60 Chapter 61 - Smooth Criminal

Standing before him was a man in his late twenties with an unnaturally pale skin which can be easily confused as being unhealthy and sickly, curly black hair, and sharp, almond shaped eyes.

His pupils are vertical, like cat eyes, and colored plum red. And the figure was wearing a white fedora with a red ribbon and a somewhat extravagant outfit, and the figure took off his white fedora.

This man was Muzan Kibutsuji whose goal was to conquer his weakness against the sun. After many years continuously making demons and finding the medicine had led him to where he is now.

He was there in hopes to find a demon that could conquer the sun and devour that person to finally live freely. Breezely walking up to the mountain being basked in the moonlight halted his movement a few dozen meters away from the house.

A young man came out that made him raise a frown looking at his clothes and immediately knew that he was a demon slayer. He had long pitch black hair and a seemingly glowing red eye that made appear like a demon.

Muzan tried to recall who he was until it struck him. It was recent news that countless were rapidly declining but didn't care as long it wasn't his upper demons.

"Jesus, you really look like Michael Jackson."

As he was about to speak the young man gave a remark that made him blank at the demon slayer and was confused who's the person he mentioned.

"Michael Jackson? Who is that?"

"A smooth criminal but putting that aside, you're I presume Muzan Kibutsuji? the Demon Slayer Corps is crazy finding you for a century now."

Muzan was taken aback that someone was able to know his identity at glance despite hiding his best in the shadows. He even placed curses on his demons in case they spoke his name.

"My my? I guess you're here to kill me, Demon slayer?"

He produces tendrils behind his back preparing to slaughter the people around him. It moved at a blinding speed, slashing its way to Ryuu who remained at his spot before vanishing into thin air, shocking Muzan to the core.

"Kill you? No, that would be too easy."

A whisper came behind him causing every cell in his body to shiver in fear and tried to attack him but once again vanished from where he was before appearing in front of Muzan.

Muzan was confused how can a human move that quick enough where he is unable to see nor react to what happened. Ryuu narrowed his gaze, shrouding himself in a miasmic aura that was enough to make the demon before him step back.

"You've killed innocent for what? How can you trample life on those who live in peace?? Losing someone precious to you is an indescribable pain that you monster won't ever understand."

Ryuu's Demon Slayer spread through his neck like a disease devouring his flesh as if it hated the flesh. He was hypocritical since he had killed humans without remorse and would continue to do so in order to make his loved one happy.

He'd learnt that in that world only those with power could safely live happily and those who do not are trampled by the strong. Ryuu learns of it after seeing another demon slayer dying and losing their life because of demons.

Regardless, as much as he wanted to kill him, it was better by the hands of Kagaya who had been healed and trained with the other Hashira. Ryuu was confident that Muzan would hide to form a plan once he showed true fear.

Muzan could see the vision of the Sun Breather overlap with the young man before him and felt his body wanting to run away but his pride couldn't let him without inflicting pain.

"But I know my words won't reach you, monster."

Ryuu places his hand at the hilt of his blade causing Muzan to intercept him from unsheathing his weapon. His tendrils were inches away from Ryuu when a sensation similar to immense heat sliced through his flesh.

"Eight Form - Summer Drought."

He spun his blade making a series of slashes and cuts that produce an effect similar to a drought. Muzan winced in pain and immediately regenerated his lost limb to continue the attack in all directions.

"Fifth Form - Raging God Wheel."

Ryuu made a rotation using his chained blade that sliced through every incoming attack before locking his eyes with Muzan who was extremely frightened.

"Ryuu are you alright!!?"

"What's going on here!?"

He heard Kie and Nezuko called out, turning around to see that the rest of the Kamado awoke from the noise.

"I'm alright just stay inside and let me handle this monster."

Ryuu deflected whatever Muzan threw at him, who was annoyed that he wasn't treating him as a threat. Meanwhile, Kie was afraid when fought the monster before him and even though he was on the winning side was worried about him.

She wishes that there's a way for her to have the power to help him fight but she isn't suited as a fighter. The same thought came from Nezuko who wished to have the power to help him and had a strange feeling that she had hidden power deep within.

"Go, Ryuu-Nii! Kick his butt!!"

"Yeah, defeat that monster!! I know you will win!!"

They all cheered Ryuu who smiled before turning his attention to Muzan who was still confident in winning. Ryuu noticed how he was trying to capture Kie and Nezuko and was infruriated.

"I was going soft on you but you'd dare try to lay a hand on my woman?"

Ryuu began to twirl the chains at a high speed taking deep breath staring intently to Muzan and used another form.

"Tenth Form - Leviathan fang."

He executed an upward and downward slashed that made an illusion of a mighty sea monster appear, sending Muzan up in the air and from back down by the other chain.

"Fourth Form - Black Plague."

Ryuu performed three forms at once stabbing and slicing through Muzan's body who couldn't react quick enough and was on his knees trying his best to hold his neck intact.

He knew that Muzan was down for good and cause to have PTSD. Ryuu narrowed his gaze looking at the pitiful demon as he quivered non-stop.

"How does it feel near death's doorstep? Immortally? Don't make me laugh, nothing is immortal, everything eventually dies, even concepts."

Ryuu mockingly said but it goes deafs ear Muzan still trying to comprehend what had just happened. He couldn't believe a human had made into such a state and was more monster than the Sun Breather.

"Now run! Live!! I shall show you even where or what you do would eventually die and fall!"

Muzan gritted his teeth and moved in blinding speed vanishing from Ryuu's sight, printing the fear of death. One thing was in his mind and that was to prepare for the endgame.

Ryuu saw him vanish and sighed wondering if his decision was correct but trusted his intuition enough. Furthermore, Muzan is a coward and would try his best to hide while preparing for the inevitable.

He smiled at the notification and turned around only to be hugged tightly by the two women. Ryuu was a truly lucky man to have multiple women attracted to him.

Ryuu wonders if Justice had told him in a way where it doesn't include alcohol then he would have accepted it right there and then. Unfortunately, he was a coward at that time but now he is better and mature.

"No need to worry, I wasn't harmed. So please stop looking at my face for any cut."

Nezuko wondered what kind creature capable of sprouting tendril behind their back and moving at tremendous speed along with regrowing lost limbs at rapid pace.

The children imitated Ryuu making feel like a proud father for some reason being copied by the children. He only smiled, patting their head and was thankful that they were frightened.

"Hahaha really now? That makes me happy, Takeo, Shigure."

Once everything calmed down, they went inside and were confronted by the two women wanting answers for what had happened.

"Tell us the truth, who are you really?"

"Don't worry, Ryuu, we won't care who might really be. We just want an answer."

Ryuu only sighed at how the whole day was eventful from Wild mercenaries to Muzan Kibutsuji arriving much earlier than expected.

"I'll tell everything once you meet my other lovers alright? And if you decided to leave me then that is your chance because if you still want to be with me then I won't ever let you go."
