40 Chapter 39 - Love?

Ryuu walked towards the kitchen when suddenly he glimpsed something and instinctually moved to the side to avoid the person in front of him. He was able to notice that it was Shinobu who almost bumped into him.

'What just happened? I clearly see myself bumping into Shinobu'

He was confused why his body moved on its own as it knew what it needed to do. Ryuu ponders if it was due to the [ Byakugan ] that caused the strange occurrence. It was the only thing he could think of but the problem is that it wasn't even activated.

"Oh Good Morning, Ryuu. I was about to go ahead and wake but you seem I don't have to. "

"Good Morning, Shinobu."

Ryuu gave a warm smile before he felt Shinobu wrapped her arms around his own. He looked at her confused with a slight tinge of red.

"I hope you don't mind."

"No, not at all. In fact it feels nice."

He complimented the warm feeling being beside Shinobu who smiled that it made him enjoy the intimate action. Ryuu looked at her and saw her smiling as well. 

"Fufufu then let's go have some breakfast."

"That sounds great!"

The two soon headed their way to the kitchen with Shinobu more intimate than before, with Ryuu trying his best to not be the only one at the receiving end. He was enjoying the two of them just talking and being alone together. 

"Did something happen to your eyes?"

Shinobu notices his dull and dilated eyes and a lifeless wine red gaze. It made him appear blind if it was white in color. Ryuu was a bit surprised that she was able to notice but shrugged it off.

"Oh this, I actually got lucky and got a new ability called [ Byakugan ] that gave me a near 360° field of vision and could see through solid objects. The range is only 50 meters but I could increase it through training."

Ryuu explains looking at her who quietly listens before giving a teasing smile that he didn't like seeing. 

"Does that mean you can see through my clothes?"

He choked from her statement trying to avert her once again before hearing a giggle. Ryuu never expected that she was someone who enjoyed teasing unlike the anime who is more reserved. 

"Aren't you a pervert? Don't tell me this ability came from a clan of perverts?"

It was then in the Konohagakure every Hyuga clan sneezed from feeling someone talking about their most prized ability. Meanwhile, Ryuu couldn't help but agree, wondering if Hinata saw Naruto's naked body when she was younger. 

"Said the one who went to the men's side of the bathhouse." 

He turned back showing a smirk that made Shinobu pause for a moment , having a light tinge of red. 

"But you can't deny you enjoyed it, right?"

Ryuu choked from her words and couldn't deny feeling her naked body pressed against his skin was a surreal feeling that many otakus would die for. They didn't do anything, they just enjoyed the bath together. It was fortunate that most of the Hashira were on mission or busily training. 

"Y-Yeah, I can't deny that can I?"

"At least you're honest. But it's called [ Byakugan ] but it isn't white?"

The rough translation of Byakugan was White Eyes and it was unusual to call it when Ryuu's eyes were blood red like a blood moon. 

"I don't know but it's probably because I'm unique? I'm not too sure."

"Whatever the case it does look mesmerizing."

"Oh do you find me more attractive then?"

Shinobu held his cheek looking intently into her eyes. Ryuu was surprised at her bold action trying to not blush for being too close together. 

"Yes, it does draw me in more than before. Does it increase someone's charm?"

"I-I don't think so? Maybe?"

"I think it would be great if you had longer hair."

"You think so?"

He reconsider growing his hair for a while now but his school dislike the idea of long hair which is stupid. Ryuu decided to let it grow for Shinobu and ignored the school. 

Ryuu could easily buy the school if he wanted to since his network is ridiculous and destroys the economic balance. Soon the two arrive for breakfast and continue his training with Mitsuri.

After arriving at the living quarters of Mitsuri, He was greeted by her practicing Love breathing that was elegant similar to a dance spinning her bendable blade. It was similar to ribbon the way it swayed and moved. 

Ryuu could see three notable things about her technique namely her Flexibility moving in abnormal manner, ridiculous muscle strength to control her blade from getting herself cut by accident and finally the timing in moving her body. It was the last thing he needed for his [ Breath of Plague ] to finally formulate the style and technique. 

"Amazing! Amazing!! Bravo!! That was a spectacular performance!!"

He clapped his hand after she finished performing that caused her to trip but before she could fall, bend her body and stand back into her feet.

'What the hell was that!?'

Ryuu blushed upon seeing her undergarment which was an old panties not like the modern type of lingerie.

"T-Thanks you!"

"Y-Your welcome and I should be the one thanking you since I'll be training under you."

"Oh r-right, come inside. Wait here."

He went inside the building where it was used for training due the open space it provides. Ryuu was still impressed how the whole building didn't have any sword mark showing her control. 

Ryuu waited for Mitsuri who seemed to take something out of a nearby closet then what she brought made him shudder.

"Here, wear this so we can start training."

"Uhmmm I'd rather not be sorry. That isn't something a man should wear, sorry."

Mitsuri felt embarrassed since she brought a leotard to be used as clothes for training. Ryuu warily smiled as he felt partially guilty looking at her saddened face. She seems self conscious about her outlook towards other people.

Ryuu recalled one of the reasons why she joined was because of her desperation for marriage, Mitsuri decided to become a member of the Corps with the purpose of finding a suitable husband stronger than her, a rather difficult task given the astounding level of her physical strength.

Though that may change considering Ryuu's own abnormal strength far surpassed a normal human capable of lifting large boulders with ease and including his breathing technique then he would be comparable to a monster. 

"Y-You're sorry."

"No no it's fine since this is probably your first time teaching someone correct?"

"Yeah, I've tried training some but they end up quitting shortly after. M-My strength seems far too much for others to handle. Are you sure you want to train under my teaching?" 

"Of course! I think we share one thing in common which is immense strength. It was thanks to the [ Body Tempering ] that my strength far surpasses a normal human."

Ryuu excitedly said, trying to reassure that she isn't the only one that has immense strength, which was the reason why she's so self conscious. Mitsuri's eyes glint hearing his words, feeling someone to sympathize with.  

"D-Don't you feel afraid people might call you a M-Monster?"

"I do but that is their opinion and people are quick to judge because they don't understand it. Furthermore, my strength could be used to protect those important to me so I don't mind being called a monster."

Ryuu understood that he had already spilled human blood and even drank it but therefore did deny that he was a monster because he is. It is at least more innocent than letting those scum live. 

They are no different than a Demon who used humans as nothing more than means to an end. A bleak view for sure but that's how reality is. 

Mitsuri fell silent hearing his words, looking at him that appeared more charming than before and made her blush like a maiden in love. Ryuu didn't say those words to flirt but genuinely understood her worry. 

"Oh right, how about we start training?"

He saw Mitsuri in daze before flinching, waking up from her trances and blushes. Ryuu only chuckles at finding her shy and timid personality to be cute. It was a contrast of Shinobu who was straight forward and slightly annoying in her teasing.
