Chapter 37: A Night You Will Never Forget

"What is this...?!"

Somewhere in Japan on a beautiful Mansion, a girl was watching the moon outside. With her almost emerald eyes she looks around her surrounding. For being a mansion with a view of the city it sure has a huge backyard...Well, not as big as some of their vacation houses around the world. Speaking of vacation she wonders whatever are her friends are doing tonight? Hmm, the time differential is 7 hours so it should be the afternoon around 1:45 P.M. Most likely Richard must be urging their group to play in Omega.

"I swear that's the only thing in his mind sometimes." The teenager said as she fixed some of her locks of hair that slightly hid her left ear. This has been a Night to Remember that's for sure. At first, she didn't want to be here, to begin with...not like she had a choice about it. However, she changed her mind as the mention of the Arifer family. Who knew that she will see him besides when she was called to defeat some bugs in Omega.

"Alice." Speaking of him. Hmm, dark navy blue tuxedo suit...it suits him well. His hair slicked probably from the gel he must have used. It seems that he isn't comfortable in a tie since he is trying to re-adjusted but failing miserably. Walking with her crystal high heels and red dress. The red-haired Dark skin girl just walked to him and adjusted his tie.

"There!" She said with a bright smile. That got the boy blushing.

"Ah, Er, Thanks..."

"Oh! Sorry...It's I'm used to doing this with dad and..."

"Oh, no worries! Is your father the one with the gray tuxedo and glasses?!"

"Yeah, that's him."

"Still...I can't believe that your mother was there and just told everyone you were her daughter! That shocked me!" It kind of surprised her too. But, it felt more like she was forced to say she was her daughter. It frustrated her...it was as if she was an embarrassment to her?! If only...

"Yeah..." Jessenia right now might be by her mother's side. She will not be surprised if by any moment she will arrive to pick her up by her mother's command. Man, walking on these high heels is becoming a pain, is no wonder why she never wears them. How in the hell do models walk in these without tripping once or twice?!

"You seem to have difficulties walking with those." Asked the brown-haired boy.

"I am not good walking in these." Laugh nervously the red-haired teen as she walked carefully and slowly. She is used to talking with other people, is just that she is not good walking in these things.

"I got you," The boy helped her up on keeping herself balanced. Sexan has been talking to a lot of people in the party. He is used to it too, I mean being the son of the president of a company that is partnered with Hishikawa Enterprise is expected for him to be in these types of invitations. Some people say he can be the next in line to take over Arifer's R.S. & D.D. The two businesses are different but they are own by his father and uncle. He, on the other hand, would like to do something different. He actually will like to work on Omega Corp. Yeah, it is very risky when he gets to face against black hat hackers or dangerous bugs but he enjoys defending that game. In fact. he will like to someday create a team of his own to take on others around the globe. Cement his very own legacy as one of the top 10 Omega Teams in the world. Yeah, that will be the dream.

"Er...You can let go of me now." Arifer wakes up from his dream of holding the Omega World Team Tournament cup up above his head to having his hands on the waist of a beautiful red-haired Japanese teen.

"Ah! Sorry!" The sudden release made Alice stumble and land on her butt.

"Wah! Oof!"

"Do you have any invitations?" Asked the two new "guest" that were outside the gates to the mansion. The two guests looked at each other and smile.

"Yes...we do. Let me get our passes from my purse." Said the smaller female who was dressed in a white evening gown holding a black purse with lots of fake diamonds designed on it. Said girl reached for her purse before something shined from her neck and a maze enclose all three of the individuals involved in this conversation.

Having her daughter here...it was strange, to tell everyone that she was her daughter...It was risky but she had to. Especially now that the future of Hishikawa's Enterprise can change depending on this deal being accepted. If Hishikawa's Enterprise merges with Arifer's R.S. & D.D. The landscape of businesses in the future will not be the same. Even more, meeting the son of the owner of R.S. He looks just like...

"Milady, would you like me to get Lady Alice?" Asked the lilac-haired maid to the C.E.O. Of Hishikawa's Enterprise. It would be rude for her to go herself to look for her daughter so she decided that Jessenia will be a better wise choice to send.

"Yes...Also, make sure that she comes here safe." She might look like a paranoid crazy woman saying this...but, she is concerned about her daughter. Just because they're in a trusted party does not mean that someone might have come to try and kidnap her daughter, especially when she announced it to the world. I mean there are many news journalists here which are expected since this deal was one of the most important deals in Japan's future. Twirling the wine she remembers the first time she met her husband. It changed her perspective on the world. She was very lucky to have met such a kind man in this country. Jessenia has been a good asset to the Hishikawa family, being a former bodyguard for hire she was the perfect qualified maid for her and her family. Now leading the charge by being her main maid the Hishikawa family can be under the maximum protection.

"Mrs. Hishikawa." Right now, she must remain as calm and stoic as she is on every one of her businesses. Even if inside she was worried about her daughter she must become the strong and strict CEO of Hishikawa Enterprise.

"Good...Although I would've liked it if they were...less thing to make disappear."

"It cannot be helped, the fewer people that know we are here the better." She does have a point. It is strange how the trail leads them here. They got back to the HQ without the pearl. Although, LeDutch didn't seem to mind. In due time he says. He does not care what that man does with the pearls, the important thing is getting rid of this curse so that way...they can live their own lives. Although, he loves this job he did make a promise to the Doctor.

Make sure Kula can have a good and successful life. Mol will probably be back on the street and recreate his gang. Min seems to not mind where she goes so long as the nightmare is over. She probably will go back to Italy or somewhere like Iceland. What about those two...Well, he is sure they'll find a way to co-exist in their new lives. Funny how 1 project joins them together to become one of the most notorious terrorist groups in the world.

"Hmm?!" His legendary piece glowed just like when he met Kurosagi.

"Oh?!" Kula felt it too...A legendary piece owner...here in Japan?

For him, it meant a lot because it meant she was considering him a friend already by that small logic. To think that it took 12 years to meet someone that he felt something strong about it. Alice Hishikawa, she is the most amazing teenage girl in the world. But why was his necklace glowing? This never happened before!

"I...Let's go back!" Alice said. She seemed worried which confuses the brown-haired boy. The red-haired teen, however, she had a really bad feeling.

"Okay. But, before we head back, can I show you something?" Show her something?

"Um, sure."

"Okay...Er, can you close your eyes for a moment?" The red-haired Japanese teen was confused. Nevertheless, she complied.

Sexan took something out of his pocket. It was glowing a bit but not by much. The dark blue patterns made it a beautiful pearl and it was mesmerizing, to say the least.

"Okay, you can open them." She did so. Upon opening her emerald eyes the dark skin teen was indeed mesmerized by the pearl he was holding in hand. Dark blue with a glowing effect inside she presumes. This pearl...

"How beautiful...what is this?"

"Is one of my family's biggest possessions. My dad bought it in an auction from a Museum...it was over 90 million? Or was it a 100?" 90-100 Million!? That's...

"That much?!"

"Yeah, I was surprised myself. He said it was worth it as it is one of a kind pearl. He called it Ragnarok a rare pearl said to have been lost for hundreds if not thousands of years. "Eh?" Sexan shook his head before continuing.

"Oh! Um, I don't know what to say to that...Um, Thanks." Alice didn't know what to say. She feels flattered that the boy thinks of her as someone important and a close friend but the very close...

"Ah! I meant as a friend! Yeah!" Oh! I guess she jumped into conclusion...Still, why did it felt like it meant something else? She has been in this position before. No, not being in this position, more specifically she has been on the other side of the shoe...Could it be?!

"Jessenia!" If the lilac-haired maid was here that meant her mother must need her for something. Meeting more people she presumes.

"Milady wants you to come back to the mansion." The lilac-haired woman looks towards Sexan before bowing.

"I will be taking Lady Alice back, If you want to join us you are invited to come back with us. After all, your father is the host."

"Oh! Of course. Er, on second thought I'll go later." That's weird why would he be worried about coming back...Oh, right, the pearl.

"I think is for the best. Let's go, Jessenia!"

"Yes, I agree it is for the best..." Said, someone. The voice came from behind Sexan. Turning quickly and backing away Sexan sees two people. He doesn't remember them being associates of his father and that girl seems way too young to be anything but an associate. She doesn't even have any traits that will indicate that she is that man's daughter.

Alice Legendary piece started to glow even stronger, in response, all three other necklaces responded in return.

"This is interesting..." Said the man as he looks at his legendary piece.

"Who...are you?" Arifer asked not letting his guard down. Thou, that is futile against him.

"Does it...really matter?" Responded in return the man.

"Rusher LeGrace." Answered Jessenia. She has heard of him from people around the world. He is wanted for bringing chaos to different parts of the world. Responsible for thousands of casualties of the last 10 years. Leading a dangerous group of terrorists known as LeGrace on every part she went she was warned to steer away from them at all cost. But here he is...Why thou?

"Do you know him?!" Alice asked. She hasn't seen her legendary piece glow this much in a long time. This time her legendary piece seems to be warning her that these two...were not here to chit chat about how her mother or Sexan's father's company will revolutionize the future of real states and delivery services.

"Rusher Ragnarok is here..." Said the girl before looking at the three people in front of them.

"And one of them has it." That put a smile on the blue-haired leader. At last.

"I see...So our search for it may come to an end." He cracks his mechanical hand.

Jessenia put Alice behind her.

"Stay behind me, Princess!" As much as Alice would like to oppose her she is correct. She doesn't have her D.O.B.I. As it is completely unnecessary to bring such a thing to a party...she wishes she has it in hand thou.

"Humph. Kula,"

"Yes," Her legendary piece glowed before a giant maze started to construct around them.

"What...is this?" With no place to escape Alice felt the walls closing in.

Jessenia took this opportunity to throw something but Rusher stopped it in time as it got stuck on his mechanical hand.

"Ah, Impressive. I see..." He looks at the knife trusted in his arm as static starts to come out of it. He took it out of his arm.

"Now that I look at you closely. Yes, I remember you from the time we were searching for parts to reconstruct it. Kula looks at one of the profiles and suggested to steer away from you if we didn't want to cause a commotion in the streets. Jessenia Amberland, Le Bel Assassin." Under normal circumstances, he would have to be careful around her. However, now that he has this piece and The M.I.S.T. It shouldn't be a problem.

"Rusher one of them also has a legendary piece...no there are two." Two...Hmm ah, he sees them. One is on the red-haired one and the other...

"Rusher she doesn't have Ragnarok." Ragnarok? Was it the pearl that Sexan showed?!

"Sexan, Run!" Alice in full panic yelled to the brown-haired boy. It took a second for the boy to react to the girl's response...thou it would not matter as time slowed down again before it went back to normal. Sexan just fell with a thud but this time it wasn't because of Rusher it was because there were needles on his neck.

"You are not going anywhere...thou you wouldn't have anywhere to go, to begin with," Kula answered as she had a handful of needles on her free hand. Are those computers floating on the orange-haired girl?!

"Hmm...We are wasting time, let's just get Ragnarok and then head to the Headquarters." Rusher proceeded to search the boy until he found what he was looking for.

('Dionne.') This was it. At long last...Their freedom.

"Hmm?" He felt someone grab his leg. He might not be Kurosagi but he was just as annoying as him!

"I...can't...let...you..." The necklace in Sexan's neck glowed faster.

"Kid, do not make me change my mind. If you value your life then I suggest you stay down and let go of my leg...IMMEDIATELY!" Rusher with anger stomped on the boy's hand making him scream.

"Sexan!" Alice felt completely useless...if only she had the same strength that she has inside Omega she could do something. Who is she kidding Omega is just a game is not real life! Damn it...these Legendary pieces...why do they have to be the ones holding them. It does not help that this shrilling sound is annoying her!!!

Something scrapped Rusher's cheek leaving a trail of blood trickling from his new wound. Jessenia was standing, taking a few breaths holding a few knives in hand.

"Humph," The owner of the legendary piece La Estrella Del Leopardo Kicked Sexan before going after Jessenia. Slowing time once again the blue-haired leader of LeGrace thought the result was the same but...

Rusher had to back up but his shirt got sliced off in the middle.

"Oh, that's a first." He said looking at his now damaged shirt. It seems that Jessenia has figured a way to counter his time slowdown from his legendary piece.

"But then again, is no surprise from a former assassin. Maybe I shouldn't underestimate you as much as I thought I should." The sudden aura around him intensifies.

"Rusher."

"This will only take a few seconds." the wound that previously was caused by Jessenia was quickly healing before the said man disappeared this time it was time slowing down but Rusher's speed going up.

('So fast.') Blocking with her knife Jessenia struggles with Rusher. Whatever he did it must have enhanced his strength and speed even more than she imagines. She has noticed since the beginning the legendary pieces that the two have held. This makes her wonder if they were after the legendary piece that Lady Alice held. Even more, she saw Rusher picked up a pearl similar to the one that was on display a few minutes ago before being put what she assumed into a safe place. How was the boy able to get the pearl without anyone noticing is beyond her.

From blocking and dodging Jessenia was only able to go on the defense but even she knows it will not last long. But is her duty to protect Lady Alice, even if it cost her life.

Rusher, on the other hand. needed to end this quickly before the M.I.S.T. Side effects came to full force. Luckily, for him, The blue-haired leader of LeGrace has managed to control it better than his comrades including Kula who is the daughter of the one who created this project. It wasn't the Doc's intention to bring harm to whoever got contacted with this M.I.S.T. But the mission was to create the perfect super soldier and if it took many sacrifices to do so...then he can be grateful he is one of the survivors. He bet from the hundreds that try, they would have loved to be in the place that he is in currently...well except the fact that he is working with a man who wants to create a super-weapon for some reason. But he does not care so long as those pearls help with one result: freedom from this cursed M.I.S.T. Just how long before...

"Tell me something. Why do you insist on getting in the way of our mission? You gain nothing from this, yet here you are getting in the way."

"That pearl you took...It does not belong to you. Even if you are going to sell it to a high bidder I cannot allow you to leave with it. Besides, I cannot let you harm Lady Alice."

"Lady...Alice...Oh, I see." Rusher looks to the direction of Alice.

"If that's the case..." Rusher's mechanical arm transformed into a thin cannon before it starts to chirp before he disappears and reappears behind Alice.

"You would not mind throwing your weapon away and let us pass." The blue-haired leader of LeGrace said cannon pointed behind Alice's back. The red-haired girl could feel the heat of the cannon and be now scared for her life.

"...Tch!" Jessenia had no choice...if she makes a move chances are Rusher would pull the trigger...if it has one! Nevertheless, she had no choice but to obey his "request".

"Glad we have come into an agreement. Kula, find a route we can get out of here. Our job is done."

"...yes." She feels useless...if only there was some way...ANYTHING! She doesn't care! And this noise! Argh! It is very annoying! Who is doing all of that noise...is that man isn't it? That thing...whatever his arm is, that is what is doing the noise isn't it!!!?

"Hmm?" She has to shut it up. Shut it up for good!

"Annoying...You...YOUR SOUND IS ANNOYING!" Rusher didn't even have time to react as Alice just tossed him very far.

"What?!" Where did that girl get the strength to...?!

"Lady Alice?" Dark Red Aura...she has only seen this once in her life. It was the time that...

Rusher shook the cobwebs from his head before blocking someone's fist. He heard a bending sound, probably from his mechanical arm cannon that was blocking the fist. When did this girl...Could it be!?

"This is quite the interesting turn of events." appearing at the speed of sound Alice corked her fist only for this time to be stopped by Rusher. Both legendary pieces glowing intensively, The blue-haired former military veteran tries a kick only for this one to be grabbed. Rusher uses this opportunity to aim at Alice only for this one to dodge the bullet by tilting her body back as if she was playing limbo. Shot after shot the red-haired teen moved left to right at a fast-paced that you swear you were seeing doubles. The red-haired Dragon Screw Leg Whip Rusher before she pounced and try pounding him with a fury of punches. After the third connect time slowed down before it went back to normal only for him to be behind her holding her on a sleeper hold.

"Gah!!" Struggling the red-haired girl who was filled with rage and hearing the annoying shrilling sound that was driving her crazy thrashed about before she started elbowing him in the stomach. After the 3rd hit, he let go before time slowdown again. This time, however, Rusher was surprised when the red-haired girl turned quickly and punched him. He noticed something else when he held her on that sleeper hold...His M.I.S.T. Was dissipating by the red aura that is surrounding her...maybe...this girl's legendary piece might...

"Lady Alice..." Jessenia tries to calm her down but Alice world...it was all red and shrilling sound...everything was a shrilling sound. It was so much that she accidentally shoved Jessenia so hard that she hit her head with the maze wall and knocked her out cold.

"I hate you...I HATE YOUR SOUND! DORYAH!!" The red-haired follows the battle-cry with an uppercut.

"I do not know this sound you are talking about. But..." Rusher has only used this once...

"That's...!" She has seen this only once and it was to demonstrate to LeDutch why he could trust him with the mission they have at hand.

"I have a mission to finish. Thou, you have picked my interest." Rusher said with a blue aura that was reflecting an animal with ears and tails. That animal was a leopard. This was the legendary piece La Estrella Del Leopardo's power being influenced by the M.I.S.T. With such swiftness it only took 1 semi-blink and boom the aura around Alice was no more. The legendary Piece despite her owner being knock out cold was still shinning but then...it stopped.

"Alice!" Rusher with a sigh returned to normal.

"Rusher!" Rusher looks at the concerned Kula before looking at his mechanical arm.

"TCH!" he is glad that it only consumed the mechanical one at least half of it. It didn't take his flesh...lucky him.

"Kula...Change of plans, we are taking this girl."

"What?" Taking the girl...Why?! Is there something that grabbed his interest?! He hovers her on his shoulders.

"Be grateful today that I am sparing you, kid...I pray that we will never see each other again and if we do...Then is to witness something...beautiful. Kula, we're leaving."

"...Yes..."

"Wait...! You...Bastard...!" Those were the last words of Sexan before Rusher left with not only Kula but Alice.

What...That's her mistress...

"Jessenia!" Opening her eyes the maid saw her mistress Ayame by her side.

"Milady." She looks the other way. She can't look at her right now, she has failed her...she couldn't protect Lady Alice. Rusher LeGrace, he was stronger than she anticipated, he was...inhuman.

"Where's Alice!?" No response...

"Jessenia!!" She can hear the desperation in her mistress' voice...

"Where's my daughter!?"

"Calm down, Miss Hishikawa!" She just hopes that Lady Alice does not get hurt. But to find her now...there can only be one man capable of doing so and he is currently in France. Her mistress must set her grudge aside and ask for the aid of one of the people that were part of a group that the red-haired was in...Xino Kurosagi.
