"The kind of life I have lived in these eighteen years... the pains I have endured, you cannot begin to imagine..." Neveah whispered, her voice cracking.

"Now, you come to me with a claim that all I have ever known was a fallacy and all I can think of to ask is... why? If this is where I belong, why was I made to know the life I did?"

"What have I even known all these years? What am I exactly? Who am I?" Neveah asked in dismay.

Kaideon could sense the depth of Neveah's pain with each word she said and though he knew nothing of the life she had before King Jian had brought her here,

  Kaideon could see Neveah had not lived an easy life as everyone was led to believe and the thought of it broke his heart.
