Rest

'Ugh!'

'What just happened?'

'Is it over?'

The crowd murmured while they recovered from the blinding light.

Those who were powerful managed to recover very quickly. After a while, the people begun to take in the surroundings.

Gasp!

There was an audible gasp.

The crowd was shaken by the scene which had just played out. The arena was virtually destroyed. The ground had broken apart, while the barrier was on it's last legs.

Aina was restless as she immediately scanned the arena to make sure Lenin was okay. Matyr was just as worried. Even though she barely knew Lenin, she was the one who put him in this situation. She felt responsible.

"Where is he? I can't see him!"

"Calm down sis. Let us wait for the dust to settle down."

"Wait, I think I see him!" Matyr interjected.

"What! Where?"

Aina asked while shooting up from her seat.

"The-... There" Matyr pointed in a shaky voice. Her heart shook at the sight of Lenin.

Aina was no different. Brian looked at Lenin's figure with worry in his eyes.

'I was always trust you Lenin and this time is no different, so don't die on me'

On the other hand Freda was nonchalant. But her emotions were vastly different from her demeanor. She was worried about her son. Not because of how injured he seemed to be, but because of the entities that this battle had alerted.

She sighed and bowed her head. Her eyes were full of pain.

'I am sorry son. No matter how powerful I was, my power is still sealed. I can no longer protect you. They are coming for you and I can do nothing to stop it'

"Mum! Don't be so worried. I know you can't feel it because you are mortal but Lenin is fine. He is just injured" Trisha said to her mother in an attempt to comfort her. Little did she know that that is not the reason why she was unhappy.

She looked towards Trisha and smiled.

"I know"

She quickly looked away as if she was looking at Lenin. The truth was that tears were coming down her eyes.

'I am so sorry baby girl. Your brother may be destined to be a main character, but your destiny is much much worse and horrifying. It is all my fault. I was not a good mother'

Her heart ripped apart. Although she had suppressed Lenin's destiny for sometime, Trisha was a different matter. What the universe had planned for her was only a life of despair and war. One that was not worth living. And the reason for this was that, unlike Lenin who largely inherited most of his powers from his father, Trisha inherited from her mother.

This was why Freda blamed herself.

........

Master Vacto recovered from the shock of the battle. He was in disbelief at the show of power.

"Wh- what is this? Are these even first years? Their power is at the level of the third years. They might even be in the top 20! I knew they were strong but this is just... just...."

".... That's enough. Compose yourself. You are an expert"

Princess Swallow-heaven said firmly.

Princess Swallow-heaven looked at the arena.

'The outcome yet again surprises me"

She smirked.

"This year batch is really something"

........

Dust roamed through the arena. A figure stood upright without showing any signs of faltering. He had blonde hair which was covered in dust. His tracksuit was torn entirely leaving only his red jogger.

Deep injuries scarred his body marring the well toned structure of his body. His figure was as lanky as a girl's but surprisingly strong. Blood flowed from the injuries. His eyes were hazy as he tried to focus. This person was brutally injured.

It was Lenin! He looked at his opponent who stood opposite from him seemingly unharmed.

"Haah... Haah.... Haaah... You were strong" he said. He was barely able to mutter that.

Lanvris' head was bowed as he listened to Lenin. It seemed like he was unharmed. He smirked.

"Damn it... I really thought I'd win ya'know!"

He said with a cheeky expression.

Slosh! Posh!

Large injuries suddenly burst open all over Lanvris' body causing blood to spray out. They looked like large claw marks. He wobbled for a second, then fell to the ground.

Lenin looked at Lanvris' body which was on the ground.

"This.... wasn't..... a... win"

He muttered as he also fell to the ground.

The crowd stared at the situation that presented itself. Both opponents lay on the ground and had lost consciousness.

Princess Swallow-heaven got up from her seat and spoke out;

"This concludes the final round. The title of first year king has been claimed from Lanvris Secraf. As of now, Lenin Heartfield holds the title of first year king."

The crowd cheered. Princess Swallow-heaven continued.

"As you know, this tournament is not simply to rank the students. The upcoming youth tournament in the central plain is coming on, and we now have the people who will represent this eastern continent!"

As she said this the cheers grew even louder. Freedom country was always a proud country. They took pride in the fact that one of the powerhouses on earth was situated in their country. In a way, it became an obligation to the Immortal Institute to represent the whole continent during the the youth tournament.

Princess Swallow-heaven looked towards Ms. Fleek. Understanding the gesture, Ms. Fleek called the paramedics to take Lenin and Lanvris away.

.......

Far away from Freedom country. On the central plain or continent, there was a forest filled with dangerous monsters. Inside this forest, there was a particular place that showcased a large collection of mountain ranges. A few weeks had passed since the ranking tournament in Freedom country.

The mountains were dark and eerie. The whole mountain range contained poisonous and evil aura. The sky was pitch black.

Inside the largest mountain range, a big building was there. It was filled with individuals moving back and forth. It almost seemed like a sect. But one could easily tell that it wasn't a sect. This was due to the outfit of the people.

They all wore black cloaks. It seemed more of a cult. In the building, there was a very large block. It seemed to be the main hall of the cult.

Inside the main hall, a buff looking man with a white cloak sat on the high seat. Other elders sat lined up on his left and right. The elders wore pitch black cloaks with only a stream of white in it. It was almost like the man who wore the white was their leader.

The room was dimly lit. The atmosphere was heavy with demonic aura as these mighty figures sat together. Pillars were set up that supported the building.

The people seemed to be having a serious meeting.

"Elder Rave, how is the search for that boy going?" The man wearing the white asked. His voice was not loud but it carried a devastating power.

It was cold and eerie. It was almost like what a person felt in the presence of Princess Swallow-heaven.

An elder who looked a little old spoke up. He had white hair due to his age.

"We have located the boy, Demon Head Kai. He seems to be in Freedom country"

The man called Demon Head Kai nodded silently.

"Good. Immediately, send the assassination team and retrieval team to get him now. We can not afford to fail our supreme Demon diety."

"Yes! You are right Demon Head! This is the first time since our organization was formed that we have ever received a response from a demon. They even requested something from us!" An elder said with a fanatic expression.

"Wait!" A female voice rang out. It came from a short girl who also wore a black and white cloak, signaling that she was also an elder.

"What is it Mailen?" The Demon Head asked coldly.

"Demon Head, from the information we received, that boy will appear in the main land very soon. He will be participating in the youth tournament. This is a perfect opportunity. We don't have to waste resources and manpower to capture him, while we can just wait for him to present himself to us."

"Hmm..." The Demon Head thought about it. His hoody covered his face so no one could see his expression. The same for the elders.

"It seems reasonable, but that would be too dangerous. It would make it difficult since the security would be tighter." An elder said.

The small girl gave an evil and eerie smirk.

"When have we, The demonic cult, ever been afraid of a bunch of pests!"

She said as a dark aura radiated from her.

The Demon Head looked at her and then smirked.
