32 Training

<Master wake up! It's already late!>

"Mm... Just 10 minutes more..."

Shaa~

Mary and May came out of Sou's shadow and stared at saw with furious eyes.

"Wake..."

Both of them grabbed Sou's bed cover from both side sides.

"...up!"

"Uwah!"

Thump!

"What the hell was that for?!"

"You were not waking up, Master."

"You could be a bit gentle."

"Then you wouldn't have woken up."

(What are you, my maid?)

She was.

"Your sister is waiting at the door. She called you so many times but you didn't answer so she has been waiting for you to wake up since then."

"What?! Tell me that sooner."

Sou quickly grabbed his home robe and rushed to the door feeling extremely embarrassed.

"Brudher late!"

As soon as he opened the door, Lia pounced Sou with her head. She might have hit some vital points due to which Sou stayed on the floor, writhing in pain and his hands holding a certain part tightly.

(Fuck...)

The one who runs high-level dungeons on his own, who tamed a whole tribe of Dragons, the one who commands a whole army of mana beasts and monsters, was brought to the ground by a single strike from a 3-year-old girl.

(What... power...)

He writhed in pain for a few more minutes before getting up, still stumbling in pain.

"Lia... you should not pounce on your brother like that."

"Hm?"

"Whatever. So, why are you here?"

"Mama tell to come and eat bweakfast."

"Then, shall we go?" Sou showed the kindest smile he had in his arsenal and asked. The smile in my head is making my head go numb. Why was he like this?!

"Yes!" Lia grabbed Sou's hand and led him to the dining. A beautiful brother-sister moment.

[The dining of Hols Manor]

"Son, good morning!"

"Good morning mom and dad. Good morning to you too, uncle Lucio and aunt Celina."

"Good morning Sou."

"Moring Sou."

Sou glanced at Julia.

(Still emotionless as ever...)

"Good morning Julia."

"Mmhm."

A vein popped out from Sou's forehead.

(Not even a greeting!)

But Sou didn't say anything and quietly went over to his seat.

"Julia it's bad manners to not greet someone." Celina scolded her daughter while wearing an annoyed look.

(That's what I am talking about!)

"Good morning."

(At least face me when saying something!)

Slurrrp~

"Son, aren't you eating too much?" Sou's father asked when he saw his son gorging on the food without any restraints.

"It's been too long since I had something this delicious."

Even though there were hundreds of good food he could eat out while adventuring, he chose the 'monk-lifestyle'. After all, being a monk and not indulging in earthly things is the way to become truly strong. Or at least, that's what Sou thought of.

"Did you not eat properly?"

"It's nothing like that. I am like this since the beginning."

"Really?" Lily's expression dictated clear suspicion as she furrowed her brows and frowned at Sou. But Sou was not the kind of kid who would give in just by someone frowning at him, even if it's his mother.

"Really, mom. You don't need to worry." A radiant smile appeared on Sou's face, brightening everyone's face.

"Oh, Sou! Want to roam the city this afternoon? We are going out in a bit." Celina said in an ecstatic tone.

(Hmm... it's not a bad idea.)

"Fine by me."

And then they had their meals, cracked some jokes and then went to their respective works. Of course, Sou was left alone since he had nothing to do. He could run dungeons but it will raise suspicion if he were to disappear from the manor all of a sudden.

(What should I do now?)

"Let's train."

Sou left off for the training facility.

***

[Training Facility]

"Ha!"

A sound of a kid, somewhat feminine, echoed through the facility. The sound was heavy and... heavy but showed the efforts being put in by the person.

"Hup!"

"Hyah!"

"Hm?" Sou entered the facility.

(This brat... no wonder she was fast.)

"Oi bra- I mean Julia!"

"You were just about to call me a brat."

"Anyway, want me to train you?"

"Why?"

"I've got nothing to do and decided to train."

"Why train me?"

"Training you should count as training for me too."

"How?"

"The best way to train is to spar."

"I see."

Sou threw his shirt to the side, revealing his toned body, and started to wrap the hand wraps laying on a shelf on the corner of the facility.

"Why did you throw away your shirt? Are you a pervert?"

"Can't anything good come out out of that mouth of yours? Well, whatever. I did that because having fewer things on you makes it easier to train. But I can't take off everything 'cause you are here."

"Then I should also..."

Julia grabbed her top and jerked it, almost tearing it apart if not for Sou stopping her hands.

"What are you doing?"

"Taking my clothes off."

"Haa... despite having that smart look, you are actually an idiot right?"

"..."

"And I am not interested in a brat's body anyway."

Julia's cheeks puffed up and steamed in anger. She forced her hand out of Sou's grasp and moved away from him, still fuming with anger. Being insulted like that was enough for her rage to skyrocket. She was lady foremost after all.

(Wow... didn't think I'd ever see that face...)

"What?" Julia glared at the astounded Sou. As soon as he heard the animosity filled voice, his astounded expression broke into a mild smile.

"Nothing. Shall we start?"
