Chapter 175 - Shinjuku Raid 2

Ryuu was pissed off and forgot that he was holding back and poured his power into the weapon while using the [ corruption magic ] causing the enormous just to freeze up feeling an intense dread as he executed a quickdraw.

"Third form, War Slash."

He performed a series of slash that cleaved the giants in vertical slashes that created a small ravine on the ground and parted the clouds in the process. Justine whistled watching the scene while Trese shook her head seeing that Ryuu forgot to hold back. 

'This is troublesome, a magical beast that can be on Kamish level and I did it alone. The last time we killed the Monarchs and Ant king there wasn't any national rank hunter present so they couldn't get the estimated strength of the beasts but this time it is different.' 

He thought as he looked at the gate for about 10 minutes and there was no monster coming out so the only one remaining is Legia who has been sealed by the Rulers.

"Are you alright, Tawata?"

Ryuu stared at her, who was in a daze just staring at him, then blushing as she stood back up.

"I'm fine, thank you for saving me."

"Of course why won't I save my woman?"

"Who said I'm your woman!?"

Tawata punching but he easily evades while blushing at his remarks and Ryuu grinning.

'She's so cute…god especially her pigtail.'

Ryuu inwardly thought and before long he turned back his attention to the Gate.

"Ok, get to the mining team to mine the mana stones there won't be any more monsters coming out only the boss is left now,"

 He said to Goto who was close by.

"T-that thing wasn't the Boss?"

He asked while sweating profusely. How can something so powerful not be the final boss!?

"If it was, the gate would've disappeared." 

He shook his head at the obvious remark.

"I'll go ahead and check on the boss room first so you can wait first then send the mining team inside after they are done we will have a rest and then attack the boss room."

He said while looking at everyone as they nodded and went towards the gate to check on the room where Legia was sealed.

"I'll come with you, Ryuu." 

He heard Kanae and looked at her.

"Ok, then follow me." 

He nodded with a smile as she followed 

behind him. They entered the gate and appeared in a large hallway that went straight for about 60 Kilometers and there was a door at the end of the hallway.

"Well there isn't much to see here it is just a straight route here,"

He said and then felt her hug me from behind.

"What happened to Y-"

He wanted to ask her but.

"Just shut up and don't move." 

She said as her hands that were holding his waist were trembling. Ryuu understood the reason for sudden affection since she always died by that monster. 

Even though she obviously got stronger doesn't mean she would be able to fight against a Kamish level monster in a short amount of time. 

"Ok, but don't you think this is the other way around," 

He said as he put his hand on her hands to calm her down.

"Don't mind the small stuff." 

She said as she hugged him tightly. Heshook his head as he stopped moving and she rested her head on my back. After 10 minutes Tawata stepped away.

"So you've calmed down now?" 

He asked her as he turned around and looked at her.

"Yes." 

She said with her back facing me. He couldn't help but chuckle and wanted to tease her but held himself and they checked the whole place for traps and hidden rooms but they didn't find anything.  this place has been awfully quiet.

Hethought as he exited the gate there were a lot of mana stones here so the mining team doesn't have to worry as the stones are near the entrance.

"Ok then let's go back and tell the mining team to work."

He said to Kanae who nodded and walked towards the gate. They reached the place where the mining team was and told them to go inside without worrying. The hunters outside have finished cleaning up the corpses of the giants and they are currently resting for the boss battle.

Kie was healing the wounded hunters while the others were busy chatting. They went to Ryuu and hugged him with Nezuko flexing at how many she killed. Ryuu just chuckled at her and patted Nezuko. 

"Yo, can you spare some time?"

He heard a loud voice from his left and saw a huge man with blonde hair wearing a Hawaiian shirt and shorts. And a handsome man with long black hair tied in a ponytail.

"Sure, why nor"

He said while looking at them and then we went towards the room they were previously in. He sat down and took the glass of wine that was given to me by the beautiful blonde-haired woman who was standing inside. He placed it on the table and looked at them.

"Nice to meet you, Cinco my name is Liu  Zhigang. You can call me Zhigang. I do hope you understand my words"

The man with long black hair said.

"Yeah I understand multiple languages.."

He nodded at him and looked at the Blonde haired man who said.

"My name is Thomas Andre. I am the guild master of the Scavenger guild. Just call me Thomas."

He said as he grinned. 

"My name is Laura and I am the guild secretary of Scavenger guild. A pleasure to meet you." 

The beautiful blonde-haired woman who is wearing a business suit said as she bowed.

[ A/N: No, she won't be added sick f*ck! I am already having hard time with the current girls ]

"Nice to meet you both, My name is Ryuu Cinco. You can me Ryuu." 

He said with a smile.

"So what did you want to talk about?"

Ryuu asked them.

"It was about the monster you just defeated. Do you know the level of that monster?"

Thomas asked as his face became serious.

"No, I don't,"

He said while shaking my head as he took a sip of the wine. Pretending that he doesn't know when he already had Kamish in his army. 

'What a fine wine.'

He nodded tasting the red wine.

"That magical beast was on the level of Kamish. The monster that came out of the first S-rank gate and slaughtered many S-rank hunters." 

Zhigang said with a serious expression.

"Then the last seven S-rank hunters fought it together and defeated it and those hunters were later given the title of National rank hunters." 

Thomas said with a wide grin.

"I know that. I am sitting in front of two national-rank hunters. So why are you telling me this?"

He asked.

"Because the world is going to welcome the 8th National Rank hunter," 

Thomas said with a smile and Zhigang nodded.

"You have defeated a monster that was on the level of Kamish alone. That shows your power and I am very certain that we don't stand a chance against you after you've done that." 

Zhigang pointed at the sky with Thomas and Laura outside the window as well.

They saw the dark red sky had been parted into two.

"Damn, I didn't see it before." 

Thomas shouted with excitement and Laura had her mouth hanging open.

"Well, what is bugging me about this dungeon is that there is still the boss monster left. What type of beast is it going to be? It is more powerful than the one you defeated." 

Zhigang said seriously.

He felt the mining team come out of the gate. And Goto went inside? 

'What is he doing? did he go to patrol the area? 

While he was thinking Thomas broke out of his excitement as he sat down.

"Yes, this is serious. We have already told the Japanese government about this situation and we are going to participate as well the Japanese government has agreed 

to pay us according to our fees but we already told them to not cut your pay or rather increase it."

Thomas said with a serious face and then laughed.

"Well, I don't mind you guys helping me out," 

He said and stood up.
