10 Changes with Time

An arrow whooshes through the air and hits the target dead center. Of course, I am not using any kind of magecraft for this sort of thing. I am just that ridiculously good at Archery. It's weird I know.

If I knew about this, why would I waste my time using sword and spear? When I can just use bow and arrow like Heracles. Well I can only regret it, I should have noticed that my aim was unusually spot on whenever I used that holy conversion gun for the first time.

"I hope my performance didn't displease you, my respected captain."

I say in a mocking voice fully displaying my superiority over her. Honestly it only took a month for me to surpass her and I didn't even take system support for that. And by now, I am pretty sure that I am one of the best archers at junior high level in the country. Of course I can't be sure since I haven't competed personally with them.

It's 6th November, 1999, a Saturday afternoon. And we are having archery practice. Shirou is also pretty good at Archery, only second to me. After that, the next best at Archery would be our captain Mitsuzuri Ayako and then the vice-captain Matou Sakura, my little sister.

"Yeah yeah, so why don't you become the captain, Shinji? You are clearly superior to me."

Ayako brushes off my comment easily, and even wanted to drag me into the pit she is in just so that she could escape from it. What can I say? It is pretty annoying to be on the receiving side of such shamelessness.

"No no, how can I take that honor away from you? You are the one who rebuilt the Archery club from its unpopular days. So it would be inappropriate for me to become captain while you are in the club."

"Tch."

I can hear a "so cool!" in a whispering voice but I ignore it and go towards the changing room to get out of that Archery uniform and go home.

While I was changing in the changing room, I could hear Ayako trying to convince Shirou to take away her captain position. But Shirou somehow dodged that bullet in a much more subtle way than mine.

The reason Ayako doesn't want to be captain anymore is because of how popular the club has become following our registration. Sakura is quite merciless with Ayako for some reason, so she dumps all the major responsibilities on her. No I know the reason, I am just in denial for now.

After leaving the changing room.

"I am heading home. See you on Monday, captain!"

"Yeah....sure."

Comes a dispirited reply.

"I'm leaving as well Mitsuzuri-senpai, take care."

Says a voice from right behind me.

"Matou you are leaving too!"

"Yes I have fulfilled my duties as the vice-captain so there is no real reason for me to stay any longer."

Sakura says in a firm voice, but Ayako can't really complain since Sakura does help her at crucial moments.

"...okay." is her only reply. I also see Shirou slipping away quietly so that Ayako doesn't see him. And my lips couldn't help but twitch at that.

'Did I corrupt him too much?'

Anyway we head to the Matou mansion that has become our home for more than a year now.

As soon as we enter the mansion, we are greeted by the three homunculus maids that I created to handle the chores in the mansion and also to maintain the boundary field.

Honestly, Heaven's Feel has much more applications than I initially thought. I created these homunculi by combining the EX ranked transmutation skill that I bought through system and Heaven's Feel that has perfect soul manipulation capabilities.

I created them from my own genetic sample, so in a way these maids are my clones. Wow that's a weird thought, now that I think about it.

But Heaven's Feel's manipulation makes that initial genetic sample not that important so it's fine. They are not really my clones, otherwise they would be male. Honestly, I don't really understand Heaven's Feel it's beyond biology so it's obvious.

Anyway, about the maids. Their names are Yuri, Nabe and Hayasaka. They are absolutely loyal to me their creator it's in their soul. After all their souls were created by me.

Yuri is my first creation, she is the leader of the maids and is responsible for them. She is also in charge of the boundary field and defense of the mansion. For the outside world, she is also my guardian since my father is no longer here.

Nabe is my personal maid and 2nd creation. She helps me in everything and is also a capable assistant that manages my workshop and research.

Hayasaka is Sakura's personal maid and my 3rd creation. She also helps her in her workshop.

By the way, just as an aside, when I completely healed Sakura I asked her if she wanted to have me return to her original appearance since I could, to which she vehemently denied by saying that it would be weird if her appearance suddenly changed.

But I reassured her that she doesn't need to be concerned about that since I can just hypnotize the entire city and that nobody would notice this change. After that the real reason came out from her mouth.

Basically, she wanted to no longer be part of or be associated with her original family that was Tohsakas because they abandoned her. And while, this different colored hair reminds her of her painful past it also signifies closer bond between us and she wanted to maintain that. At that point, I was like whatever since it was her choice if she wanted to do it or not so I honored her intentions.

But I would be lying to myself if I said that her reasons didn't make me happy because they totally did.

We then separated, Sakura went to her room with Hayasaka following her and I went to mine with Nabe following me.

"Nabe how is the production of firearms going?"

"There are no problems. We will be able to meet Fujimura Group's demand on time."

Yeah that's right, I became an arms dealer with Fujimura Raiga as a middleman after I got to know Fujimura Taiga through Shirou. This way, I can at least have a stable income for a few years. After all I couldn't just use my system points for everything. I mean I could but would be a waste, it's better to be self-sufficient you know.

Anyway let's check my status for now. I am developing a move with Heaven's Feel as a base but it is taking a long time to be complete. It's too overpowered so I am just perfecting with just the right amount of restrictions on it because even the root rejected it when I was going for without restrictions.

How do I know Root rejected it? Well it's an inexplicable feeling, I can't really explain it.
