beasts" Demon 2 replied in surrender, blaming the guards in his heart for not doing their job, he will report them if it was a demonic beast, that's for sure.
And like that, they started moving to the noise origin.
'Idiots...' thought Eddy while listening to the two demons from under a truck, he could understand the language, although they were speaking Japanese it wasn't hard.
In his past life, Edward was an international Salesman so he was required often to be fluent in multiple languages.
Anyway, Making sure they left, he got up slowly and entered the truck, looking for that red flower they use to kill.
'Here you are' It didn't take long before he got it after all the trucks aren't that big, double checking if there is more or in the hope of finding something unique, he finally left and hid himself in a tree outside, waiting to see what would happen ' I hope they don't have an extra or I am gonna have to kill them and take the kids in such a dangerous manner'.
He was hoping that they don't do anything drastic or else this well get much harder, Eddy was not stupid, he had already made a plan to work this scenario and it will need the cooperation of the kids, and for that Emma and Norman will have to witness the demons.
Pulling one of the Vida's he examined it slowly, it was just like a spider lily from Earth except it had a rather sharp edge, poking his finger to it, blood came out 'Sharp'.
Considering his stats it was indeed a very dangerous flower 'This could be used in combat' he continued to experiment for a while until he heard a voice.
"Are you happy Conny-san, soon you will have a new family" a rather gentle voice came from close by.
"Aye, Mama" replied a cute voice.
'So her name was Conny...' Edward finally remembered the girl's name.
Eddy watched as the two figures, one big and one small approached the gate, and right before they reached it something unexpected happened.
"Sorry, Conny-san" With those words, and before little Conny could react, Mama Isabella knocked her out, she did so professionally like she already practiced hundreds of times before...
'At least she has a little mercy...' thought Eddy knowing what the fate of the little girl was if he hadn't taken those flowers.
Carrying her gently, Isabella entered the gate not noticing the shadow that was tailing her steps.
"Ah, Isabella-dono you came just in time" Demon 1 said trying to appear natural.
'Dono?' Isabella was a bit surprised, the demons never used such language with her, narrowing her eyes she asked " Is something wrong?"
Demon 1 eyed Demon 2 before replying "Ahh, you see Madam Isabella, w-we forgot to bring the vida's" his voice got lower and lower as he spoke.
'I sew they don't want me to report them...' Isabella was an intelligent woman she quickly figured out what they wanted so she said with a smile "It doesn't matter, mistakes happen, just make sure not to do it again"
Isabella understood the value of having relation with demons, especially these two that had always worked with her.
"Thank you, Madam Isabella, I will make sure not to repeat this" Demon 1 body felt a lot lighter when he heard her like an invisible pressure was released relaxing him, they couldn't just kill the girl, first of all, the vita was perfect in killing humans as it absorbed blood directly from the heart giving a clean and quick death and second of all, the vita had a certain symbolic value to the demons, they can't just abandon it or Demon1&Demon two will be punished.
Next, they chatted for some time not noticing Eddy nor noticing the two children that just entered the gate, one of them holding a bunny...
Hearing their talk, Emma almost first out screaming but she was stopped by Norman that covered her mouth.
Turning her head her eyes were in tears, she heard about Conny's close demise and naturally wanted to save her.
However, Norman shook his head and whispered with a heavy tone "We can't".
Holding back tears they stood still when the two demons took sleeping Conny and left, taking that chance they also left in a hurry, leaving the bunny inside...
'Seeing in it person is much more emotional' Wiping a tear from his left eye Eddy thought, although Edward Barduk appears aggressive and merciful less, he is not an evil man, the actions he took before and the ones that will most likely take in the future are solely driven by his will to survive.
Regaining his focus he checked his coin balance and after some contemplation, he spend some of what he had.

Shaking his head Eddy got up from his hiding spot and followed the Demons.

The demons, chatty as ever kept talking with each other, not caring about Conny who had waked up and almost pissed herself from fear...
A little behind was Eddy who was running at a speed that will leave Usane Bolt in shame, he could go faster but he was getting used to his now-improved senses so he slowed down a little.
It's to be noted that the Magic power consumption of heightened senses was quite heavy, from Eddy's observation it would stay active for about four hours before shutting down, the problem with that is, Heightened senses were a passive skill so the moment his magic power recovered it will automatically activate again.
'Hmm, I will need to prioritize magic power if I wanted this skill to stay up 24/7' he concluded after some thought, this skill will most likely hinder him for some time before his magic power got up.
'I have Lv10 magic power and it will stay for 4 hours, I need about Lv60 for it to stay active, and more than that to actually use magic skills...' Eddy realized that although this skill was fantastic, it also had some major drawbacks early on.
Getting these things out of his mind, he decided it was time for those demons to meet Jesus.
Accelerating until he reached the back of the truck he jumped and entered through the gab from behind.
"Hey, what's that?" Demon 2 said feeling the trembling from behind.
"I don't know, go check I am driving" replied Demon 1.
It's to be noted that the trucks are abnormally big so that large demons could drive them.
"Ok, I'll g-" Before he could finish his sentence, a blade pierced his head from behind, poking out from his gigantic middle eye.

Again it should be noted that Edward's machete is not just some normal thing, it was made from pure Tangitsan, Eddy is a billionaire, and all his items are of high quality.
Eyes wide Demon 1 turned around in disbelief, his partner was killed! And by a human nonetheless.
Before Demon 1 could respond, Eddy showed him what a high stat in agility means, pulling his blade from Demon 2 he wanted to decapitate Demon 1 but the latter leaned violently to the left making the machete hit him in the shoulder.
"Ahh!!" screamed the Demon in pain when the blade was twisted and taken by Eddy.
As a Non-idiot, Edward knew better than to stay in a car with an injured driver, he turned around, grabbed Conney, and jumped from the truck.
And as expected, a moment after he jumped the truck hit a tree.
Looking at the shivering girl in his arms Eddy said with the most cheerful smile "Hey, little one, can you stay here for a while? I lend you a treasure"
He brought her down, put his hands in his jeans, and pulled out a smartphone, clicking some things on the phone, a song started playing as he gave it to her.
"So what do you say, can I trust you with my treasure?" Still smiling he asked.
Conny looked at the man, then looked at the phone, and then nodded with a timid expression.
Edward turned to the truck, and as expected, the demon got out of it.
"You puny livestock! I will kill you!" screamed Demon 1 in madness as he ran to Edward.
Witnessing this sight, Eddy laughed wickedly, he raised his strength because he felt some resistance when he attacked them before then he charge forward at the beats of a great song.
