Prologue

"Hey Kaachan?" 8 year old Izuku asked while he and Katsuki were on one of their nature walks.

"What's up 'Zuku," He asked, throwing a stick out of the path.

"What are second genders? I know we were talking about them today in class but I kinda zoned out," The green haired child said.

"Really Izuku? How did you 'zone out'?" He asked, doing air quotes. "That was like the one lesson that you needed to listen to. It's going to affect the rest of our lives!"

"I know, I'm sorry Kaachan," Izuku said, looking at the ground.

Sighing, Kacchan said, "Everyone at the age of 13 gets a second gender; Alpha, Beta, or Omega. Alpha's are the cool ones, they are the big guys that protect their Beta or Omega mate. Beta's are a mix of Alpha's and Omega's but the guys can't have kids. Omega's are the ones that need protecting and have the babies. Omegas never become heroes! Omega's go into heat 4 days a month. That's when they are in a lot of pain and need to be near someone that they love platonically or romantically. Everyone gets a mark that tells them of their mate's quirk and that's how we find them and what our second gender is. Omegas soul marks are on their wrists, Beta's are on their shoulder blades and Alphas are on their shoulder."

"Oh, that sound's cool," Izuku said, happily. "What do you think you will be?"

Bakugou grinned. "Obviously an Alpha! Have you seen my quirk? It's definitely Alpha material!"

"I wanna be an Alpha too!" He said, pumping a fist in the air and they continued on their journey happy. Little did they know this happiness wouldn't last…
