17 The War Ends

Berserker makes it in time to block Illyasviel but instead gets touched himself by the cursed arm of Assassin.

I immediately use my moonlight teleportation ability that I got from Crimson Moon instead of Runes since it is much faster. I appear above Assassin and turn his body into meat paste with the sheer force of my palm before he destroys Berserker's heart.

Berserker still stands while protecting Illya, even if his body is missing his heart. Everyone else is still a bit confused since everything happened so fast.

"Hey kid, let me join in on the fun."

I hear a voice from beside me as it attacks me with red demonic spear. Of course I knew he was coming from before, the unexpected one was the Assassin.

I deflect his spear and then punch his gut so his body flies towards the incoming arrow that is directed at Shirou from quite a distance.

I see, someone is plotting against Illya or me. Most likely person is Kirei.....well he is the only one to my knowledge who will do such a thing.

There is an explosion in the air where the arrow and Lancer hit each other.

"Damn it, who is this irritating brat that makes my back itchy from just his attack?"

Shirou breaks the silence that came after the explosion. Well I say Shirou but it's probably the Saber class Servant Muramasa Senji.

Anyway, I should finish this quickly so that no more unexpected events happen.

"Ugh....that was painful!"

I teleport in front of Lancer and give him an uppercut right below his jaw at a speed that is past the limits.

"Agh!"

Lancer goes in midair. Now let's start the combo.

Teleport. A punch to the face. Teleport. A kick in the spine. Teleport. A clap on the ears. Teleport. A kick in the balls. Teleport. A chop at the collarbone. Teleport. Punching the kneecaps. Teleport. Bitch slapping the face. Teleport. A punch on the butt. Teleport...and so on.

I continued this beat down for a total of 5 seconds, during which I hit him over a 100 times. He is feeling pain in all of his body parts. Of course, I didn't go overboard and kill him since that would actually burden Illya. Assassin is already enough.

Anyway, this beat down more for show to warn certain others to not interrupt me.

"Ugh...agh. Man, are.... you..... related to... Shishou by.... any chance?"

Wow, this man sure knows how to joke. Honestly, I have no idea how I compare to the legendary Scathach. But I am sure that technique wise, I should be quite inferior to her. Or maybe that's just because of many fanfics I have read that overhype her. She does have Primordial Runes though, so she should be quite powerful.

"All right, I admit defeat. I am not a masochist."

Lancer just sits down on the ground cross-legged.

"You guys should get away from here, before my Master arrives."

He tells us and I just nod at him.

Archer seems to have given up on us for now and is going back towards Tohasaka mansion.

"Miss Einzbern, I think we should deal with the Greater Grail before any more unexpected events happen. What do you say?"

That seems to wake Illyasviel from her stupor, Berserker has also recovered by now.

"It is as you say Shinji, this is no time to deal with other problems. Oh, and you can call me Illya, Shinji. I will give you that privilege since you are Onii-chan's friend."

"Yeah okay."

I just nod at that.

"So can you tell me how to enter the cavern?"

I ask her.

"Come here, I will show you."

She motions me to come closer and when I do puts her cold fingers on my temple and transmits information directly in my soul.

And I understand how to do it. It's not possible to enter that place physically currently, since it's in another plane but I can brute force it.

"Thanks Illya."

I then pat her head, and while doing that make her a perfect homunculus like my maids. I just correct her defects, I didn't change anything about her even though I could.

Illya realizes quite quickly what I did and hugs my waist.

"Thank you Shinji."

While this is happening, Shirou and Lancer are looking at me with weird eyes. And Caster just hits her fist on her palm and says "So that's it. I understand." while nodding to herself. Berserker of course just watches me with his expressionless face.

Why do I feel like these people are misunderstanding something here? Are these guys dumb?

"Caster, have you prepared the equipment?"

"Yes I have Shinji-sama."

"Then let's go."

I portal with Runes to the cavern.

I enter the cavern with Caster, Shirou, Illya and Berserker and then close the portal.

After some walking and talking among the group, we enter a large open space at the end of which the Greater Grail is present.

But all of us can clearly see that it is corrupted. It's appearance looks like a corrupted monolith. In front of it unexpectedly stands a man wearing priestly robes.

"So you have finally come, Matou Shinji."

"Kotomine...Kirei."

"Indeed, I was wondering what was the unknown factor that was opposing me but I never imagined that it would be you Matou Shinji or should I say Zouken possessing the body of Shinji?"

What the hell? Is he misunderstanding something? Well to be honest I don't care if he does misunderstand.

The people who came along with me look weirdly at the priest but he continues his monologue.

"I wouldn't have imagined such a possibility, but Angra Mainyu gave me a revelation some time ago about the cause of my unease and made me come here to protect it through our connection. So I am here-"

I just pierce his body with over 10 weapons from my Gate of Babylon.

"You talk too much."

"....what?"

Frank disbelief is present on Kirei's face. And he dies off like that.

"Caster, start analyzing the Greater Grail."

With the equipment we prepared, Caster starts analyzing the Grail. I also start doing it, but the Grail starts getting restless.

"Caster, did you get enough data?"

"Yes we have enough to make one of our own."

"Alright then, get back."

The others make a bit of a distance from me and the monolith.

I use the Key to retrieve Ea from the depths of the Gate.

And then I use the Sword of Rupture on the monolith.

"Enuma Elish!"

Everything targeted by the attack gets destroyed almost immediately as soon as it comes into contact with the attack.

Suddenly!

I see portal forming with myriad colours forming beside me, and an old man pops out of it.

I know these chapters were a bit chaotic to read and you might not have understood some events but that's fine. You can ask for clarification from through comments.

My mind is currently a bit chaotic because of two main reasons. One is that I am still sick, hence there were no chapters for a few days. And two, I just binge read Chainsaw Man a bit earlier before I wrote these two chapters. Initially I was planning to write Chainsaw Man as the next Verse but I suppressed that thought halfway through. After all that story has too many variables so I don't want to ruin it. My plan was for something like Nuclear Devil but that went down the drain, because of certain things.

Anyway enough about that, this Fate part is ending next chapter. And we are going to next Verse after that. I still haven't decided on the next one so suggestions will be appreciated. Also this isn't the end for Nasuverse or anything. I have some future Fate and Tsukihime arcs planned, these chapters were supposed to be a foundation more than anything something like a prologue you know. That's why I didn't do some heavy plot. Though I still don't think, I will ever do heavy plot.
