24 20th Floor!

"So what did they want me to do?"

I ask her while wearing the specially prepared robe for myself by FUG. Honestly I don't mind these robes much because they just give this Sith Lord vibes to them and I love it! While wearing the robes, I take a glance at the beautiful scenery behind me that I am so familiar with now.

Of course, it's a naked Hwaryun that is starting to wear her clothes with some redness on her face. After all we just had another one of those splendid nights. (A/N: Readers you don't need to thank me for not writing cringe R18 chapters.)

"They wanted you to show your prestige as a Slayer Candidate in this Test at 20th Floor by not allowing any other Regular aside from you pass this Test. I am sorry my lord for their audacity! But what will you do? Will you still pander to their whims, my God?"

Hmm I see, it seems my idea for being a bit low key made these Elders from FUG feel like they can control me huh? After all, aside from my Master and Hwaryun nobody understands the true extent of my current strength.

In the past five and a half years of training, I have reached an unimaginable level of power than I initially planned.

Let's check my new overpowered status for a second.

If they dare threaten me with killing "my friends" they should be ready for dealing with consequences of that threat. If they actually do that, before fighting Jahad or any other Family Heads. I will make it my personal mission to erase FUG from the Tower. After all it's easier."

Yup, I have had enough of their shit. Seriously, what is Luslec dude even thinking letting me be ordered by these old fogies(Elders) when he himself was a subordinate of "my" biological father. I mean I am baffled that I am not being treated like a young master of the organization and rather its chess piece.

So why should I care so much about this trivial mission that has no great consequence. It will just generate more hate and fear towards FUG.

"Are you sure, my God?"

"Yeah, tell them that. It's time I let myself loose."

Her mouth opens wide with surprise and then forms into a mesmerizing beautiful smile. That eyepatch is cute too.

"As your will."

She bowed deeply and then quickly wore her clothes, while I wore my black robe with red eye like designs.

After wearing her clothes she goes out of the room, probably to communicate and also to leave the room for myself. I then tied my long hair with a rubber band to make a ponytail.

I then checked my Arms Inventory by making it enter Visible Mode and then lifted Rebellion from it and swung it a few times then I put it back. I strengthened with my Runes and I was pleasantly surprised when it's Rank was raised due to my actions.

Well it's not as surprising as awakening Flame Shinsu Quality, when I started practicing Evankhell Style Shinsu Control for Orb training.

Anyway, if I go all out right now. I think my burst damage will reach the level of weak High Rankers. And I can probably hold off against them for a few seconds. Of course stronger High Rankers like Yuri will steal easily beat the shit out of me if I fight her. This is just my estimate from the fighting experience I got from sparring with my Master, Jinsung Ha who is Ranked 69 in this Season's Rankings.

Let's go and see what happens in this Test, I really wonder if I am going to encounter some familiar situations?

This is a significant point in my life inside the Tower since after this series Tests on this Floor, I will have qualification of an E Rank Regular and also be able to move to the Middle Area of the Tower. Not that it matters but it does expand my working area in case I need to hide for a while due to strong enemies.

I am currently inside a waiting room right before the first Test for E Rank Qualification. It looks like the announcement for it will be soon.

I see, this Test feels really familiar. I wonder if my hunch is correct. Also this Test favors those who enter later a lot but it's not like it's necessary to fight to survive in this Test. Everyone can just be passive and they will pass but I don't think many people would think that way, since the rivals would be more in the next test. Not that it really matters to me.

After waiting for around 9 minutes.

And the room opens into a white room with a big pillar in the middle with three random dudes arguing with each other. One of them is a giant bald muscular man, the other one is medium sized with dark green hair and the last one is scrawny and has white hair. I won't describe them more than this since I have a feeling they won't survive this chapter.

"I like to fight alone!"

"But isn't it better to...."

Like I said their argument was as meaningless as their existence so I just decided to ignore them and prayed for their life expectancy. Since if they just stupidly provoke me, their end will be worthless too.

After more than two and a half minutes of arguing they notice me. They look surprised since they actually didn't notice my presence before.

Just as around 10 seconds were remaining for the next Regular to come in. They did something stupid, which I still don't understand why. They attacked me.

Needless to say, the result was expected. In a fraction of a second, I slashed them on their necks with my newly created Shinsu Sword. I didn't use Rebellion since I don't really need it to deal with anyone below Ranker level.

They stopped mid stance like they were surprised and horrified at the same time. And a second later, their heads fell off their necks and rolled on the floor of the room. Somehow this scene looked a bit beautiful to me. I understand the appeal of quick draw in swordsmanship every time I see a scene like this.

While I was thinking like this with a neutral expression on my face. The door opened for a new participant. And it was someone quite familiar.

It is a yellow eyed, blonde-haired guy with a mole under his right eye. He is wearing a jump-suit like clothing, with a green jacket on top. He has red protrusions behind his ears. Anyway he isn't a jade beauty so that's the end of his description of appearance.

He jumped out of the lift like entrance to the room with his eyes closed and shouted.

"Come at me, you bastards! I'm the Big Dog around here, Wangnan!"

But then when he opened his eyes and saw the heads rolling on the ground. I could see surprise, horror and many other feelings on his face. But then he composed himself in a second. And started to say something funny.

"Hey you. Nice job beating these three. But do you think you can beat all of the Regulars that will be coming?

"Don't be stupid. Let's become partners. It doesn't matter how many of us will survive after 30 minutes, so let's eliminate the rest of the Field together."

This guy says funny things and is desperate to live so it's fine to let him live right? Also he doesn't have that useless mob vibe so there's that too. I will kill him if he annoys me though, have I become too bloodthirsty? I don't know, but my training was brutal enough to change my mindset I guess.

I just silently turn my back to him and move towards the giant pillar and then sit down while leaning at it with my back.

The guy named Wangnan follows and sits down beside and tries to start a conversation with me but honestly I have no interest in him and I am not here to build some friendship with a random guy who isn't a mob. If it was a beautiful girl then I might consider talking but for a guy it isn't worth the effort considering how far apart we are in terms of strength. This guy doesn't seem to be a clever person like Khun either, nor does he have an Ancient bloodline like Rak so it really isn't worth it.

"Where are you from? One of the Great Families?

"What's y-your name?"

After 3 minutes of meaningless one sided chatter. A new participant enters.

Wangnan tried to hype me up to attack the new guy but I ignored him. He tried to attack the guy himself when he saw a giant man with an angel like on his right side, he just asked giant man to become partners with him too. To which the giant man easily agreed. It seems his name is Horyang. I forgot a lot about this huh. Well it has been a long time since I read the original story. Around 20 years now.

This tomfoolery of participants entering and being accepted continued like this.

First there was a little cute girl that Wangnan couldn't bear to harm. Her name was Miseng from what I heard.

Then there was this ordinary looking lady that wears glasses who was about to be attacked by frustrated Wangnan. But apparently this lady was the adopted sister of Miseng. And it also seemed apparent that Horyang was attracted to her. The man's tastes are incomprehensible to me but who am I to judge? Her name was Goseng by the way.

There was some drama after that which lead to Miseng crying and Wangnan feeling awkward after venting his frustration over how we didn't fight. But since it was amusing, I didn't interrupt them.

And then a gangster looking dude with a golden earring on one ear entered. I remembered him the clearest among everyone here because of how important he was in a flashback during Bam's fight with a certain sword wielding Slayer. His name was Arkraptor if I didn't remember wrong. He had a daughter that was taken away from him since his wife was from the Great Families probably. It was an important backstory, similar to a certain rapper.

This Arkraptor guy said some shit about there being too many rivals and that we should vote for the ones we want out of here to prevent bloodshed and to safely reduce competitors by democracy. Honestly, the idea itself was funny to me since the Tower is a merciless and cruel place where survival of the fittest reigns supreme.

They started their voting game and I ignored them.

When asked me for a vote, I didn't say anything. They were a bit confused and waited just like that.

And the next participant entered at that moment, it was an ugly ass random dude.

"Damn! Why are there so many of you left?!"

His voice grated on my ears and I was a bit annoyed. But I didn't attack him since he didn't have bad intentions towards me.

"What is a brat like you doing here?! Why don't you go back and suck milk on your mommy's t...!"

What the actual fuck! Did this guy have a death wish? Well if he had one, I fulfilled it since I created a really long sword with Shinsu and slashed his neck on a reflex while sitting and leaning on the pillar.

A second after my slash, his head rolled off from his neck and everyone else was surprised at this.

"What just happened?!"

"What the hell..!"

"Am I dreaming?"

"Holy shit!"

"Is that symbol for real?!"

Anyway their reactions to this act were amusing to see.

Again, you don't need to thank me for not giving you cringe lemons. Anyway, timeskips will slow down a bit after this chapter but it is Tower of God so there will be smaller timeskips.

Anyway, here is how the Regular system works in this fanfic. I copied a part of it from another fic since Tower of God isn't really complete and the story at max covered 52nd Floor so yeah.

Floor 1- only for Irregulars (ones who opened the door and entered the Tower from outside)

Floor 2 to 20- F Rank Regular

Floor 20 to 34- E Rank Regular

Floor 34 to 49- D Rank Regular

Floor 49 to 70- C Rank Regular

Floor 70 to 100- B Rank Regular

Floor 100 to 134- A Rank Regular

Rankers are beings who passed the test on Floor 134 of the Tower. But there are different levels among Rankers according to their rankings and they are as follows. As an aside, there are around 100,000 Rankers in the Tower but it isn't much considering Tower has trillions of beings living in it.

Low Rankers- Ranks 50,000 to 100,000

Mid Rankers- Ranks 10,000 to 50,000

Advanced Rankers- Ranks below 10,000 (Top 10% Rankers)

High Rankers- Ranks below 1,000 (Top 1% Rankers)

Anyway, I think that was enough explanation, and hopefully a good chapter. Also I would like to say that currently MC is not interested in Hwaryun romantically yet, even if he has had that with her. He appreciates her devotion but that's the level of it for now.
