Chapter 36 - Torture Commence

A week passed since he had started training with Shinobu. Ryuu relatively improved every aspect of himself every training that had occured. The control over his breathing allowed to lessen the waste of energy when striking.

His training wasn't heavily focused on sparring Shinobu and had some other forms of training from improving his senses by blindfolding himself and running a specific mountain that had numerous spikes and traps similar to Tanjiro's training.

It was intense that he almost died a few times due to being overwhelmed by his senses. He realized that despite his improved senses hadn't acquired the ability to hear specific sounds and smells.

Ryuu's instinct sharpens every trial and error that Shinobu thought he had already done before.

His strength and technique gradually sharpen to the point he is able to deflect and land blows to Shinobu who had an [ Aura (Rwby) ] around her including her weapon.

She was able to quickly adapt to the unique ability to have the same principle as Breathing technique but draw out the energy from their soul. It made her keep up with Ryuu's monstrous strength and improve herself along the way.

Both grew to know each for the past week and both unknowingly started to talk rather casually.

Ryuu even thought that she was being intimate which confused him wondering if it was easy to get a woman's affection but shook his head thinking it was only his imagination. It's only been a week therefore they haven't had any development.

His footwork had become less chaotic, moving in a way that used the style of Insect breathing which was precise and quick but Ryuu knew it lacked something that he was unable to make any form.

In terms of sword skill, Ryuu had learned every striking Technique that Shinobu had learned from her the vital points of a human or rather a demon's weak spot.

He is able to learn it by using [ High speed thought processing ] skills remembering everything thanks to his [ Eidetic Memory ].

He finds it ironic that he's willing to study and train more than being at school. Ryuu took the principles of everything he had learned to think of form.

Currently, Ryuu was upside down hanging in a tree with his upper body naked as he had been doing sit ups.

Shinobu hadn't trained him today due to having a task given to her by Ubayashiki. Fortunately, the other Hashira was out on a mission and didn't disagree with leaving him alone.

He didn't mind since he already remembered everything that she thought and only needed to apply it to his body. Ryuu took out a pen and paper writing every idea that came to mind.

'Shinobu forms are mostly strike since she only delivers poison towards her enemy then what should be the perfect combination to it among the Hashira?'

Ryuu thought of planning to mix two or more Breathing Style to create a new and improved technique. He couldn't rely on simply striking his enemy especially if their body is thick and sturdy.

He twirls the pen around picking up the candidate among Love Hashira, Stone Hashira, Sound Hashira, Flame Hashira and Mist Hashira.

'Hold on..Mix Love, Insect and mist together considering they rely on precise and swift strike.'

Ryuu started writing on the page of the paper getting the perfect Breathing combination for a specific style. He ended up making at least three styles of breathing form.

'This should be good, [ Breath of Plague ], [ Breath of Calamity ] and [ Breath of Blood ]?'

The first breathing form was a mixture of Love, Mist and Poison due their style of swordplay had some similarities namely swiftness, precision and control along with agility and flexibility.

He hadn't yet wielded his preferred weapon but knew they were the perfect combination. Ryuu put aside the other two for now and jumped down from the three landing on his feet while putting the pen and paper into his inventory.

Ryuu made sure no one was any person close by before using his [ Blood Magic ] to create chains around his daggers to replicate a similar weapon to Uzui. He inspected his weapon before nodding and began to take deep breaths that caused steam of air inhaled into his lungs.

The leaves from the trees that fall after he descend slowly descended but Ryuu opened his eyes and everything slowed down into a crawl.

Whoosh!

In an instant, Ryuu precisely struck every leaf before they could even touch the ground. It was quick and precise that wasted little effect of staying in one spot.

'Should I consider it my First Form? Plague strike? Yeah I'll just go with that for now.'

He smiled at the progress and took the whole day, perfecting every movement possible. He slowly and surely realizes the difference of knowing Total Concentration Breathing to having a form.

Several hours had passed and the sun was about to set, so I decided to call it a day. He dispel the blood chain before heading back to the Butterfly Mansion to take a bath.

Ryuu soon arrived where he was greeted by the children in the mansion. They grew fond of him, treating him as their big brother.

"Aniki are you going cook for us!?"

He chuckled since Ryuu had once cooked for them and instantly enjoyed his meal since he added some spices while they weren't looking. In this time period, Spices and other flavors were extremely expensive to acquire beside soy sauce.

Ryuu went inside and agreed to cook for them after he had finished taking a bath. Once that was done, he headed to the chicken and began preparing their meal helping Aoi.

They soon sat down for a meal when Shinobu arrived from her mission which was rather quick in his opinion but then recalled that her overall power had vastly increased due to her [ Aura (Rwby) ].

Her speed was already superhuman and adding the Aura only multiplied it by several folds. Though, it might have to do with her mission.

"Welcome Back, Shinobu-san. How did your mission go?"

He placed the meal into the table as they began to sit down and speak about her day. They finished having dinner and continued their training regarding magic.

Shinobu had been adamant in acquiring magic. You might be wondering why she doesn't just buy one in the system. The reason being that the required Points are extremely expensive and would need her to slaughter numerous demons just to buy one magic skill.

Furthermore, the [ Gacha ] mostly gave her junk and Ryuu hadn't even used his after being too busy training. Yet again the whole night passed and Shinobu still hadn't gotten her magic.

"You weren't lying when you said that getting magic isn't easy." Shinobu commented, growing frustrated.

"But you close though. Just keep going and you'll surely gain magic." Ryuu reassured her with a bright smile.

"Anyway, I've already completed and remembered all the insect breathing. I just want to say that I'm going to train with Muichiro next." He continued.

"You're quite the monster. I never expect you to learn these quickly and reach Total Concentration: Constant in a matter of 3 days."

Ryuu sheepishly smiled, understanding that his body was learning at an alarming rate that it was laughable.

He even once wondered if he was even human anymore. Though, the answer might be no since he's someone who drank blood without batting an eye.

'I wonder if Gluttony also consumed a person's luck and talent?' Ryuu pondered considering how much he was improving in a short amount of time.

"But why Muichiro next? Have you found what form suits you?" Shinobu asked.

"I know it's ridiculous but I plan on making three breathing forms."

Ryuu took out the notes from his inventory and showed it to Shinobu who read the content. She nodded understanding where he was coming from.

"I'm really impressed you thought of this." Shinobu praised him.

"Hahaha thanks." He rubbed his nostrils.

"Then I'll inform Kagaya-sama about your next training." Shinobu said.

"That would be great, Shinobu-san."

He gave a wide smile that struck Shinobu, finding his expression radiate calming and approachable smile. Ryuu soon helped Shinobu stand up as she would feel certain fatigue for staying in same position overnight

Shinobu enjoyed the warmth that Ryuu produced, feeling that she was safe for some reason. She was confused about what she was feeling and put it aside.

The two had breakfast before Ryuu continued his trading for the next few days before heading to Muichiro to learn his Mist breathing technique.

He was hesitant to meet them since he is an air head and difficult to talk to. Ryuu soon arrived where he was staying and found him standing looking at the sky.

"Tokito-dono? Tokito-dono!? Uhmm hello??"

Ryuu called out but was ignored, which made frustrated and screamed until he felt danger and stepped back feeling a bit disoriented when Muichiro's movement was far from natural.

"Oyakata-sama has given me orders to train you the best way I can therefore try not to die."

'Fuuuuck!'
