Side Chapter: The Great Monkey King System 1

BOOM! Crash!

A loud explosion rung out.

Thump! BOOM!

Another sound echoed. A figure was thrown through various planets and crushed into an orbiting void planet. He lay in the ground with a few shattered rips. Most of his internal organs had stopped functioning, and he was alive only because of the fact that he was like a god.

Well technically, Sun Wukong used to be the king of one of the demon Lord's vassals. Hailed as the strongest fighter in the demon realm, he experienced great honor. But then something happened.

He no longer wanted to be restrained. He wanted freedom! So he left the demon realm, becoming a fugitive. Of course the demon Lord sent people to capture him. It didn't end well for them.

Now the very being who was hailed as The Monkey King, laid down with severe injuries.

Fwish! BOOM!

A powerful man landed onto the ground. The one who was battling Sun Wukong. The dust cleared to reveal a handsome young man. He wore a golden suit of armor. His very presence radiated power beyond imagination.

Sun Wukong looked at the man who had just arrived. He clicked his tongue and struggled to get up.

"Hahahah! Are you really trying to continue fighting in this state? Is this what the great Monkey King has been reduced to?"

"You never ceases to surprise me Buddha. Anytime I believe you can't be more of a prick, you prove me wrong!" Sun Wukong said with a wide smirk.

Buddha narrowed his eyes at Sun Wukong. His expression became fierce and serious.

"You may not know this, but I have great respect for you, Wukong. After disagreeing with how the demons ruled, you left and decided to follow your own path. That's admirable. But I don't understand. Why? Why do you support a being that threatens our very existence. You know full well what the destiny of that brat entails!"

Sun Wukong stood there without saying anything. His beautiful golden fur was covered in golden blood. His tail moved about. A small smile grew on his lips.

"You wouldn't understand. But I will tell you this, as long as I'm alive, no one will lay a hand on the comatose Lenin Heartfield! You'd have to step over my dead body!"

Buddha shook his head sadly.

"Then step over you I shall"

His energy exploded. He moved so fast it was like he was controlling time itself. He approached Sun Wukong with a full powered punch.

Seeing this, Sun Wukong dodged to the left. He ducked under Buddha's arm, grabbed it and flipped him into the air.

Buddha, who had been tossed mid air, was shocked.

'What? What's this? Wasn't he out of power?'

He jumped into the air and stretched forth his hand.

"Ruyi Jingu Bang, come forth!"

Swish!

Moving faster than light, the staff of the monkey king whizzed through space time. Falling straight into Wukong's hand, it enlarged.

"Grrraaah!"

The golden staff smashed into Buddha. Buddha crushed into the ground, causing the planet to shatter.

"Humph! I am the monkey king, Sun Wukong! Did you think I'll be defeated this easily?"

Sun Wukong hovered in the empty space, staring at the shattered planet.

'Hah? Where's that bastard?'

Puchi!

Golden blood spewed from his mouth. Sun Wukong was shocked. He strained his head to look behind him. A dagger was stabbed straight through his heart. And the person to do that, was Buddha!

"You- you blocked the attack?" Sun Wukong said.

"I'm sorry it had to end like this great warrior. Your name will forever be remembered, monkey king" Buddha said with great sadness.

Due to Sun Wukong no longer having strength, his staff fell from his hand and entered the depths of space.

Slosh!

He pulled out his dagger, causing Sun Wukong to fall endlessly through space following after his staff.

'I'm sorry old friend, it seems I couldn't even protect you'

Sun Wukong thought as his eyes closed.

'Fool! You've already sacrificed yourself for me and you have the guts to say that!?"

A strong voice sounded in his head. Sun Wukong's eyes widened.

'Lenin? You bastard! Are you awake already? Are you healed?'

'No. I'm barely conscious. This just my divine will'

'I see. You punk, don't you know my daughter's been worried sick about you!'

'Hahaha! Is that so? That's what I love about her'

The monkey king's eyes twitched.

'Bastard! I'll kill you! Well, I'm not sure I can do that. Since its already too late for me'

Sun Wukong said solemnly.

Lenin's voice spoke out once again, but this time it was full of grief.

'I'm sorry. It's all my fault'

'Yes it is. So you better get up soon. This is goodbye then'

At this point, Sun Wukong shut his eyes as his life faded away.

'Do you think I'll just let you die like that? How would my wife feel knowing I let her dad die?'

Sun Wukong's eyes snapped open.

'This was my decision, it has nothing to do with Sun Yi-Lin! Just focus your power on recovering'

Lenin completely ignored him and said;

'I barely have any power left. I can't restore you body now. I can only save your soul essence, and even with that, I'd have to send you years into the past to prevent the laws of heaven from finding you. You'd have to be a parasite and live in someone else's body. I'm sorry that I can't do more'

With that Lenin's voice faded.

'Wait! Lenin! Doing that alone will consume the life force you have left! You fool'

But before he could say anything else, his soul was ripped from his body and flung into the past. His body then withered away.

2010, Republic of South Korea. Seoul.

Infront of an abandoned warehouse deep in a godforsaken forest, the body of a youth who looked to be in his teens lay on the ground. His eyes were lifeless and blood soaked his t-shirt.

The rain which fell on the body made it a more disgusting sight.
